Re: Microsoft Enters "10-Year Commitment To Bring Call Of Duty To Nintendo"

Draxa

@johnvboy they aren’t pushing the deal just for COD though, they are getting several established IPs not to mention the insane passive income from candy crush. But honestly Sony’s so stingy with their exclusives, not to mention their never ending whining about this deal specifically regarding COD, I personally hope it goes through 😂 🤷‍♂️

Re: A New Limited-Time Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid Battle Has Begun

Draxa

One vent of annoyance. If you all go for this grind, pray to your gods during the 5 star raid unlock requirement for this. I kept joining groups of randoms, why oh why do they ignore the type matchups? It would be a grass type Tera raid, I’d have two azumarill and one meowscara (if that’s its name?) join. Such a headslappin waste of time 😂 🤦‍♂️ that ish happened to me like three times in a row 🤣

Re: A New Limited-Time Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid Battle Has Begun

Draxa

If anyone doesn’t know, you need to beat all three story paths of the game, you have to beat the great crater storyline, not trying to put spoilers out here, then you have to beat everything after that story line 😂 then you have to beat about 10-15 5 star raids until the biology teacher calls you and tells you about the black crystal raids to unlock this. I’m trying to make this as vague as possible…. I grinded my ass off to get my son this charizard cause he wanted it so bad 😂 I also trained us both a huge power azumarill to take into this. We got it on the second attempt while joining 2 npcs in the raid even though we just barely did it. Totally epic in the end but prepare to grind for this dude. Meanwhile I’m sitting here with like three perfectly trained shiny charizards in home 😆 🤦‍♂️

Re: Frustrated Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Players Are Reportedly Getting Refunds

Draxa

@Fizza you’re not losing your mind, I haven’t had any issues at all accept the frame stutter effect for distant models and one time there was a sliver of cliff that had a visual glitch, nothing game breaking at all for me and not a single disconnect either and I’ve been having a blast! I have one more gym and two more star raids so I’ve been playing a good amount. I honestly just think those experiencing issues are being the more vocal majority to be honest which is totally understandable, not to mention the deafening voice of the de facto crowd of ragers that blame all of this on those that purchased the game and enjoy it after they watched some glitch highlights reels on YouTube which I’ve seen all through these comment sections 😂 🤷‍♂️

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Scarlet And Violet?

Draxa

I’m going with a 8.5 and the only detrimental factors are the visual glitches etc. I only docked that 1.5 due to what other people are experiencing as I haven’t had anywhere near the same amount of problems personally . I think the visuals are a lot better than Arceus and Sword/Shield. The stutter affect for distant Pokémon was in Arceus as well. I remember seeing those flying gyardos stuttering in the air by the mountain tops 😂. After about 11 hours that’s really the only constant issue I’ve had, I do primarily play in handheld so I’m not sure if that helps. The amount of freedom is awesome, the story’s great, I think the aesthetic looks dope on my oled, the Pokémon models are fabulous. Not to mention the fact I can invite my son into the world and we can actually do things together which is the cherry on top to me. All in all I’m having a great time with it. To say this is anywhere near the levels of cyberpunk bug wise or a ps2 game visually is a ridiculous reach, does anyone remember what a ps2 game actually looked like on release? 😂 🤷‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️

Re: Pokémon Fans Vent Frustrations Online About Scarlet & Violet's Technical Issues

Draxa

My 2 cents in this since these articles are everywhere. So far my son and I have been playing through, hes been playing for about 7-8 hours as well as myself as I got us the double pack. I’ve wondered around a good bit and beat the first gym and been filling my Pokédex as I go and neither of us have come across anything crazy. My sons been going all around the map as well, further then myself. He’s playing on a launch switch and I’m on an oled. The world looks great for what it is and the Pokémon models look better than ever imo. The only things I notice are that weird frame pacing thing with the Pokémon models in the distance which is a bit jarring at first but you get use to it. And I had one instance of this weird visual glitch on a cliff side where a sliver of a section of it looked like it flowed as you moved your camera angle. Not sure if we’re getting lucky or if this is just the new thing for everybody to focus on like the trees in Arceus, but I don’t really thinks it’s as bad as all these articles/comments are saying from my experience so far. We haven’t had a single crash yet either 🤷‍♂️. Obviously the graphics themselves aren’t pulling a xenoblade 3 here, but it’s Pokémon and I never expect them too, at least we got an open world which has got me hooked and we’re enjoying the hell out of it 👍.

Re: Review: No Man's Sky - Right Up There With The Very Best Switch Ports

Draxa

@Octane_st1m I played this on pc years ago and never saw a soul I don’t mind not playing with randoms which doesn’t bother me. My son started getting into it on gamepass after he saw me playing on switch and there are so many people in his area it’s insane. The planet his base is on right now has like 12 other players bases on it. That was unheard of when it initially came out as far as I know 😂

Re: Review: No Man's Sky - Right Up There With The Very Best Switch Ports

Draxa

To add onto my previous comments after about a week with the game I have some updates! Still loving it but two minor inconveniences you should be aware of that might affect your gameplay. There are no Nexus missions as of yet which is the main source of quicksilver to make cosmetic purchases at the anomaly. For example I have about 11 1/2 hours of gameplay and only 300 quicksilver. If we had access to the Nexus missions I could be close to 2k. My son just started playing after myself on his Xbox and he has over 3k quicksilver. You can still get it by various means but the quantities are minimal which is unfortunate to say the least. Hopefully they patch it in later. Another minor grievance is where’s my third person ship view 😂 all good though. I saw my son flying in third person I was like that’s dope but hey what can you do. Hopefully patches incoming, still a great time though. Enjoy!

Re: Review: No Man's Sky - Right Up There With The Very Best Switch Ports

Draxa

@graviton yea I’m not sure if they do. I have played on pc with max settings before and honestly I am still impressed with how well it does in handheld mode, so much so that I’m not even upset about it. Flying in space still looks dope as well. Honestly I feel like the overall aesthetic kind of reminds me of 60’s Star Trek vibes on my pops old table tv, so the rendering issues if I even notice them don’t really bother me that much 🤷‍♂️ Kirk out o7 😂

Re: Review: No Man's Sky - Right Up There With The Very Best Switch Ports

Draxa

@Draxa one more opinion to leave you with. My starting planet was a toxic planet with floating crab and lobster/nautilus creatures floating around swimming in the air that you could zap to get materials. What more do you need? Especially when partaking in the devils lettuce, you answered correctly. Absolutely nothing 😂

Re: Review: No Man's Sky - Right Up There With The Very Best Switch Ports

Draxa

@Draxa to add on to my comment. For those worries about the visuals. They are not that bad to be quite fair, especially in handheld mode with the smaller screen. I’d imagine though playing docked on a bigger screen might mud them out a bit more but I haven’t tested that yet. Looks a lot better than some other ports/titles. For example makes MK11 look like an absolute pile of ***** (yes I know it’s a completely different genre but that’s a massive developer in comparison). And the visuals are a lot clearer than that of that other space game the one with the toys and the star Fox content. Can’t remember the name but I couldn’t get through it due to the blur all over it 👍

Re: Review: No Man's Sky - Right Up There With The Very Best Switch Ports

Draxa

I got this on pc years ago. However I only play my switch these days and strictly got this to play while I’m stoned laying in bed. Started last night. Stopped when I got my base set up with my doors exiting to a wonderful vista of the planet I’m ons rings. Playing on relaxed mode is a nice experience, got swarmed by some drones too didn’t know what they were at first till I popped one 😂 definitely recommend if that’s your thing. Pop in is real but who cares the visuals are still impressive in handheld. I do have an oled though.

Re: Sword & Shield Becomes Second Best-Selling Pokémon Game Of All Time

Draxa

@MajorTom I dunno, I’ve played SMT V and while I thought it was amazing the first two zones I just lost all interest in it. MH stories on the other hand I love both entries and really dug into the second one but for me there was nothing left to do in it after I got the two builds I wanted complete. Pokémon offers a lot of postgame activities which I think is what the difference is and always keeps me hooked. Myself for example I’m a shiny hunter and that is the thing I enjoy most about the series. Compared to mh stories 2 which was amazing imo I only put about 72 hours into it vs the 400+ I put into Pokémon shield 🤷‍♂️

Re: Nintendo Says It Won't Compete With Microsoft And Sony In An Acquisitions Arms Race

Draxa

@Kage_M oh my bad, that changes everything I suppose 🤷‍♂️ you create/program video games now too? Which ones? Since this conversation is going nowhere I’ll leave you with this, if you don’t want a childish response don’t act like one. You talk about seeing the abstract yet all you’ve done is complain about a video game 😂 ok my dude you do you. I just find it entertaining to converse with someone who obviously has such a high opinion of themselves. Good job dodging all my other points by the way and excellent deflection skills. I guess I was trying to win a petty argument at the end of the day, I might not have been so inclined to if you weren’t so pretentious 🤔 Enjoy your day! And remember opinions are opinions, there will always be others with differing opinions from you and that doesn't make them wrong just because you can’t tell the difference between opinion and fact ✌️

Re: Nintendo Says It Won't Compete With Microsoft And Sony In An Acquisitions Arms Race

Draxa

@Kage_M I’m not defensive you’re the one that can’t accept alternate views and preach your gospel as factual when it’s in fact based on your obvious opinions. Your opinions are not fact and your immediate rebuttal is your knowledge of the gaming industry and anyone who doesn’t agree is blind and elementary. You think your being mature my friend, which makes this even more pathetic and humorous. All I need now is a drink and some cheese 🧀

Re: Nintendo Says It Won't Compete With Microsoft And Sony In An Acquisitions Arms Race

Draxa

@Kage_M I’m sorry, did I fracture your ego? I gave a perfectly mature response to one of your earlier comments which you then responded to me by saying I was blind and basically don’t know what I’m talking about as you have “known” the gaming industry for thirty years (which I still find as a hilarious flex) 🤷‍♂️ preach about maturity all you want. Your colors have already been shown all over this thread. Have all the tantrums you want, but please for the love of whatever god you worship google the definition of opinion, cause the nonsense you keep spewing is the furthest thing from being actual facts. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Re: Nintendo President Reiterates That Switch Is "Just In The Middle Of Its Lifecycle"

Draxa

@jamesthemagi I think the oled is the closest to a switch pro we are gonna get. I think they’re gonna make whatever the pro version was gonna be their next console, call it the switch 2 or whatever, and take the next few years to further enhance the product, especially with the ongoing chip shortages etc which seem to have no end in sight and how well the switch is still selling. 🤷‍♂️

Re: Nintendo Says It Won't Compete With Microsoft And Sony In An Acquisitions Arms Race

Draxa

@Kage_M just gonna say that while I appreciate your opinion for what it is, an opinion. There are many others including myself that are enjoying the game. That doesn’t mean that they are being complacent with what you call lazy development just because you didn’t like the product 🤷‍♂️ Different strokes for different folks. I personally think it’s a refreshing take on the franchise.
