@ikki5 wow, I just realized i have that many coins, i wouldve got the hanafuda cards if I didnt already get the extremely awesome Silver and clear mario playing cards as my platinum gift last year, oh well, time to go buy some 50 buck statues of link and samus, they are poseable and completely worth it.

even in a parody we still dont see F-Zero, Starfox (Fox McCloud) or Metroid, but the sequels have racing segments, maybe then...other than that this was the best nintendo mashup with spot on character mash ups, still think that mario should have been fox though

@Ren but to do that nintendo would have to give up 30% of its mobile profits to apple or android and that just aint happening, seriously, but a nintendo made tablet in a partner ship? Instant buy for me. or they could make a free app and charge in house prices for games, that could work...

I call BATMAN, the Official game, I could write TWO novels on that one....yes indeed, I WANT IN! I have never done anything like this but Im really inspired! it will be an easy read with a serious overtone, but due to my inexperience it will probably sound like a cheesy action movie at times.

@ACK you just mentioned the Guardian Legend, That game....so loving epic and hard as poopsiedoodoocacapoopiedoodles, never did beat it, add the fact that I immediately thought about that as a part of the anthology, you are my retro gaming brother for life....

and to REALLY make a cash grab game, how about Nintendo Universe (emphasis on the U) and design it like Skylanders/Disney Infinity, I would be sold so fast if it combines the game play element of its star franchises( Mario, Metroid, and Zelda for starter pack) include some popular side characters, online multiplayer and a fight mode that plays like Super Smash bros.....INSTANT SUCCESS!! Even I would go broke getting those Zelda figurines...YOUR WELCOME NINTENDO, I JUST MADE you a TON of cash TWICE!!!

@Einherjar quick cash in you say? how about a HD re-release of the last 2 pokemon games in 3d form like the new one, with miiverse pokemon swapping and a online stadium mode with quarterly Nintendo Hosted tournaments for real prizes (like mega rare legendary pokemon and/or real world badges to move to higher tournaments), how amazing would THAT sell? The fans are waiting Nintendo....

@CaviarMeths Nintendo actually already knows how to market, just go and look at all of the Nintendo commercials of the 90s, then look at the marketing for the GBA/DS, the problem here.....is that Nintendo is cheap, cheap as f@*! since the old president stepped down ages ago, the lowered their marketing and failed to even remotely promote 3rd party games, this was the Gamecube/Wii era, (even though the few Wii commercials they made were pretty damn good and very memorable) "Wii would like to play" Needs to come back and for please nintendo, make realistic and or funny commercials again, eveyone HATES those generic smiling families playing random games.

@Worthy that depends on your definintion of "took off" I believe that after Mario Kart 7 combined with Super Mario 3d Land that it officially began its flight, then a few months later it had RE Revelations and the Surprise hit Kid Icarus (seriously, the funnest handheld game I have EVER played, flaws aside) The Wii U needs this level of high end first party (occasional third party) sales on a monthly basis, which I think Nintendo is already gearing up for starting Nov with SMB3dW then Wii fit U, february DK TS, april Mario Kart 8, June/July I assume will be third party months (possibly X or bayonetta 2) with Super Smash bros 4 saved for the holidays of next year, not to mention random unannounced titles that Nintendo always likes to surprise us with, this time next year will be the true deciding factor for the Wii U.

@Nintenjoe64 Street Fighter 2 was NOT a Nintendo exclusive, maybe at first, but not for long, and it seems like you missed out on some extremely great games if Sonic CD and that other game i never heard of are your best memories of the Genesis/Megadrive.......

no, they are the same, just adapted to a bigger screen, no extra frills or levels for the HD IOS phoenix wright games, btw, the new phoenix wright game is amazing, so good looking, the new 3d character designs and environments are fantastic

@rjejr Angry Kirby.....sounds awesome, but I prefer HUNGRY Kirby, lanch kirby at enemies, suck them up, then use their powers to relaunch and attack structures or spit them out for one mega attack, suck up food for health regen/bonus points, battle bosses a la kirby canvas curse style with some tweaks...yup, NINTENDO i just gave you a free game idea, now MAKE IT HAPPEN!

@boynerdrambling Lol, same thing I thought, also it seems that Ubisoft hasnt learned their lesson yet, as Watchdogs is done, but because of the PS4 and Xbone verisons the game is delayed....but maybe this is good as they cant compete with all of the other games coming out right now.

@Sekuiya same issue that capcom had in Resident Evil Mercenaries, They didnt expand the file size enough to accommodate high end graphics, which is why they doubled the memory of the game card for revelations, which is still the best looking 3ds game so far. Also a patch was just released for X&Y which may alleviate some of your issues.

@Everyone reading - As a Father in the US Military who sticks by Nintendo, its quite sad that there are few Nintendo games to play online with my kids, I spend so much time away from my boys that I get mad at the fact that the only interation I have with them is online video chat, I dont let them play adult games online so that rules out most Sony any Microsoft games. To have online multiplayer in this game would boost sales and if Nintendo added the gamepad for camera/chat functionality (thus solving the whole seeing who you play with excuse) then it would be a must buy for me, I still plan to purchase it for myself and my kids, but not being able to enjoy it with them most of the time is a definite blow to our relationship as they always ask me when will we play together....Nintendo just doesnt want to foot the bill for the servers for the online modes, which is why they should make an option pay for online play so we can get more online games. I can guarrantee that Mario Kart Wii wouldnt be nearly as successful if it was local play only.

@Peach64 looks like you will finally be able to make use of that avatar, I STILL want online multiplayer so i can game with my family (US Soldier) but I guess mario kart 8 and super smash bros 4 will fill that void....

@Nintenjoe64 Dungeons and Dragons wipes its donkey with this game, even though this is still fun, its definetly not on par with Streets of Rage 2 (dat music...) and definitely not Streets of Rage 3, D&D is a technical marvel to me, the characters are so diverse, know Im going to play some Dragons Crown, its so baddonkey and beautiful....

@Jellitoe go sit in a corner, you're crazy if you dont like the minish cap and claim to be a fan of zelda, then again, maybe you are just a younger gamer and only care for the 3D Zelda titles. This is meant to be a indirect sequel to the SNES Zelda, it will appeal to fans of the original (like me) and bring in new players to the classic style of Zelda games (like my kids) BTW anyone think the new bad guy/girl favors a combo of Vaati, Ghirahim and Ganondork?

I only wish my other Kickstarter game made it to the Wii U/3DS, River City Ransom Underground, but this is fantasic news seeing how far behind this was at the time of announcement, it seems that all games that include a Wii U stretch goal early enough seem to make it. Looking forward to seeing my name in the credits

@Blue_Yoshi ok im a day one 3ds owner and i have to stop this false news, OOT 3d didnt NOT turn the 3ds around, it was just a temporary jump, however, the $70 price drop and Mario Land 3d / Mario Kart 7 began the real tunaround point as Nintendo kept pumping out hits every month or every other month, just some phenomenal games, ALL of them better than what i expected. The Wii U needs this same love and it seems that is what Nintendo is doing, price drop, major mario release, then steady stream of first party games (which is the real reason DKCR 2 was pushed to february) on another note..why isnt nintendo putting GBA games on the 3ds but on the Wii U instead? major confusion and a miss on me buying them. GLAD i got those ambassador games.

@Samurai_Goroh you think that 6gb of ram is a lot for a pc, or gaming laptop? I have a 2010 gaming laptop and its the low end version and it STILL has 6gb of ram. LOL!

Hmm, looking at the car bowser is driving, how awesome would it be if he teamed up with Wario to take out mario and luigi? that metal/pimp ride is definitely an upgrade of warios caddy.

besides a new IP, what else could nintendo do with mario that hasnt already been done? make a fighter..no...golf...no...tennis...no...space...no...rpg...no....I know!! Mario blast! a COD mario based game, yeah thats lame, but I bet a mario meets metroid prime could still be fun.....or maybe a mario GTA, it could work......lol

@MadAussieBloke besides the 3d Feature which should be better, what else is a gimmick about the 3DS? the fact that the games are more numerous and far superior gameplay wise to any other handheld device? that includes my vita and mobile games.

@Genesaur Um...I can tell you about a thousand reasons why these two show are deservedly popular, they have a really weird charm about them and humor that easily satisfies adults and kids alike, if you go to youtube you can go to cartoon hangover and see the other webshows that the adventure time creators have made, they are excellent BTW and highly imaginative. Plus most of the kids i know (and I know tons of em) love these shows, including my boys.

@JebbyDeringer So basically, Nintendo should make the next Zelda a HD 3dimensional version inspired by Zelda 2, despite the haters I loved that game, and i think link needs to be more of a powerhouse, add some combos and additional abilities, the parkour system in SS was awesome, i wanna see that fleshed out more, and a level up system sounds fantasic, add some weight add heft to weapons and fights

@Hyperstar96 they really aren't as of yet, steam is a distributor, not a console and only recieves a small percentage of the sales of software sold, they are also extremely slow at releasing ANYTHING, im still wondering about half life 3, its been over 10 years, also take into account that games are sold for a much lower price and that sales figures MUST high to turn a real profit, and this is coming from a guy who loves steam and Nintendo

@DreMurf313 ain't it funny how he gave zero credit the 3DS or nintendo handhelds in general? I have a 2 boys 5 and 7 yrs old,
i have a ipod and ipad 3 and a Kindle fire hd and pretty much all game systems including a gaming pc, guess what my boys ask to play the most? At home its the Wii U and on the road its a fight over my 3ds, i cant wait to buy them both 2ds systems, that was a great move on nintendos part cause they can't take care of clamshell handhelds

@Red302 the I freaking loved sticker star just like super paper mario, if you go into new games in a series with an open mind and no base them soley on past titles you can really enjoy yourself, if sticker start was a kirby based rpg or a new ip then w bet ppl would see it differently, just like zelda 2
