Looks like a fun little distraction, but I've always found these apps on the DSI, 3DS and switch a bit clunky. Personally find it much easier to plug these samples into a DAW then just play them (though I realise my circumstance is a bit different from most).

Should be fun for a lotta peeps getting into music though.

@Sisilly_G Yeah and even the Asian release comes with its own import costs. Postage down under would be prohibitively expensive.

Feedback: please do not charge $120AUD for a collection of old games.

...no...no they don't. They want you to think they do, but they don't actually port anything to the Switch beyond spinoffs and games they publish but do not create.

Three times this poll has been announced, and nothing has changed in this time.

They should really just be transparent about what they can and cannot port. Being coy and cheeky only works when a product is at the other end of the tunnel, because the speculation pays off. If it leads to nothing, it heightens the disappointment. If there are no plans to release Persona 5 or revive Etrian Odyssey, just be clear and let people move on.

Wait, 'region free cartridge'? I thought the Switch wasn't region-locked anyway...

I bought this game for a few bucks, if memory serves me correct...and I've never touched it...dunno why...

Honestly, given the damage its done to a lot of people, I reckon it should. It is literal gambling, and since it has ruined lives, it should be classified as such.

I feel like I'm the only one who prefers this new artstyle to what we got from X & Y to Sword and Shield. Those games just looked ugly to me; devoid of emotion. These new ones, although chibi, actually look aesthetically pleasing in my eyes.

Although one look at any social media website, and I can quickly tell this isn't the consensus. Everyone's prolly going to get this DESPITE the artstyle, not because of it.

Not that it matters. That Miyamoto 'delayed game' quote still holds true, double so in the pandemic. They can take all the damn time they need, and anyone who complains is just being selfish.

I already have the original on 3DS Virtual Console, but I'll gladly double dip because the Switch is easier to record footage for.

Plus I never had a chance to play Risky's Revenge; I missed the chance since I skipped the DSI and went straight to 3DS, and then they shut down the servers. Very lovely news.

Looked at their resume. It ain't great. I get that they can't bring back High Moon, thanks to Activision castrating it, but Hasbro should have worked with a more prominent developer. There's the potential in the franchise for an amazing game, but we've gotten bugger all since Devastation.

@JimmySpades That's fine and dandy for DVD releases, but for video games where subtitles are the default? Not really.

People are hypothesising that maybe it's worth it in the event that people take their docks with them...but at that point, wouldn't most of those people be using one of those re-case kits that gut the dock and put it in a smaller shell?

Can they fix the faulty subtitles in Future Connected? No spoilers, but frequently in the opening hours, the subtitle text doesn't match up with what the characters are actually saying.

@LordGeovanni Don't care about graphics. It's more the framerate drops that I heard about. Platforming relies on precise mechanics, and if the game freezes every few minutes I'd consider that unplayable.

Other than that, yeah turn those graphics and render distances down. Portability trumps all.

...if they're referring to the 4chan leak, then no...this time they completely deserve it. Activision/Blizzard is a mess right now, and the world deserves to know it. The point of that leak wasn't to leak Overwatch 2; it was to provide insight on how messed up everything was. To provide examples on what else was in that 'leak':

• four cancelled projects in three months thanks to them being scared of Destiny failing
• workers getting cut hours and rates
• trying to turn every game into an esport
• constant crunch period
• paying university students in exposure
• reportedly having women log their ovulation cycles
• Overwatch 2 put into production frantically
• Diablo 4 will likely be a first person game to fill the void of Anthem
• Main thing halting development was the loot drops not working properly
• Banning FFIX mentions in the office
• Starcraft being turned into a shooter live service, a la Anthem
• Plans for Hearthstone VR canceled

So no, the point of the leak was NOT to leak Overwatch. It was to show the complete disarray from the company. When it came out five months ago, nobody believed the guy, but it's becoming more and more clear every day. I'd link the damn thing, but I'm not sure if that's allowed here. Point is Blizzard is in big trouble right now, and this was BEFORE the 'controversy'.

Figures. They hate console exclusivity, yet they laugh at Switch owners for wanting Persona 5.

Weren't there several leaks about them gearing up to bring Xbox Live to Switch?

Great it's doing so well; the game well and truly deserves it on it's sheer quality alone. Hope this means more FE on the Switch in the future, although hopefully addressing some of the minor criticisms (how it easy it is, some of the ugly textures and modelling and the framerate dips in both docked and handheld mode).

Wow...I guess the saying that 'the 3DS is just a Pokemon machine' was true for a lot of people. Although I never agreed with the statement, many people I knew only bought the 3DS for Pokemon and then let the system gather dust.

Real shame. 3D Land, the N64 Zeldas, Xenoblade, Awakening, Bravely Default, ET Undold...so many amazing games...

Oh...but I have the steelbook...

Really hoping for Netflix and Amazon Prime on Switch, because if you're not American then Hulu's out and you've got nothing.

I'm assuming this takes place before any of the other games in the timeline. Really wish there was an official timeline for these, even though we can pretty much piece together what happens.

It's a little different for the Switch, but for the 3DS I try to get physical whenever I can because of the 300 icon cap.

On that topic, does anyone know if the Switch has a similar software cap?
