Huge disappointment. Does not feel like a Pokemon game, and is overall the worst version of the original Kanto games. FireRed & LeafGreen on GBA remains the best way to experience Pokemon, full stop.
Lets Go is far too easy and no wild Pokemon battles is just strange.
A Link to the Past should be #1, and Zelda II has been unfairly castigated here. It's much better than the original, and 10x better than Skyward Sword, Wind Waker or Four Swords.
Microsoft never really had any seriously good, truly exclusive games. Even the Xbox360, which was actually a pretty good console, didn't have too many interesting, unique exclusives other than Viva Pinata and other Rare games. Most could be played on PC. That is why their systems actually fail.
I'm not surprised they have struggled to keep up. Exclusives are why people buy consoles. Its why people love Nintendo - you can't buy their first party games anywhere else.
Exclusivity kept Sony going when they should have lost to the Wii & 360, whether that was Blu-ray winning the format wars or lots of JRPG and SRPG franchises like Demon Souls, Bloodborne, Final Fantasy, Disgaea and many more.
Honesty not a fan of the new UI for FM26 and I feel like I'm the only one.
Also this is Football Manager made by Sports Interactive. IT IS NOT A CRAPPY EA FIFA GAME. Can people at least read the articles before commenting? No, that's too much to ask.
Probably have to wait a bit before buying, but since I no longer have a PSP and getting one and a copy of WotL is expensive, this is one of my must buys.
I loved ActRaiser, the Soul Blazer series and Dark Cloud, and always wondered if Quintet's mysterious disappearance as a developer was followed by some of their team joining Square-Enix, or Level 5 to work on Dark Cloud.
@OmnitronVariant My bad, I had you confused with the guy I responded to the first instance who was ranting about people being "performative."
I'm not bothered if other people do see a distinction and want to pay for performance upgrades. Luckily, Kirby has extra content so I'm still interested.
@SalvorHardin I bought a Switch 2 and I'm enjoying it. I have Kirby and the Forgotten Land as well.
I genuinely can't tell much of a difference on the above video other than running mildly smoother. Extremely sharp graphics and 60fps just aren't as big a deal as some people think they are.
It has nothing to do with whatever you're complaining about.
Idiots influenced by what American "gamer culture" thinks "anti-consumer" means. Meanwhile they don't care about predatory business practices involving, for example, water companies polluting their water.
Just vote with your wallet. These are consumer goods companies making electronics that you can choose not to buy, and "anti-consumer" means anti-capitalism, not whatever impotent nonsense this is.
Stop supporting mindless consumer capitalism - that is what anti-consumerism really is.
@DaveJaVu No Ogre Battle 64 is a massive miss, considering we didn't get it here outside the VC. Like I said, shadow of its potential. It could have many, many more given we are paying for a subscription service.
Panic pre-ordered the Mario Kart bundle in April in UK despite wanting a physical release as I had a bit of trouble finding any Switch 2s.
I was able to find a non-bundle with a physical copy of MKW today and cancel my pre-order. Plus Amazon will now deliver it only one day after launch instead of 2.
Disappointing compared with the Wii Virtual Console. Would love if Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood got an international release.
The SNES library is a shadow of its potential, same with N64 and GBA.

Re: Best Kirby Games Of All Time
Kirby's Adventure has to be number 1.
Also Kirby's Avalanche has been done dirty here. I'm not a puzzle fan usually, but Puyo Puyo and its derivatives reign supreme, second only to Tetris.
Re: 46 Switch 1 & 2 Games You Should Check Out In The eShop 'Black Friday' Sale (Europe)
You should check out Mother Russia Bleeds & BroForce, which are only £1.79 each.
Re: Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Scores Its First Major Sales Milestone
Are NL working on a review of this?
I can't run it on my PC as I can't use Windows 11, so I am interested in the Switch 2 version.

Re: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie - Release Date, Cast, Trailers, Everything We Know So Far
I have no idea who Brie Larson is. Then again I only knew 3 of the original cast. Maybe I'm just getting old.
Or maybe its because I don't watch the 48,611 Marvel films that have comes out in the last 10 years.
Re: Terminator 2D: No Fate Has Been Delayed Again On Switch
I've cancelled my pre-order, I don't want to pay for a brand new game in December when I have other expenses.
I have ordered other stuff in my backlog in its place this month and will purchase early next year instead.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (1st November)
I will be visiting a friend up near Inverness and bringing my Switch 2 with:
Mario Kart World
Smash Bros.
Bomberman R
Kirby & the Forgotten Land
Mario Maker 2
Mario & Rabbids

Re: Mini Review: Xenotilt: Hostile Pinball Action (Switch) - The Balatro Of Pinball Games
I thoroughly enjoyed Dragon's Fury, which is the Mega Drive version of Devil's Crush, so I'm curious about this one.
Re: Terminator 2D: No Fate Trailer Dives Into How You Can Change Key Movie Scenes
Very excited for this one to potentially right the wrongs of historic Terminator games.
Re: Review: Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - An Excellent Port Of A Timeless Classic

Re: Videos: Square Enix Releases New Trailers For 'Octopath Traveler 0' And 'The Adventures Of Elliot'
Not arsed about Adventures of Elliot, 2D-HD looks too messy and ugly as an Action RPG, but looks gorgeous in a turned based one.
Very excited by Octopath 0, looks like some big gameplay improvements. Especially intrigued by the rebuilding of the town.

Best game in the series by far.

Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Seems To Be Teasing Another New Mega Evolution
Mega Evolutions were the worst thing to happen to Pokemon.
Re: Feature: 32 Games We're Dying To See On Switch 2
The only ones I would be desperate for are Clair Obscure & Metaphor.
Would love to also see Granblue Fantasy Relink, surprised that wasn't mentioned.
Re: Forget Silksong, This New Terminator 2D Overview Trailer Looks Stupidly Good
People moaning about the title of the article and making all sorts of implications based on that....take a day off.
Re: Hands On: Forget The Name, Square Enix's New Action RPG Is A Lovely HD-2D Take On SNES-Era Zelda
I find the main issue with trying replicate games like Illusion of Gaia with HD-2D is the art style.
It was fine for Octopath where the combat happens on a separate screen, but I found it very untidy for an Action RPG from the demo.
Re: Octopath Traveler 0 Will Bring More Adventures To Switch 1 & 2 This Year
The best thing from the Direct, along with:
FF Tactics
Persona 3
Hela
Cronos: The New Dawn
Adventures of Elliot
Katamari
Re: Prominent YouTuber Doubles Down On Belief That A Nintendo Direct Is Due This Month
We should probably stop giving these oxygen thieves attention and clicks.
Re: UK Charts: Donkey Kong Bananza Is A Hit, But Sells Less Than Half Of Super Mario Odyssey
Its been less than two months since Switch 2 released. Of course it won't match Odyssey.

Review bombing is stupid, childish, and achieves nothing. I really hate online "gamer culture."
It really is full of entitled manbabies.

Re: Review: RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army (Switch 2) - A Unique, Action-RPG Take On The SMT Formula
Sounds like maybe better off buying the Switch 1 version.
Re: Poll: With One Week To Go, What Are Your Switch 2 Launch-Day Plans?
I'll be doing nothing on launch day, because mine isn't getting delivered by Amazon until the following day for some reason
Re: Persona 4 Voice Actor May Have Accidentally Confirmed The Remake
How about they stop remaking everything and make a new Persona? Or at least do something with the first two, which few people have played.
Re: Opinion: Not Enough People Are Talking About This Early GOTY Contender
Played the demo on Steam and wasn't massively excited, tbh. Maybe the demo wasn't doing it justice.
Re: "If You're A Real Fan, You'll Find A Way" - Borderlands 4 Dev Gives Tone Deaf Response To Price Concerns
People still buy Borderlands sequels? I stopped caring after finishing the first one.
Just buy it second hand. If you want things, save up for them. I had to. I still have to. I don't exactly earn above average.
