A very good read. I have as many responsibilities as the next man but I have never questioned my ethics or morals while playing a computer game. I guess I should consider myself lucky. GTA's violence has always been a step too far for some people, on the other side there are those that will refuse to even experience some Nintendo titles because they consider them too childish.

I loved the series on the Amiga, even James Pond aquatic games was a laugh.

I loved Goof Troop on the Snes, it had a great 2 player coop mode. It only had about 5 levels though.

@NMH-TRI Indy heat (amiga/nes), Motorstorm RC (ps3,vita) and Generally (pc, free!) are the best, they are overhead racers in which you can see the whole or most of the track.

Nintendo have to take some blame for this, there are no online multiplayer first party titles. We may have to wait until 2014 when SSB and Mariokart come out for a strong online community to even exist.

Plok was great, it more than held its own in the golden age of platform games. I never completed it, it was tough! The title screen when he plays his harmonica is awesome.

No way! Its just like Kickstart. I used to love that game on my commadore plus/4.

Unfortunately the flashcard in question does not 'hack' the console to enable homebrew and such.

Yes, this guy is the best! 'Hot Head Hop' from dkc2 is one of my faves. If you haven't heard 'Stickerbrush Symphony' brawl remix please check it out, Its awesome.

Looks like it, peach is on a dirt bike. I'm happy they are back, I loved the 'out' drifting.

I think this is better than having GC pad ports, hardly any developers gave you the option to use the GC pad in the first place. I use a similar device to use my GC controller on my pc. My only concern is that the GC pad has only one left shoulder button and the analogue triggers would just be in the way. Still, I'm getting one, the GC pad is the best imo.

The Vita version of Rayman Origins is awesome!!! This is good news. I'm still gonna buy it for the Wii U though, because of the multiplayer.

It seems like a great console and controller but I'm so disappointed that they are destroying the used game market, that really sucks! If they had amazing deals like Steam and the overall price of console games went down by a third I might be tempted, but that will never happen so the Xbox one is not for me.

Amiga remakes? Bring me my Zipstick!
So many good games mentioned above. Wiz 'n' Liz, Fury of the Furries, Bills Tomato Game and Indy Heat get my vote for remakes.

Indeed, I believe that Nintendo gave up with the Wii security after the 4.3 update. I remember getting a warning message when updating to 4.3 that told you your console might break if it has been modded. Nice of them

This guy did not backtrack, he said you can port unreal 4 games to Wii U. Unfortunately his statements confirms the fact that even the idea of making a game from the ground up using unreal 4 engine and 2gig of ram is laughable. The Wii U is not powerful enough. Don't get me wrong, I love Nintendo and know they will always make the best games, but at the moment the Wii U is struggling to even haul its own Menu screens around.

Seeing as you can't buy one yet I would recommend getting the Sega MegaDrive/Genisis Arcade Ultimate Portable in the meantime. I got one the other day, and considering the cheap price they are fantastic.

Cool! This was my favorite platform game on the DS.

I swapped a copy of Home Alone on the Snes for this:) I remember when I first played it I was really disappointed because I thought that rescuing Zelda at the beginning was the end of the game, silly me. For me this was the game that just kept giving.

So far so good for the eshop i suppose, but it has a long way to go. The speed is awful, there is a lack of DLC and the price of a full game via digital download is too high. Nintendo need to turn on the tap and release more of their back catalog instead of slowly drip feeding us games like they did with the Wii. The Wii U can perfectly emulate all of Nintendo's previous home consoles and handhelds. I know it can be done quickly, they managed to quickly release emulators with 10 Nes and 10 GBA games instantly for 3DS ambassadors. Personally I would love a service like PS+.

Ive never owned a Megadrive but I specifically remember in 1991 when I saw Sonic the Hedgehog for the first time, it blew my mind.

@PinkSpider Do not worry, game emulation devices like this have been around for years. The VC will be affected much more when/if the 3DS or Wii U gets hacked.There are products like the Sega Mega Drive Arcade Ultimate Portable that are built to emulate the Mega Drive. Not only are they endorsed by Sega, with 20+ games built in, it also has a sd card slot so you can add what ever roms you like. Anyone thinking of buying a emulation device should look up the GCW Zero.

Yep, really looking forward to this, I loved Mario Golf 64, but it will have to be a hell of a game to beat Everybody's Golf on the vita, that game is fantastic.

I love the game on the Wii U but it is worrying that it does not have a better frame rate than a console that is 7 years old. I have always been a huge Nintendo fan and will always look to positives, but I fear that this console is just not powerful enough to last more than a few years.

It could be a good thing; the delay is surely to create more levels that don't rely on the Wii u gamepad, in order to make a fully fledged release for Xbox and PS3. If this is true then it could mean more content than originally planned for the Wii u version.

I want a console version of four swords with proper local and/or online multiplayer. I never got to experience multiplayer before because extra hardware (cables and handhelds) were required.

I love being able to play a first person shooter at 30+fps on the small gamepad screen, it looks awesome. The UAV requires more points now, and I believe that the bouncing betty's take slightly longer to explode.

My favorite tables are Sorcerer's Lair, Epic Quest and Plants vs Zombies.
Epic quest is like a rpg pinball table, its great fun.

I'm not bothered about the price because Club Nintendo are my best friend at the moment. I finally managed to get enough points for the Snes pad for the Wii and they have sent me two by mistake, that 7000 free points! Good times.

I enjoyed dizzy on the Spectrum, I was rubbish at it but the graphics were great at the time. £350,000 seems quite a high target for a 2d platform game, unless it was planned to be 3d.

Play limits are totally fine, and I'm happy that the publishers get to set the limits, its not like you would have to play a demo more than 10 times to make a decision anyway. I remember when the Tony Hawk 2 demo included the level editor, that was the best demo ever

It is nice to know that someone has compiled all the Snes roms and scans so thoroughly, and I think it is also cool that he is aiming to do this again for all regions. Good on him, it is obviously a labor of love. Pirates have had access to all Snes roms for many years so I cant see it having a significant impact on future sales, if at all. If he cant find a buyer he could always take them all to Game and get £10 on trade in

Rayman Legends is my most anticipated game at the moment.

Good review, I'm loving this game on the Wii U, the plane racing is kinda average and the fps drop does affect my enjoyment a bit but the rest is freaking awesome.

This is good news, remember how late Zelda OOT and Goldeneye were?

In my opinion the ambassador program is a much better reward than a free 3ds game. There are some real gems in the ambassador program like Yoshi's Island, Warioware, Metroid Fusion and Zelda Minish Cap. Don't get me wrong, I would love a free game but I'm more than happy with what I have got given for free already.

Awesome! I want to see a Donkey Kong Country one next.

I don't know why but I have a hunch that Retro Studios is working on Mario Kart WiiU.

@Advancedcaveman I understand part of what you are saying but you are talking about a much bigger/different issue.

This is bad news and a step backwards, Nintendo need to make it at least optional especially if they are trying for the more hardcore market. I don't really understand the logic in not liking achievements. They only add to the game experience in my opinion. Some can be really fun to achieve, some frustrating but they are optional so what is the problem?

Replace your own battery, backwards compatibility with games, backwards compatibility with peripherals and you can use your own usb/hard drive, loving it.

I love Pinball Arcade, it just edges Zen Pinball in my opinion, although I would not like to see this ported to the 3DS...
1. The screen is too small and the wrong shape to get the ideal view.
2. The 3DS does not have the resolution to do Pinball Arcade justice.
3. Sacrifices would have to be made for the 3DS, this is not the case for the Vita or mobile phone versions.
Zen Pinball certainly suffered from these problems on the 3DS, it is a better game in every way (including gameplay) on other formats.

I thought 10 Second Run was good fun, no nonsense do or die gameplay and great value. This game is on my radar.

I do find it a little worrying that Rayman Origins did not make the list. I understand that not everyone has played it, but it got a perfect score from this website. As game journalists do you go out of your way to play games that get perfect scores? Just wondering.

I wish Blizzard would work on Lost Vikings 3 for the 3DS.

Cool, a release date, been looking forward to this game. I'm going to get it for the Vita because it looks more suited to a smaller screen.

I'm not a big fan of the idea. I want a game to be as good as it can be when it is released, not half of a game with the other half added as DLC over time.
