@Link79 - For starters, this is the arcade version of the game. The 3D also makes a huge difference in the look and feel of the game. It's much better as a portable game since you can use it as a game you just pick up and play in quick spurts. That was enough for the bump in score, at least to me.

Has Nintendo ever had this problematic a launch with a piece of their hardware before? WOW! Not a good way to top off all of the game delays either. Come on Nintendo, get it together.

I think the BIT.TRIP games are among the best on the service myself. And while we've seen some great games on the service, as a whole, it's been rather disappointing.

And there was a significant difference in visual quality between the Wii and Xbox 360 versions of the game. Far greater than I expected. But if you only have a Wii, it might still be worth your while.

Re: Capcom Blames the Fans for Mega Man Legends 3 Cancellation

This has nothing to do with deciding not to bring out the game. It has everything to do with tossing the blame back on the fans with a statement like that. Same thing with Nintendo and those three JRPGS. If you don't want to release them, fine, but don't make a to-do about an "announcement" and then just basically tell fans you're not bringing them to North America.

Re: Introducing VitaGamr for PlayStation Vita!

These spin-off sites spoken of are not as trafficked because: (A) they are relatively new compared to Nintendo Life, (B) two of the sites only cover a single peripheral for a system, not an entire company's worth of systems, and (C) aren't as embedded into the various search engines as Nintendo Life is.

And there's nothing wrong with fans on here being fans of other consoles and systems and having opinions that are for or against Nintendo or these competing consoles - at least not as long as everyone keeps it civil.

Re: Introducing VitaGamr for PlayStation Vita!

Because it takes a lot of manpower and money to make these sites go and it's much easier to expand slowly rather than take one giant step. We're already giving up the majority of our lives for these sites, you don't want us dead do you? LOL

@KaiserGX - I just realized that you're the one who ripped this game apart in the forums and wanted to write up a review of it to save people their points. LOL Well at least you got a handle on the controls. I went back last night and played some more of it with friends and everyone pretty much agreed that it just wasn't very good. But if you enjoy it, you enjoy it. As I said in the review, there will be people who will be able to stick with it and eventually begin to get a feel for it. I guess it all comes down to personal opinion.

I don't mind the tilt controls on stuff like ExciteTruck and Mario Kart, but if you're going to have sensitive tilt controls, you have to balance it out with a bit less drifting and sliding to compensate.

I did towards the end. It was the only way to navigate some of the trickier sharp turns. Otherwise I was flying off the track and getting that super-annoying blinking return to the track. LOL

Re: Review: 3D Pixel Racing (WiiWare)

ExciteTruck and Excitebots were both far better than this one in the controls department. And I even stuck with it for almost 6 hours hoping to get a better grip on the controls and while I found it improved a little bit early on, I quickly reached a point where it just wasn't getting any better. Even pausing the game is a pain, having to press two buttons at the same time.

Re: Review: Moto eXtreme (DSiWare)

I raced motocross for 9 years (and have the shattered wrist and collarbone to prove it) and I know what a bike can and can't do. I was mostly speaking about the unrealistic physics and maneuvering of the bike throughout the levels taking some getting used to for people expecting a more realistic experience. And despite having been gaming for well over 32 years and playing thousands upon thousands of games, I can't have played them all.
