Am I the only person that really liked Assault on the GC?
Please no remakes. I never actually played Lylat Wars much as I didn't own it, but if I wanted to play it (and I will eventually) I would buy the N64 cartridge.
@ThatOnePenguin I don't have a religion. You can't say you love LGBT people while objecting to them having a video game that takes them into consideration.
@DadJKP We are in a situation where the US President admitted to actively funding Conservative, far-right politics across Europe. America has always been an unhinged loony bin of extreme views. We don't want that here.
Since 2016, people like you have popped up to force your intolerance and we are, frankly, sick of it.
@RoboCube Several reasons. Firstly, they announced long ago what the release date would be - changing that and releasing without warning risks hurting sales and damaging relationships with retailers.
Secondly, if there are bugs, your reputation will suffer if you release a buggy, unfinished game. Studios need the extra time to flatten them out. Huge reputational damage if a game breaking bug was found because they released it now rather than fix it.
Thirdly, relying on your audience to pay money to act as a QA team because a bunch of spotty teenagers couldn't wait a whole week is really bad decision making.
I'm surprised they didn't go with 'Anne' for the girls' name (as in android) given they also have 'Hugh' (as in human).
I thought the demo was good, but I hope there is more to the game than just shooting and hacking, which going by the review it sounds like that's the case.
I'm now torn on whether to buy more second hand S1 games or maybe buy this when I'm paid.
A good game delayed can become great. Most of the time.
I'm really annoyed they are only just now announcing a physical copy of IE: Victory road given I prefer physical and bought the digital thinking they would never release a physical version.
Most films are pretty poor these days and many here would be first to admit that (especially if they shoehorn in politics they personally don't like in a clumsy way) yet the second they criticise a Mario film they rush out to defend it from those "snooty film critics and their media degrees."
Couldn't make it up.
Also people hating the first animated Mario film and calling it the worst film ever (it was average) while the live action Super Mario Bros. film exists is just some kind of brain fart, surely?
Some of those reviews captured my feelings towards films and their scriptwriting for some time, particularly the one about Ritalin. They try too hard to shoehorn in references and jokes without a solid plot to make it compelling and hold it all together. That is nearly every film I've seen in the last 10 years.
One of the YouTube channels that posts loads of rumour nonsense had the temerity to have a pop at Nintendo Life for using the word 'assuage.'
Imagine living in a world where being ignorant and having a vocabulary consisting of 'bro' and 'dude' as a full grown adult is now considered worthy of respect.
I still think it's between RE3 nemesis. RE2 original release and REmake on GC in terms of what the best ones are.
I'd rather they found a way to retcon 4, 5 & 6 onwards out of the franchise and come up with a better overall plot motive beyond "Spencer wanted to become a god."
Re-releases good, new games that involve the original characters better.
Another guy I've never really seen in anything. Except Fast Food Nation but that was 20 years ago and I can only remember Avril Lavigne and Greg Kinnear in that film. And the one who played Mel Gibsons Daughter in What Women Want.
In my adult life the biggest impacts on my ability to afford a home and pay bills have been: the financial crash, austerity (that's public spending cuts for you Americans), Brexit, the Ukraine War, the Liz Truss mini budget, Trump's tariffs and now the Iran War. All caused by hubristic, right-wing people in suits who aren't as smart as they imagine. Putin, Truss, Cameron/Osbourne, Farage, Boris Johnson and Donald Trump.
I can't think of a single comparable impact inflicted upon me by a refugee or immigrant, single mother, welfare/benefit claimant, gay or trans person, Muslim or Left-Winger. Maybe it's the Trump type people who are the problem.
@darkswabber Yeah I'm sure half these comments would be removed for flaming, trolling etc.
If this was an attempt to create engagement for more ad revenue or something, it will just turn the place into a cesspool of far-right bots and trolls astroturfing like every social media site and comment section.

Re: Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream Was Reportedly Feature-Complete A Year Ago
Learned some lessons from previous generations, such as the Gamecube and N64 eras.

@SAHD-Mike Then you are conveniently ignoring all of human history. Religion always gets used this way.
Re: Review: Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream (Switch) - BREAKING NEWS: Mii Life Is Still Bizarre, Hilarious, And A Bit Samey
@DadJKP I think you're confused at what the differences are between facts and truth.
Facts are objective. Truth is subjective. Simply put, you are masquerading your opinions as some sort of empirical fact.
Morality is relative and ever changing. We used to think burning people at the stake or human sacrifice was acceptable.
Being overtly judgmental of how others live is, by itself, morally unpleasant.

@DadJKP Gender has been understood as a social construct rather than a biological one for decades by scientific consensus.
You seem to have confused Sex & Gender, which are two different things.
Re: Review: Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream (Switch) - BREAKING NEWS: Mii Life Is Still Bizarre, Hilarious, And A Bit Samey
@Polvasti There's no point arguing with these people. They aren't rational.
Most people logically conclude that people can identify how they want and it hurts no-one. Live and let live.

Re: Review: Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream (Switch) - BREAKING NEWS: Mii Life Is Still Bizarre, Hilarious, And A Bit Samey
@ThatOnePenguin What an odd thing to say. Why does any game need to be 'supported' exactly?
Could you elaborate on that?
Re: Review: Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream (Switch) - BREAKING NEWS: Mii Life Is Still Bizarre, Hilarious, And A Bit Samey
I had a feeling this might end up getting a 7 or 8 as the previous one was apparently a bit repetitive.
I will get it at some point - I was looking forward to creating Sunnydale from Buffy with all the Scoobies and maybe some series villains.
Re: Xbox Is Reportedly Having "Very Big Discussions" About Exclusivity
Microsoft has exclusives?
Joking aside, it has always been their weakness. That and buying talented studios and destroying them.

@SBandy1 You're being disingenuous. I'm happy so long as it's not a broken mess. None of the above is that, is it?

Are those numbers genuinely important to some people? I only care that it doesn't stutter constantly or look blurry or have texture pop-in.

Re: Feature: "Stop Tagging Us About Bubsy!" - Fabraz On Being Bullied Into Reviving A Maligned Mascot
Why did they give in to bringing the worst of so many boring, generic mascot platformer characters back?
The PS1 game might be one of the worst games ever made.

Seems a high score given how poor the collection is. Especially since the arcade game is the main draw.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo's 2026 Plans Include New Star Fox & Zelda Remake, No 3D Mario
Please, not an OOT remake. Give us something new. Pleased if the rumours about Mario and Star Fox are true though.
I don't see any need for a re-release or remake of Xenoblade either, games not that old. Just play the Switch version.

Re: PS5 Gets An Insane Price Increase – Will Nintendo Follow Suit?
Remember when the N64 launch price was £249.99 and was dropped to £149.99 two months later?
Not to mention the Gamecube was £129.99.
Also remember when PS3 launch price of £425 was considered a bit bonkers? The fact the PS5 Pro cost £699 is already nuts without going up to £789.
Re: Poll: Who's Your Favourite Resident Evil Playable Character?
The lack of love for Claire is disappointing. The RE3 remake and RE5 sullied my happy memories of Jill.
