Sonic Wild Fire, I mean and the Secret Rings deserves to be far higher. It was a pretty decent game. It wasn't perfect but the new way of playing had so much potential because it tried to be different and did a good job. Black Knight was a total step back.
I wonder if Galaxy 2 will be unlocked after beating Galaxy 1. Or starting all 3 games. Kind of like how games like Ristar were unlocked in the mega drive collection on gamecube.
@Crockin I'm wondering how it will work. Pointing at stars will be pretty obvious but holding the remote up to move on those beachballs will be interesting.
I still have my wii u filled with downloads. Until they make a true virtual console service with traditional downloads, as others have said, I'm not interested.
Agreed. And a major problem is how hard it is to earn coins. They badly need to be easier to obtain and yes. Give us odds. We need to know what the odds are. Deino was a complete joke.
2006 for me. Having a mega drive and not getting a new console til 2000 made the 3d jump less appealing but I'd never seen anything like the build up to the Wii. From an amazing E3 to the constant adverts It was great.
And it is far from the best in the series but seeing Twilight Princess in action was epic. And games like Warioware, Excite Truck and of course Wii Sports were incredible to see for the first time.
It really was a great year but looks like a lot of the voters are more into recent years, which is cool, but I hope we will see more votes for the older years.
@Losermagnet yep 2008 for me too but that's really because of the 2nd half of the year. With the likes of wii music and an embarrassing animal crossing and a terrible e3.
Origami King looks fun but that just isn't enough. Do Nintendo not understand that the fans want a true rpg? I thought now Alphadream are gone we would get a true rpg since Nintendo didn't want two Mario franchises being rpgs at the same time.
I won't go for it. I'm sure it will be really funny but what a surprise, the combat is a waste of time. I might get it at around twenty pounds or I might just not bother since Switch games never get significantly cheaper.
I loved TTYD back in 2005. I even replayed it last year and it still holds up so well. I would love to see it with PM1 in a collection. It really is one of the best rpgs ever made and PM1 is great. Thank you for the virtual console Nintendo. I never would have played it without the VC on Wii.
I also enjoyed SPM. The 2D to 3D mechanic was pure genius and the game was so funny. Yes they gutted the game to be just an adventure game with basic stats but it was enjoyable. The story ruled and how they took the Bowser is clearly in love with the Princess story to its natural conclusion was amazing. Oh and 8bit giant characters was amazing.
Sticker Star though was a joke. Forcing you to get stickers just to fight regular enemies and when you exhaust your supply and can't fight the enemy so you have to quit and get more was ridiculous. I quit after a few hours and was so glad I bought it for very cheap in a blockbusters closing down sale in 2013. Then I watched my wife play Colour Splash and hated it. Even she hated how long the game took and how pointless combat was. She doesn't believe me when I tell her how good it used to be since she started on Sticker Star but she knew something had gone wrong, especially from the bits she saw me play of TTYD.
Nintendo need to put a good team in charge who get what makes PM so good. Do Intelligent Systems still work on it or is it Nintendo's main team?
And I think I will pick up SPM. I haven't played it since 2007 and could be fun to do it again. Plus it should be so cheap now.
@SalvorHardin what were disney thinking I could have gotten by on the ideas used in ep8 like letting the past die if they followed through on it. Buy noo. Rey just had to be the hero and go with the traditional way despite the film pushing to change it all as much as possible.
Oh and butchering Luke was a crime. His new ideals only work with a different character.
I only crafted the egg bed. The other eggs will just be sold off tomorrow. I don't think I got enough eggs to make it worthwhile which is a shame as I would have liked to make a full egg room.
I'll happily take Galaxy 1 and 2. I would love to get all 120 stars on each game and this could make me go for it, esp if i can play at work - remember those days? - but if Mario Sunshine is in there, it really needs some improvements. I tried it again 2 years ago and the camera and aiming really needs improving. It may have been fine nearly 20 years ago but not any more.
I played Paper Mario TTYD 2 years ago when I rebought a Gamecube. I then gave it to my cousin as a birthday present so would grab a remake/remaster on day 1.
And a new Paper Mario in the style of the first 2 (maybe Super Paper Mario inspired), I would love to see. I really hope Nintendo have seen that Colour Splash and Sticker Star are just not what most gamers want. And the plus to Alphadream going under could mean we get a traditional Paper Mario game now that there are no longer 2 handheld mario rpg series going.
I completely agree with this order. But almost 14 years since Wild World? Wow I feel old. That was my first game in the series. I decide to give it a try based on the praise Official Nintendo Magazine gave it and luckily I had over £30 on my Game card so it was basically a free game.
Damn I'm so glad I got it. I loved it. It may be my most played DS game (New Leaf was my 2nd most played one after Pokemon Ruby). And speaking of New Leaf. 10/10. So many improvements, e.g. holding 9 pieces of fruit in one spot and so much more.
The Switch one has a lot to live up to but it will be the first game I will ever buy for £50 (last of us 2 will be my next one) but Animal Crossing is worth that price. It really is the only game series that is genuinely worth playing for years.
I love the Gotta Catch Em All approach to furniture, fish, etc.
@Milton_Burle I actually only voted for Meteos. I still own it and remember how much Nintendo Official Magazine (NOM) worshipped it. It was why I got a DS. I wonder if I was the only voter 😁

Re: Nintendo 3DS Production Has Officially Come To An End
Great console. My new 3ds in regular size from 2015 is a lovely piece of kit.
Currently playing Yo Kai Watch 1. Seems there's always something I've not played yet 😀

Re: Deals: The Sega Genesis Mini Is Now On Sale For Just $40
No Sonic 3, no thanks.
Interesting that you use the words Go Go Go when they come from Launch Base Zone from the game that isn't in the collection.
Shame I don't have the gif of Sonic shaking his finger 😁

I like the way the Disney trilogy characters make up the smallest part of the cover 😀

Re: Pokémon GO To Throw Out The Rule Book By Offering Stay-At-Home Raid Battles
I just deleted this the other day as i realised there was very little to get from the game when going outside is so limited.
But if things like the wed and sat raid hour/events can be done from home, then I'll reinstall it right away

Assassin's Creed Odyssey on PS4 and getting Meltan evolved by playing pokemon lets go for about 30m.
