I can't tell you about any secret characters, but I can tell you that the stuff in Cave Story + isn't in this game, including the Wind Fortress.

Yeah, the review copy of Pokemon Rumble Blast is on its way to Phil for review. He's pretty fast with the turnaround. As far as the 2D sprites for the characters, items, and enemies, they're nice, but they just look out of place when combined with the beautiful 3D backdrops. Maybe that's just me, though.

Circle Pad and D-Pad both work well. Circle Pad makes it easier to run and shoot upwards, but it doesn't work as well for the pinpoint platforming sections. So about like it works on every other game where both are available for use.

I have a Super Game Boy 2 for my Super Famicom, but I have to be honest, I was never really blown away by the idea. In fact, I haven't even used it in years.

I was afraid the DSi touchscreen would be a problem for the game and it appears it was. Great review! Guess I'll stick with the iOS version of the game.

Looks cool as hell, but I think the 3DS version is the one I'll be looking for. Not sure anyone will take a chance on localizing a Wii title this late in the game, especially considering how long it's likely to take to localize this one.

It's an online tournament that stores players Monster teams and stats on an online server. You then battle it out with them to move up the rankings and earn victory points. As long as the server is up, those stats and tournament are still there. Once they take it down, that's it. Then you'll be relegated to just battling locally with friends.

Well that goes with pretty much every game and its online mode. If you're going to chance it and wait as long as a year or two, you might indeed have trouble finding opponents to take on. It also depends on how long Square-Enix will leave up the World Monster Championship leader boards.
