I'm going to be realistic here: It's something that has to do with a smart device being in conjunction with the Switch.

I'm not going to expect anything big this time. It's going to be a waste of time and health if I think about it too much.

I think it would be a peripheral which will be accessible to both children and adults, and showcases another way to play the Switch.

I'm not expecting another direct this month anytime soon. I'll probably eat my words later, but I'll not take them back.

Some people are missing these points:

1- It's a mini direct, which means that big announcements are saved for later (Maybe at E3).

2- Nintendo so far ported only the best of the Wii U games to the Switch. Last year we got Pokken Tournament, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (though it also counts as a new game since it's released the same day as the Wii U version). This year we'll be getting Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze so far.

3- Nintendo wants to make sure that there's no software drought during the year. This plan worked very well last year, so they're doing the same.

4- Bonus: You get Switch exclusive features when playing these games.

I have to say, this is pretty pointless since most of the action happens outside of the screen, unless you want to eat the sandwiches.

@GaymerGuy5 I played all Mario Party games for the system, Metroid Prime both games, SSBM, Super Mario Sunshine, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2. Pretty much almost every people's choice games.

@brutalpanda It's not that. It's just people make some assumption that a 16 years old game like smash bros. melee, which most of the people have, would appear as well. I think that they praised the game too much already.

@Bustacap To make it better, Nintendo needs feedbacks from the Switch owners in order to make this feature available across the rest of the game.

Plus, Sony started this with 15 recording similar to the Switch right now. Nintendo is field testing this feature, and if it receives positive feedbacks, then we may see beyond video capturing

Strange. Usually, when you buy a bundle, you save some money. But this bundle doesn't save money at all:
1- Switch console ($300)
2- Splatoon 2: ($60)
3- Carrying Case: ($10-15)

@MegaVel91 They keyword that you mentioned is "Optimization". I didn't say that it should have the same graphics as the other version. As long as it's 60FPS or even 30FPS, at least the game should run pretty well on Switch, with moderate change in graphics quality.

@MegaVel91 The game runs on UE4, right? If so, then I don't see any difficulty in porting this game to Switch, since it also supports UE4.

It will be a missed opportunity if it doesn't come to Switch. Besides, how difficult is it to get it running on Switch?

Vector Unit has a good reputation in making racing games like Riptide and Shine Runner. We have to wait and see if there is a difference between mobile and console (handheld) version.
