50 minutes in and loving it. Playing with the Girlfriend and even she is enjoying it! Me playing as the engineer with her steering is pretty entertaining (she only ever plays games with me). Could definitely play through. Few times, with different friends and switching roles. Also will be interesting just playing on my own. Feels like they have made areally good product with nothing else like it for sure. Usually the GamePad feels like a cumbersome control, but it feels like it has been utilised perfectly.
I sadly feel we are beyond able to argue or justify any process in DLC/locked content/paywalls/Amiibo hunting. Like anything it is only down to consumers to decide if a practice is right or wrong and vote with their money. This is how capitalism has always worked. We get yearly releases, that could easily be updates, however, we used to get sequels (and still do), is it better to have that as dlc? There is no right answer, other than company makes money= practice continues, company doesnt= new approach is found. Also, this gets to the heart of the problem of what defines an adequate game, we expect retail games to sell between £30-£40 (please excuse my british prices), yet some games take months to make and give hours of content, some take years and give hundreds... And vice versa. Our arguing will never solve that, only our approach and appreciation to the game and whether we buy it will. However, if we all went with market values, we'd all be playing COD: Mario edition.
@aaronsullivan Yeah I forgot about the confusion with the artwork etc (I reckon I was 10/11 at the time!). Yeah doesn't look like it'll happen, but we can only hope. I bought a 360 for Rare alone... Kameo and Perfect Dark, think I stopped caring after that. Hi hopes for this Playtonic venture, hope it isn't going to be misplaced hype and nostalgia (something us gamers definitely rely far too much on!).
Completely agree with the video. Never had an opportunity to play even though I feel I owned most of the N64 3D platformers. Definitely feels clunky, but nostalgia will definitely keep me going as would love to see a return to this genre. Hope they can do a deal for Jet Force Gemini as that's one of the only other N64 Rare games I never got to play.
@Xayo Gamecube was my console when I was your age... Try being in high school and your console being a purple handbag. Nintendo will make you a stronger adult!
Games that truly utilise the gamepad to full effect are few and far between, even Nintendo arguably haven't managed to improve on since Nintendo Land. Was it fun developing a game with the gamepad in mind but do you think you have taken a risk by actually doing so? It seems many aren't taking the risk and I commend you for doing so.

Re: Nintendo Download: 9th April (Europe)
ASA. Gotta love a game that actually uses the Gamepad and fun co-op. £16.99 seems fair.

Remember having this game. As a young kid I definitely remember it being fun anyway (though I think everything was fun back then).
