It was cool how unexpected this was, and I applaud them for being sensitive to the horrific events going on in Europe. The Ukrainians really seem unified and courageous in defending their country. My prayers and support are with them.
I feel a little bad for the Russian soldiers too, most of whom probably aren’t enthusiastic about this campaign as service is mandatory I believe.
@westman98 totally agree. I thought it was a fake garbage PR show and commented as such, but there’s never a need to use aggressive, quasi-violent terms like that
I’ve always been skeptical of playing digital versions of games I’ve already enjoyed in analogue.. not sure why. Pandemic is a fun little party game in person but I don’t see myself putting time into it online or whatever.
@JBDD I feel like you’re the one saying you know the truth with which only bad people disagree. Also “heteronormativity” is a useless term to me when a) the vast majority of humanity fit that category and b) non-hetero can still choose to raise kids if interested.
I have neither pets nor children, but declining birth rate/aging nations are not healthy from a societal perspective, as it produces greater burden on the younger generation to care for an older one which essentially never did anything for them. I think parenthood — or at least some form of interaction with children — does provide personal growth and empathy in a way that animals which never outgrow or surpass us do not.
So in short, I find your comments at least as judgmental as his while lacking the same pragmatic justification.
I’m no fan of his, but I’m disappointed at the cruel joy this comment section takes in the misfortune of another human being. I don’t think it’s right to wish harm on anybody — he’s still a person, despite whatever shameless stunts he’s pulled in pursuit of attention.
That said I do think it’s valid that someone who can afford millions on cards probably isn’t hurting too bad from a scam.
@JBDD you’ll have to explain to me why you find it either condescending or narrow-minded, because it seems like a pretty factual position to me. I don’t object to people choosing not to have kids, I just object to this author’s presumption that readers of a gaming site should share her personal taste that people who think procreation is a good thing are morally flawed. The internet so often pushes for unnecessary homogeneity.
@Giancarlothomaz considering his focus on poverty I can see how he wouldn’t be sympathetic to the first world phenomenon of pets being considered a potential “substitute” for raising human children.
Interesting article, but I’m not a fan of the non-gaming-related editorial comments regarding the Pope. I’m not Catholic, but it comes across as really condescending to imply it’s “wrong” for him to say that human children are better for society than pets, and weird to suggest that this idea would be “fixed” by an Undertale playthrough.
I think children requiring more sacrifice to properly raise than pets is pretty self-evident.

Re: 'Pandemic' Will Apparently Be Removed From The Switch eShop This July
@Exciter89 that’s a good point. Risk legacy too
Re: Nintendo Minute's Kit And Krysta Say Goodbye In Their "Final Episode"
That show was patronizing, soulless marketing.
