@Eel the eshop shows woody woods a board from Mario party 3 and it seems as though the minigames span as far as mp7 from what we’ve seen so far

I’ll never understand the people who are calling this a cash grab for not being dlc, one of super Mario party has a different dice system make it Super Mario party dlc!, has an entirely different board structure to super make it super Mario party dlc!, one of the playable characters in super Mario party wouldn’t work in this game because he’s also the villain game has to be super Mario party dlc!, game has twice the amount of content as super and would be the equivalent of new horizons level of finishing the game later…… SUPER MARIO PARTY DLC!!!!

@johnvboy also you spent 500 hours on the game? That’s not a bad amount of time at all?

@johnvboy that’s on you buddy but it’s undeniable that new leaf had far more content and stuff to do than new horizons has even if you strip new leaf of its one update it still has tons more stuff to do than new horizons with its ten updates

@johnvboy there were shops to upgrade that lasted almost a year, club tortimer which you could do alone or with random people which gave you exclusive furniture and other stuff which you couldn’t get elsewhere and there is no alternative to that in NH, there were more actual events in new leaf and some of them were very creative like April fools or the solstices, there was the cafe where you could do the part time job, in the welcome amiibo update there was the campsite where there would be a new character each day and they were special characters that you could buy special items from, there were the 3ds and wii u in that same update that both let you play 2 very good minigames that gave you special rewards, pwp campsite villagers were way more interesting and actually had unique stuff to give and a variety of minigames to play, there was fortune cookies with cool furniture plus the general furniture in that game was far more varied and didn’t require a stupid crafting system to get half of it, and there were tons of PWPs to make and they just generally fit better than regular furniture in new horizons partly because of how much cooler they looked

@Snatcher the game does the opposite of pick up after that I’d argue those 2 weeks are the best time with the game because you always have stuff to do things to build and find etc and after that it falls off hard because that incentives gone and the decorating system is only really fun the first time you do it not taking into account the tediousness of it

@Snatcher the town hall takes more along the lines of 2 weeks to get and the reason people usually get bored is because there’s nothing to do after that besides decorating and the system can be rather tedious and annoying, lacks furniture to actually decorate with and they barely add any more, and there’s also no building upgrades to look forward too unlike new leaf so it’s literally just decorating and talking to villagers. Not sure about the money problem but I know there are tricks to make money quick. Villagers 100% are that bad and get very stale very fast and due to the new system in place for friendship they never ask you requests or give you jobs until your at a higher friendship level so you have to sit through a lot of bad dialogue to get access to those. There are merits to the game but athers have already listed a few of those

@JohnnyC I don’t think it’s fair to say miitopia was undeserving of a second chance considering it was sent out to die on the 3ds after the switch launched but that’s just opinions I guess

I remember playing this on the wii and I remember it being pretty fun not sure about it’s quality now though

It’s a shame really because at their core their all decent games but because 2 and U both have literally nothing unique about them or anything note worthy at all they get a lot of pretty justified negativity towards them. It’s just a shame that this is Nintendo’s one series that they look at and say “yeah that doesn’t need a gimmick” when in reality it’s probably the series that needs a proper new gimmick each game the most

No the price is way to steep for this even when they’re combined for £50 should be no more than £25

I saw that it was like 900 mb on the Nintendo uk store? Was that a mistake

I think e3 will be interesting this year lots of room between skyward sword and Pokémon let’s hope they fill it well

@impurekind we’re talking about a company who basically refuse to look at their past unless it’s a wii u port which they can repackage for full price, I don’t think they’d ever do something cool like that even if it killed them

@Heavyarms55 I’m sure if they ever make a cult classic that they refuse to sell to people for no reason at all they won’t mind if you do stuff like this

@AtlanteanMan well said I just wish more people understood that there’s no incorrect game to play and that ultimately as long as you enjoy the game that’s all that really matters

@Euler yeah if a whopping 1 2d Mario game it has to compete against that came out earlier than it the same year. A better comparison would be against all Mario games on switch where it is in the middle, higher selling than aces which got a year of new content rather than 9 months

@Radbot42 I think the worst part is there’s a very good chance we never see Mario maker again considering how Nintendo is and I can imagine they’d justify it with the fact it was outsold by a wii u port

I hate how Nintendo just refuse to support these games for longer. Half their library these days is stuff that’s incomplete at launch and needs to be updated so why can’t Mario maker keep getting updated I just wish they viewed it more like splatoon

No for some reason people seem to think that just because gamefreaks games are of a questionable quality that means they are stupid. I really don’t think they would release let’s go sinnoh when they know the sort of people who would get most excited over this game would hate let’s go sinnoh so it would be a really dumb decision to choose to not capitalise on those people and instead make a let’s go game which older fans generally tend to not like

I’m not really into the decorating side as much so I quit rather quickly because for people who don’t care about that the game has less content than wild world

@Tuulenpoika you do realise Nintendo hasn’t ever really supported the smash scene right before any of the allegations from this year came out? In fact most of the allegations were aimed at ultimate players and not melee players anyway so why is this relevant in the slightest?

I can just imagine a Nintendo fan going to an interview for a job at Nintendo and when they get to the question “why do you want to work at Nintendo?” The second they mention they are a fan of them the interviewer spits in their eyes flips the table and burns their application form before screaming at them to leave and never return again

Honestly this game looks so boring the fact this game is literally just fight talk to npc fight and so on and so forth and the fact soundtrack Isn’t great really tells me gamefreak should focus on projects as an entire company rather than splitting the company in top team a and team b

I just learned there is a hard mode in Mario and Luigi dream team so I’m playing through that again

I feel like the people complaining about the remakes not being on the switch doesn’t seem to realise making a new switch engine would have cost far to much for a company on the verge of bankruptcy so they put it on the 3ds instead

At least Pokémon is consistent with their poor quality even in merchandise.

I can’t wait to play no no Kuni when it comes out! I never played the original but I remember seeing someone else playing it and thinking it looked amazing so I was very excited when I found out the remake was going to be on switch

Paper Mario the thousand year door and animal crossing are both tens from me both are masterpieces
