@FullbringIchigo How does that make any sense? they just have to make GAMES IN GENERAL, and make the gamepad an after thought, BLOPS 2 doesnt need the pad, but its fun to have dual splitscreen with it.
@rjejr YES! I miss the gameboy advance tv adapter for the gamecube, and even though Nintendo is planning some form of connectivity with the 3DS, why wasnt this ready from the Wii U launch? Since they arent making cross-buy games like the PS3/4, I would love to be able to game on the tv, they could even add splitscreen for multiplayer games oldskool style, Im tired tho, Nintendo is listening, its all about DOING at this point.
@sdcazares1980 hell you dont even have to fight the boss at the end of Mission 2, just climb back down the ladders for a cheap win, lol, also, I can max my level on mission 1, just gotta keep from knocking down the last girl at the end and space out your attacks once she grabs her stomach, then before time runs out kill her or die and repeat
@baba_944 That game was an abortion to videogames and the beginning of terrible Sonic Games with Sonic 06 being the Worst Sonic game EVER! I like generations and colors a lot though
@akaDv8R total global sales of the 3ds is over 40 million now, but honestly that is mostly because of all the second party and first party games from Nintendo, hardly any 3rd party games sold well, RE revelations did (Best RE game since 4), can't think of many others though.
@zionich considering the extremely low amount of online multiplayer games on the Wii U any game that offers it is welcome (Stares at 3d World with disdain)
@CanisWolfred Indeed, I played this game so many times on my genesis (no megadrive for me) and I loved it, so much more action packed than the older games and the game got better once you learned what you could really pull off with skill, I truly want more games like this one, Mark of Ninja comes to mind,
@timp29 yeah the first one was, I managed to beat it once, then tried again with the game genie with invincibility and got permanently stuff on that level with the gap and the water running in between, so I said fudge it, BUT then the arcade game came out(which is what this is designed after), was still hard but totally fun, and I beat it repeatedly, even with my brother. Sooooo many memories of the turtles that I want this immediately.
@GN004Nadleeh I brought one for me and one for my kids, both deluxe when they were still 350, brought 10 games and a handful of indies and vc titles, I've done my job Nintendo, now effing do YOURS!
@theadrock13 well youporn works very well with it as well as any other html5 video streaming, including anime and movies. Sometimes the lady and I watch flicks together, and the Wii U has been perfect for us in that area. Sure Nintendo would NEVER market to adults in that fashion but it is really great for those who can gain use from it.
@SpellOvInferno I can almost guarantee that you won't see anything remotely as good for at least 6 months, club Nintendo of America is just lame that way.... Pre-ordered mine, just wish I didn't forget to register my low coins so much, i probably have left of 300 coins to waste
@gatorboi352 I have a small hatred towards the Miiverse for the same reason, I don't see this kind of blockage on any other gaming platform. I watch freaking porn on my Wii U with my wife and I can't even send her an adult message (living apart). Can't curse, can't just say that something sucks and sometimes even legitimate posts get banned, WHERE IS MY ADULT COMMUNITY NINTENDO!? WHERE IS UNIVERSAL VOICE/VIDEO CHAT? THE GAMEPAD HAS A BUILT IN MIC AND CAMERA, EFFING USE IT! Instead the only time it's used in game is for blowing in 3d world...... I know what really blows.... Rant over.
@ULTRA-64 how about the NESU Nintendo Entertainment System ULTRA, that way they give the U some real meaning, and make two designs, one that looks like the Famicom amd one like the Nes, eventually roll out a true zelda design that is actually gold and embroidered and a Snes design around the time of its anniversary.... You're Welcome Nintendo!
This is the Ninja game that set the standard for all 2D action games, it got everything right, the music, the graphics, the varied level design, the fast paced combat, something missing from all previous entries, I only wish this game got a TRUE sequel with all of the combat elements in place but upgraded with more fluidity and grace, that shinobi 3ds refake was terrible. Even though I already own this I will buy this immediately, its just that dam good.
@Hernandez Step it up is right, WHERE IS THE ADVERTISING! I see some ads now, but they are short and OVERLY kid friendly, I see multiplat games being shown in HardCore detail for the Sony and MS but NONE for the Wii U, its pathetic, but necessary for Nintendo to grow, you dont fight when there isnt a challenge, and the MUST fight back hard if they want the Wii U to survive, its time to LISTEN TO THE FANS NINTENDO!!! @jrob23 GTA 5, bioshock infinite, battlefield 4 (i love the online multi-player) just to name a few, and yes i can get them on a pc (except gta) but that's not my point. @Peach64 I actually want mario to succeed but the Wii U to continue to struggle, here me out, If this system tanks then Nintendo will have to finally make a new morre competitive system and hopefully make a fully integrated online system like xbox live and get some new blood in marketing, or the company in general, I love my Wii U, but I can't help but feel left out of some great games while paying inflated prices for gimped 3rd party games, and I blame Nintendo for being stuck in the past, sure there current games are fantastic, but they also need to reach the modern day gamer to boost sales and support
@Senario I still think that rts games could work very well with the right control scheme, capacitive touch definitely feels better when applied properly
I can see games like League of legend's making tons of money for Nintendo as the gamepad would make them a breeze to play. RTS games and most old-school styed jrpgs would greatly benefit from this. Too bad it will never happen, Nintendo doesn't reach out to these kind of developers and I honestly believe its because they don't want that level of competition on their systems, so they reach out to smaller indie communities instead.
I'm about to start making my own hip hop remixes soon, i have heard dj cutman before, and this was just lame, trust when I say that I will do this new classic much more Justice
Lol, being passionate about what we like/love is what spurs creativity and innovation, this can apply to anything, but music is especially effective in conveying this, as a fellow music lover and former musician I can relate. @MadAussieBloke wow, don't know how i missed this one, but I was a poor kid who got the sega in 94, I choose it over the snes, looking back that was a bad decision as i was one of the few in my hood with one so I missed out on a lot, I will be getting this now, thx aussie
@Spoony_Tech same age and my two boys are a year older than your kids in age, sure society has turned them onto zombies and shooting but i dont allow them to play those types of games. The moment I show them a new Nintendo game, sonic and rayman included they get super excited and beg me to play with them, I even let them play the old nes, snes/Genesis and n64 games and they love them, soon we will play Super Mario 3d World together and game until they go to bed... This kind of gaming bond through generations is something special that only Nintendo has been able to provide and it's why I've been supporting them since i was 4, ill be 30 in two months with also marks my zelda anniversary, I plan to get the zelda 3DSXL bundle by then.
@SomeBitTripFan I agree with everything you said, which still leaves issues to be dealt with, this does look like a quality product, one that I really want to play, but I also don't want to support games that copy established titles this heavily. The video sums up the experience i would have with this game, which means that I will constantly compare and contrast it while playing and every time I disagree with something it would remove enjoyment from playing it. Its a mental thing that most ppl do all the time without noticing it, something that I hate doing while playing games. No matter the level of polish, if a game doesn't stand out with some form of original style, gameplay or story then it will suffer overall and there's plenty of examples. Shinin (Nanostray) just made jett Rocket 2, and while it looks great and has tight controls, it feels like a Mario 3d land wannabe, it's also pretty bland overall and lacks charm, but at least it has some things that obviously set it apart from Similar platformers. even Nintendo adds new elements and gameplay styles to its franchises, normally making them successful and fun, unlike any dynasty warrior game since 4, just more enemies and subtle changes while remaining the same damn game since forever, completely undesirable. Im still wondering who is buying these games. Also, the App market has tons of original and fun games with different styles of play, but they are also more complex and cost more than a buck. Sword and Sorcery bros, a few adult swim games, Infinity blade to an extent, and many more that don't catch fire Even though they excel. But given that I am a a sucker for Zelda and the reviews this is getting I will probably give OceanHorn a try, as a true gamer i pretty much have to give a game a chance if i think it may be rewarding.
@SomeBitTripFan Yes, Nintendo has had their own share of ripped off games and strongarm tactics, they recently lost a suit on the 3DS screen technology, which I feel they are wrong for doing, which is my main point, it's wrong to take some one elses ideas or work and profit from it without consent. Sure they put a lot of work into this game, but it seems like what they did was make the most conveniently successful action adventure series and put a new coat of paint on it while making only a few minor changes to it, sure it may still be a good game of its own, but it is essentially a carbon copy that doesn't move the genre forward. Good effort i guess...
@Marshi you must be new to NL if you havent seen the MULTPLE blogs and posts about WII U marketing, its anemic, but I am finnally seeing some adverts for Super Mario 3d World and Mario and Sonic at the Olympics for Wii U, unfortunately the commercials make both games look boring and way too kid centric, so much so that my own 5 and 7 year old boys think the games are lame already.....fail Nintendo..just fail, still gonna get SM3DW Though.
@rjejr SILENCE! you immediately invalidated your arguement when you said that you never played WW yet, this is an OBVIOUS rip off to ANYONE who has played WW. So when you DO finally play WW, you will likely change your tune, until then STFU!
@Peach64 True, but at least the Mighty No 9 was created by the same guy that created Megaman, Keji Infune (spelled wrong...i know) Its ok to copy your OWN creation, but ripping off someone elses hard work and devotion is different. He wasn't allowed to take the blue bomber with him when he left and now Crapcom is in deep financial sh*!. I bet they WISH they would have made Megaman Legends 3 online....
@bouncer0304 So pretty much all they need to do is Put clips from Nintendo direct in with their youtube commercials, GIVE THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA WAYNE BRADY...WE LOVE HIM! Also, why dont they SHOW the gameplay differences like they did with the Wii? Show them how the gamepad is used during game play in several snippets and finish it with Mom and Dad taking over the tv and then the off tv play feature. "Timmy go to bed" "Ok dad" "Night son" "good night dad" dad turns off the lights and then timmy pulls his covers over his head and proceeds to play the game under the bed sheets, IS THAT SO HARD TO DO NINTENDO?
@Longaway Great Idea, Im sure the NOA marketing team wanted to do that, but Nintendo themselves have been cheap barstewards and slow to release games so I believe they are just waiting for a decent line up of first party games to become available, saving money until after the Xbone and PS4 consoles arrive and they slow their advertising, yea I know it sounds dumb and a wasted opportunity, but its modern Nintendo logic, they want to be so different (and cost efficient) that they are continually isolating themselves to a shrinking Island of fans, I for one will stay until the end being a life long fan, but I dont like this situation at all....
MM reboot should be next year with a limited edition version of the game including a wearable abs plastic replica mask for a total of $99 max. it should release in October, ya know for Halloween
@rjejr I would PREFER that Google do a qualtiy test on the apps it allows, it would cut down on potential lawsuits and spyware/adware/viruses, something that has become far too common on google play.
I am still extremely confused about this decision and the obsessive desire from nintendo to block all content which could be adult or not kid friendly, I have family members who have both PS3s and 360s, no matter what happens online (little kids cursing each other out or sending offensive messages) some how those services have remained intact,if i want to curse about a game or situation to one of my friends then its ok, but Miiverse has blocked messages of mine that were in no way wrong, disrespectful or harmful, and even when i tried to explain that OMG isnt a offensive term or phrase my posts still remained blocked and I remained flagged. My point is that nintendo NEEDS to create an adult community so that those of us who actually enjoy our freedom of speech can voice ourselves without mom and dad punishing us, this swapnote spotpass issue is an example of how Nintendo is sorely mismanaged and showing its age.
