Review 3D Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master (3DS eShop)
Much more than an Average Joe
In many ways, Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master represents Sega at its very best. It boasts lush visuals, excellent music and a surprisingly versatile lead character, all wrapped up in a game which practically screams action and excitement. Launched at a time when the Mega Drive was really beginning to hit its...

Sega's classic arcade game Shinobi wowed ninja fans back in 1987; with its addictive fast-paced action and great atmosphere it was only a matter of time before it got ported to pretty much every home format under the sun - including the NES and the Master System. The Revenge of Shinobi was released early...

We've been aware of the 3D range of retro remakes from SEGA for a good while, splashing the cash on our Japanese unit while waiting for their eventual localisation. Best ninja game ever.
One of my alltime favourite platform hack and slashers. Very awesome game, and judging by the standarts of the other §D classics titles from SEGA, were in for a real treat.
Would prefer the Arcade Original from Shinobi & the Arcade Shadow Dancer, but heck... dont we love those Shinobi games at all ? ( exept. Cyber Shinobi )
This is the Ninja game that set the standard for all 2D action games, it got everything right, the music, the graphics, the varied level design, the fast paced combat, something missing from all previous entries, I only wish this game got a TRUE sequel with all of the combat elements in place but upgraded with more fluidity and grace, that shinobi 3ds refake was terrible. Even though I already own this I will buy this immediately, its just that dam good.
Best ninja game ever.
I love this game so much. This version is my first retro Shinobi experience, my first Shinobi was on PS2.
