Re: Talking Point: Marketing Wii U to the Masses

BlackStar9000

@Gioku really? I thought of a ton of ideas after years of the ds experience, its speakers could wisper secret information in while sneaking around, picking locks, or a game that combines a sidesrolling game on the pad while you protect or provide support on the big screen simultaneously which is in 3rd person, this could be done either coop or single player, then a shared first person mode for shooting, searching or linking targets from different angles.... Yea I think that sounds amazing, I need an indie developer to hear my idea..

Re: Aonuma Explains His Quest to Have Improved the "Overall Game Flow" of The Wind Waker HD

BlackStar9000

@NImH finally, since I have been playing since I was 4,I grew up on zelda, I love the old and new, say that MM is the most interesting, but I love SS the most for actually changing gameplay elements, swordplay was fantastic, but I miss the multi lock boomerang of WW, the dark tone of TP, and mounted combat really needs to be fleshed out more, the flying in SS felt like two steps back, but the story was the best, so much personality, especially for zelda, giving link a voice is still a bad idea tho

Re: Ubisoft - Splinter Cell: Blacklist A "Great Fit" For Wii U

BlackStar9000

@turnmebackwards But Zombi U sucks so thats a bad example, its funnyn how when they made the first Red Steel on the Wii at launch it didnt sell well either and was another crappy launch title, but instead of "pulling" support they admitted they did a bad job and rectified it by making Red Steel 2, a real good and fun game that made the most use of the Motion controls at the time. It still didnt sell well due to lack of advertising and the Stigma from the first game but since the Wii had such a huge install base they didnt complain. Its all about sales and money ppl, thats why Ubisoft pushes multiplat so hard.

Re: Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Helped Miyamoto Bond With His Daughter

BlackStar9000

my boys love watching me play Punch out on the Wii, They cheered me on to beat the game, and got mad at me for getting owned the second time around (its REALLYY HARD!), Been about a year since i played it with them and they just recently brought it back up again after seeing the original punch out game. Only Nintendo brings families together like this. NOW GIVE ME ONLINE MULTIPLAYER SO WHEN IM AWAY I CAN GAME WITH MY KIDS NINTENDO!!!!!

Re: Miyamoto: Fresh Experiences Make A New Game, Not New Characters

BlackStar9000

@MAN1AC I think a good solution to this problem is to introduce new characters within exhisting francise games, Wario is a great example, he was the last bad guy in Super Mario Land 2 and that enable Nintendo to take a different approach and launch a series of new games based on Wario. Even the new Kid Icarus, thats a New IP in my eyes since its literally the 3rd game ever made with him with the last one being on the gameboy. He had a voice, a personality and all new gameplay COMPETELY different and exciting, Luigis Mansion is better than any other ghostbusting game only in its second installment. Nintendo knows how to flip its exhisting franchises and characters and make something new and fresh and I dont want a new IP crammed down my throat just because ppl want it, BTW The Wonderful 101 is looking great, Most likely a new IP for Nintendo.

Re: Investor Approval Rating For Satoru Iwata Drops To 77.26 Precent

BlackStar9000

Hmm, Im first? well then, Mr Iwata is sorely out of touch with modern gamers which is why he came west to learn more about the market, hopefully he does, the Online component of Nintendo is lacking and their failure to transition over to HD with AAA titles at the ready is hurting them so much that they have lost a decent amount of their fanbase. Not me, but Ive seen too many ppl who still dont even know what a Wii U is, that is an EPIC failure, stop being so damn cheap Nintendo, and the next console you make needs to be able to compete in the power department as well. Still luv ya.

Re: Review: Shantae: Risky's Revenge (DSiWare)

BlackStar9000

wait, i played the game to completion and collected everything, the game is fun, but there is a certain level of finesse and substance that is lacking, its hard to describe but as a guy whos played almost every important platforming game made since the 80s this game still gives me the "test mode" vibe, I'd say an 8.5, its not mind blowing, Revenge of Shinobi III is still leagues better, strange comparison I know but thats just my opinion

Re: First Impressions: Wii Party U

BlackStar9000

@Sceptic Then Nintendo is doing a poopydoodle job of the whole famliy friendly game experiences right now cause my kids would rather play Mario Kart Wii and Wii Sports resort than anything they have right now on the Wii U, also since we dont live together we would LOVE TO PLAY ONLINE NINTENDO. DAMMINT!

Re: Impressions: Multiplayer is a Big Deal in Nintendo's Wii U Lineup

BlackStar9000

@urandomsam, the army isnt anything like what you see in those games except when you are actually engadged in combat, Im not a Infantryman and combat is still rare nowdays for them too. I want to play NINTENDO games online (Super Mario 3D World) with my kids while Im here in Korea, Nintendoland would have been great for us, but alas, Nintendo keeps its head up its own burro and says NO to online because they dont think about people like me who can ONLY connect with family online.....sadness. Also, Im willing to pay to play online if Nintendo needs it cause I know that free online gaming is expensive so since $20 - $50 a year is reasonable especially if they take the Sony route and give online members Huge discounts, free games and an ACTUAL online community with full chat functionality, the gamepad would be my cam while I play with my kids and family, Why are they NOT doing this?

Re: Indie Developer Explains How Nintendo Made Him a Wii U Believer

BlackStar9000

Out of all of the negative press, I remembered his past comment about it being a $400 xbox all too well. To see him flip sides further confirms my opinion that most of the hate on this system is because of blind ignorance derived from following the internet herd, corporate talk and just never actually spending any real time playing the system, I still imaging how great RTS games and MMORPGS like League of Legends would be on Wii U.

Re: Review: Project X Zone (3DS)

BlackStar9000

READ THIS FOR GOOD INFO!!!! for anyone who has played the Valkyrie Chronicles only the Playstation/PSP (and the one on the DS) The game play is really similar, just much prettier and harder to judge what attack to use and when to tag in you backup team. I love that kind of gameplay, but it does make you want to have more direct control at times.

Re: Hands On: The Wonderful 101

BlackStar9000

NINTENDO, you have realized your mistakes now fix two of them, that means START MARKETING AGAIN, HARD!! Also, I look forward to playing multiplayer ONLINE not just locally, seriously dammit, get with the program. My Gampad is ready...for this title.

Re: The Story of an Abandoned Mega Man FPS, Maverick Hunter, Emerges

BlackStar9000

@Guybrush20X6 So i have to really thank Nintendo for getting Megaman into Super Smash Bros, the classic nes verison that just makes me smile, and I hope those songs played for him (Megaman 2 Intro, Megaman 2 Wilys 1st Stage) are full renditions that will be in the game, they timed those song cues perfectly and they just made the video awesome. I can guarantee that people who never played his games will after they play with him, so eshop sales for Megaman games will go up and MAYBE Capcom will do him some justice in a new game, I would love for Nintendo to publish a Megaman game again...
