Great review! I liked the first game, but I wasn’t a huge fan and ended up dropping it halfway through because I grew bored. This one, however, is on a whole other level. It’s one of the greatest Metroidvanias ever made, right up there with classics like Super Metroid and Castlevania SotN. It’s also one of the best games I’ve ever played. It runs great on the Switch 2 at 120 fps, and the rumble feedback is superb- you can feel the rain and the texture of metal surfaces on the Pro Controller 2.
No, it's not too difficult—it just requires perseverance and learning patterns, which makes finally beating a boss feel extremely rewarding. I don’t like difficulty options, and I think developers should stop trying to cater to everyone. If the current difficulty reflects their vision, it should remain as is. If the game isn’t for you, then it isn’t for you—it’s time to move on. Stop being selfish and trying to force your incompetence onto the developers.

Controller looks great and is one of the better choices available for multi platform but there are 2 things 3rd party manufacturers will need to solve for the Switch 2: wake up support and headphone jack. Both are crucial for a comfortable experience.
No 60 fps on Switch 2 no buy. Hell this should be able to run at or near 60 fps on Switch 1. They clearly didn't care or spend enough for the Switch version. If this game ever gets a 60 fps upgrade then I'll add it to my wish list and wait for a deep discount.
Such a bummer. If the game doesn't run @ 60 fps on the Switch 2 then I'll pass and wait for potential updates. If it then (if ever) gets a proper 60 fps patch in the future then I'll add the game to my wish list and wait for a deep sale.
I purchased this game months ago and I regret it. The game looks great and plays great in handheld mode, feels like watching the anime but the loading times are so long it ruins everything :/
I actually bought this game a while ago without prior knowledge of the situation. I feel bad the dev didn't get my money. Too bad Nintendo doesn't offer refunds... :/

Re: Nintendo Switch Games With Small Text: The Worst Offenders - How To Use Zoom On Switch
This is actually a huge problem, comfort is important and playing a game shouldn't make you physically uncomfortable trying to read tiny text.
The newly released Hades has tiny and borderline unreadable text too, at least on the Switch Lite.

The game is currently on sale on the UK eShop (50% off). Might as well buy it in preparation for the DLC and QoL features. Always loved the art style.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 18th)
Dragon Quest XI S, loving every moment of it. Definitely my favorite RPG on the Switch, and one of the best games on the system IMO.
