@TheAwesomeBowser Man, I cannot be more than agree with you !

The Online service is just bad, really bad...
It's just a fact and I even don't understand why some people try to transform the reality into something better...

You have my total support on that dude ! ^^

Just listen the president please and now understand that your fanboyism is not a great thing to stay neutral like me.

"Furukawa Taro insisted during the interview on the importance of innovation and flexibility. Moreover, it may well be that the heart of the business may no longer be home consoles."

I just let you ALL think on that sentence a little bit...

Re: Switch Has Outsold The Original And Slim PlayStation 4 In Japan

There is something that is not said but really important :

In Japan, the PS4 is a home system and the Switch is a portable there.

To compare the Switch to the PS4 is almost a nonsense, especially when we all know how portable systems from Nintendo sells in Japan compare to home systems...

PS : for those who don't know, in Japan the Switch is sold as a portable device that you can eventually plug on a TV.

Re: Japanese Charts: Smash Bros. Ultimate Stays In Top Spot While Switch Maintains Momentum

Why do we have Japan numbers only ?
99% of the people here live or in Europe or in the States...

I'd like to have worldwide numbers too...

If we stay in Japan :
Spider-Man Voted Game of the Year by Japanese Developers as PS4 Games Dominate the Top on Famitsu.

1.Marvel’s Spider-Man
2.Monster Hunter: World
3.Detroit: Become Human
4.Red Dead Redemption 2
5.God of War
6.Octopath Traveler
7.Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
8.Fortnite
9.Conan Exiles
10.Splatoon 2

Re: New 'Life Is Destroy' Trailer Showcases Another Game In Travis Strikes Again

Cobalt

@Agramonte

I think it's always interesting to check out the past time.

Nintendo fans were proud to have full games at launch with no DLCs because YA KNO' DLCs are crap.
Nintendo started to follow the trend with DLCs and now Nintendo fans are happy with DLCs (even with tricky ones like Amiibos).

Nintendo fans were so proud of their FREE ONLINE because YA KNO', on other platforms you have to pay to play online and it's a shame to pay for that.
Nintendo started to follow the trend with no free online anymore and now Nintendo fans explain that it's not a problem because you have 3 free NES roms to play in the package... :/

Nintendo fans were so proud of their original librairy of games because YA KNO', on other platforms it's so bad with all the amounts of ports from the previous generation blah blah blah...
Nintendo started to follow the trend with dozens of ports on the Switch and now Nintendo fans scream that it's a great thing to have almost only ports on Switch...

etc...etc...etc...

So, why couldn't I imagine that Travis Strikes Again sells well and because of that, we're gonna get a REAL No More Heroes...
Maybe to get another Metroid Prime we'll have to buy first a port of Federation Force... why not ?
Maybe to get another FZERO we'll have to buy first a mobile FZERO Adobeflash style... why not ?

Hope you're gonna get my point...?^^

Re: Video: Here's The Only Technical Analysis Of Smash Bros. Ultimate You'll Need

Cobalt

@gokev13

If you read well, I say : " A kind of enhanced port ".

Do I say : " It's a port " ? No I don't... I just try to explain that, FROM MY PERSPECTIVE, Smash "U"ltimate is a game built on Smash U with extras...

To do an analogy, it like buying a house repainted it and build some extra rooms under the roof and say : " THIS is a NEW house that I build myself" LOL

But don't get me wrong, the job they've done is remarkable (The map is ugly though). I just can't stand people who deny facts...
Smash Ultimate is not built from the ground at all, it's the Wii U's skeleton with additional stuffs...

Re: Random: Here's What Mario Would Sound Like If He Was In Sonic's World

Cobalt

It's absolutely ridiculous !

The ring's sound in the track destroy the entire composition.
Otherwise, It confirms what I always thought about the YM2612.
It's a better soundchip than the SPC700 from the Super Famicom.

Better is not the term, it's purest ! Yeah, the SPC700 sounds more "real" because you can use samples but the quality of them is so low that the Megadrive soundchip is more "arcadesque".

For me, one of the best example to understand is this :

Re: Half Of All Switch Owners In The US Have Bought Zelda, Mario And Mario Kart

@electrolite77 said : "And I just see a confused mess. The Gamepad added nothing beyond Off TV Play that some games didn’t offer as they mandated other gimmickry instead to try and justify the ‘innovation’ of the system. The system itself was underpowered and slow to navigate. The Gamepad has a low res screen, poor range and poor battery life. Even after a poor first year, the good games it did get were months apart."

And what the Switch add beyond handheld mode ?
Underpowered compare to what ? SONY and MS ? Guess what... it still the same with the Switch... ^^
The "low res" screen is a 480p screen and ALL the games could be played with that resolution... Do I have to remember you that Xenoblade chronicles 2 drop to 368p ? LOL what's the point to have a 720p screen then ?
The battery life was already better than the one on the Switch and you even could extend the battery life to 8 hours with the 2550mAh one... Again something that you can't do with a Switch...

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Cobalt

And after seeing this video, I clearly see Smash Ultimate like and "Enhanced port of the Wii U version" but with flaws too...

It's Super Smash Bros for Wii U"ltimate" sort of...
In contrary of all the the other Smash Bros, we can clearly see that they used all the material of the previous game on Wii U to build Ultimate.

Super Smash for Wii U was a total new work and not an enhanced port from Brawl.
Brawl was a total new work and not an enhanced port from Melee.
Melee was a total new work and not an enhanced port from Smash 64.

It's not the case for "U"ltimate...

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Cobalt

@AlternateButtons

There is another mistake :

they talk about the 4Gb Ram of the Switch compare to the 2Gb of the Wii U to handle textures... The problem is that the Wii U use 1 entire Gb just to run the system :/
In reality, Smash 4 Wii U runs with only 1Gb and not 2...

EDIT : the Donkey Kong fur's texture on Switch... o_O What the...
EDIT 2 : they reduced the shadows quality... hum strange...
EDIT 3 : What did they said ? Ultimate is the least responsive of all the SmashBros ever with gamecube controller ? o_O
