Being able to download some classic Gamecube games on Wii U would be a dream come true. Virtual Console on Wii U eShop is a no brainer too, the GamePad is the perfect device for playing 16-bit gems on. It all looks set to become a reality now, yay!
I'd tend to agree with @HugoSmits too, it's all too easy to blame piracy for poor sales of Dementium II.
I never even saw it on the shelves in stores or advertised anywhere, so how are causal consumers expected to hear about the game and then buy it? Blame SouthPeak Interactive as the publisher for not marketing the game better before worrying about piracy.
@AyeHaley - we've added a guide above to help explain how this is done.
Basically log into Club Nintendo, Click 'My Account'. On the promotional banner (which didn't load properly for me!) you will see a little arrow on the right. Click this and it will switch to the special promotional banner for this offer. Follow the steps to get your game.
Also I found images not loading correctly in Firefox, so I had to use IE!
@ScreenSplitter we'd rather have submissions created 100% using Nintendo Letter Box. You should be able to show off your creativity without the need for other apps
There are still a few places in the comp left if anyone in the UK hasn't entered yet.
@RpgN - the bit where you enter your friend code is all you need to do to enter. As the competition explains, we are only accepting entries from UK residents. Our system can detect the region by IP Address when someone enters the competition, so only readers based in the UK will be eligible to enter. Someone in the Netherlands cannot enter the competition and pass on the prize.
@3DS_excel yup, just wait for our email. So far everyone who has entered from the UK will have a place in the comp. We haven't sent out any emails with our friend code yet.
There are about 20 places left, so be sure to submit your friends code today if you are a UK resident
@SigourneyBeaver - the girls clarified this on their Facebook page:
"There are no wrong or unintentional notes - the “dissonance” that they’re talking about stems from the canonization in our arrangement. For a brief time every four measures, there are two keys being played at the same time with different harps"
These girls just amaze me really, they are so talented at what they do
I like the idea of downloading retail games on my 3DS personally, but it just doesn't make much sense at the current prices. I got NSMB2 delivered from Tesco Entertainment 2 days early for just over £25. As something of an informed consumer, I couldn't really justify coughing up £39.99 to download one of these games.
Not to mention your point about the download not being tied to a easily transferrable account. It's great to see Nintendo take this first step into retail downloads, but I think they've got a long way to go yet. Sony are way ahead of the game in this aspect with Vita.
I trust GAME will be honouring that preorder! I would recommend taking a screengrab of the product page as it stands today just in case if you have preordered this bundle from them
@A-Hungry-Banker it's not out in Europe yet, you might have to wait a little while yet. Balloon Pop Festival on WiiWare from 2010 never did get a Euro release.
Yeah that's how I remember it. As a young teenager at the time, the Sega Master System had a massive stronghold in the UK.
The Turtles NES bundle really did help turn the tide that Christmas. When Super Mario Bros 3 was released in Europe in 1991 I think that really sealed the deal.
