8nm isn't "technically meaningless" do any of you all want 2hr battery life from full charge to dead? I sure don't. Fact is, nintendo sat on finalized switch 2 hardware too long so they could get maximum sales from switch og. Now we'll get a switch 2 thats more outdated than the original switch was upon its release.

@HeftyLaces Problem with physical these days is theres almost no games without patches that make them drastically different from what shipped on the cart or worse entire portions of the game needing to be downloaded.
So buying physical in the modern era of gaming doesn't fix the problem.
Carts and disc's now are just "keys" to access the content on a server.

@HeftyLaces Because hardware doesn't last forever. Why defend corporations, theres absolutely zero reason our purchases can't be fully forward compatible forever.

@rushiosan 100% agree. Its 2024 and this idea of moving on to new hardware and losing past purchases completely is mind blowing. We have to stop supporting this practice. I went all digital with switch and have literally thousands of dollars invested in that ecosystem.
Theres absolutely no reason consoles can't be like pc and be backwards compatible with everything we've ever purchased.

I'm not interested in starting over on switch but I'd definitely buy it and continue.

@Cotillion you've never used ssd in a closed ecosystem with games tailored directly to its strengths. Ps5 is going to be a monster. You cannot compare pc to the closed system of consoles that can be pushed to full capacity.
Ssd is just one part of the equation. Looks what's possible now with ps4's jaguar CPU, zen 2 is leaps and bounds beyond that. I'll never understand the pc to console comparisons.

@PcTV smallest gen jump yet? Where'd you get that false info. Ps5 and scarlett are vastly superior to current gen in absolutely every possible way. We havent seen this kind of graphical leap since snes to n64.

@Thermoclorn I agree. I personally love the idea of going digital but I still love actually owning games. Add that to the fact that I can buy day one games 20% cheaper with amazon prime or best buy gamers club. For people buying physical I don't see why 32 won't last well into the systems life, possibly it's whole life and never end up needing to expand. I can't wait for switch!

I really hope that switch doesn't kill off 3ds and we get games for a few more years. Its by far my favorite handheld of all time.

3ds needs a price drop, period. It's crazy they still want $180-$200 for it. It should be $100 now.

I guarantee this is nothing but the announcement and launch of Nintendo account for north America. Live for wiiu and 3ds.

All the stock shortages and store exclusive figures coupled with the fact that they really don't do anything, I'm kinda over amiibo. I'm more looking forward to disney infinity 3.0. Nintendo could make a killing if they made a game like infinity for amiibos.

A unified account system is a must, all this system transfer stuff on 3ds is ludicrous in the year 2015.
I should be able to sign in on any current nintendo hardware and see my account and all my purchased games.

@Rod64 I've only played the demo for tomodachi life, but comparing the demo to the videos of fantasy life, I'll be going with fantasy life. Fantasy life for me almost looks like a animal crossing zelda'ish hybrid.

I'd like to see them release the next iteration of the Ds with HD screens and a significant boost in power along with an additional thumb stick, and bundle in with every machine a wireless HDMI reciever that you can beam whatever ur playing to the TV. And have them drop out of the home console market, have the portable Ds home console hybrid and then just focus on great games.

I picked this up yesterday, my first poke game ever. I must say I'm already hooked, its very good for anyone of any age, its just good plain fun!

Unified id login across multiple wiiu and multiple 3ds is what i want. I love nintendo but their online account system is laughable at best, we are 3 months from 2014 and u still have purchases tied to a single system, we shouldnt have to have different mii characters and streetpass progress if we own more than one 3ds and we shouldnt have to make multiple purchases of the same game.

So pumped!

This is a lame excuse. 3d has enhanced so many games and made lots of plain games more beautiful. Honestly between this and the 2ds, I think Nintendo is trying to faze out 3d. It didn't catch on like everyone thought it would, movie studio's aren't pushing it any longer, TV manufacturers aren't pushing it, Sony is no longer pushing it on ps3. I personally love it and only play with 3d so I hope I'm wrong.

@WiiDSmoker I could not agree more. I've got more than one 3ds, I should be able to sign in on either 3ds and have access to all my purchases and my mii progress in streetpass.
