Helix looks to be fun and I buy it. Problem is I'd have to buy batteries for my second Wii-Mote.

Sure, there's no Mario RPG, but who was realistically expecting that? This is a great week! We get two brilliant games. Shodown 2 got 5/5 and I assume Ys will get the same. I'll be getting Ys ASAP.

I don't think online is really needed in a game like this,battledevil. Lack of online=Bad Game?

Perhaps there's other modes or something else? If there isn't, it'll probably be a pretty limited and pricey title. But hey, there's always hope(except for when there isn't >.<).

In my opinion, most of those games are average-great, with the one exception being Spelunker. I feel sorry Europe got Spelunker.

SplatterHourse 2 is on the VC and it's rated M. Nothing to prevent kids from downloading it. The Wii has built-in parental controls(which can prevent using Wii Points or visiting the Shop Channel altogether), so parents could stop their kids from downloading E rated titles through the same method. As long as there are no really graphic images in the description, nothing bad will happen.

As for the game itself, it doesn't sound like my kind of thing, but I hope it does well anyway.

WarioFan has a point. Besides,isn't it only representative of that particular week, not overall sales? But still, I wish Toki Tori would get more recognition.

I'd get it right away--if I hadn't just removed Steam last week. Oh well, I'll be playing the WiiWare version anyway so I'll wait on it.

Yeah, I know what SuperMario means. I'm not big on Castlevania either. Though my uncle might make me buy it if it were to come out. >_<

I don't really know about this. My sister might like it though if it's got building/decorating things...

Well, My Aquarium was rated on the basis that it is not a game. Strong Bad was rated as a game. You can't really say either is better than the other because they're completely different.

Strong Bad is good for Europe. I wonder how My Aquarium will turn out?

Not sure how VC-R/WW-W gets their info, but press.nintendo.com updates what games are appearing on Mondays. All 3 of these games are listed, as well as press info for each game. It's an official site run by NOA so it's expected to be accurate(and having used the site every Monday, it's always correct).

Nope, you don't need a Wii Zapper. Though I'm guessing a Wii Zapper would make things more enjoyable if you had one. It's all your choice.
In fact, the Wii Zapper is just a piece of plastic that holds the Wii Remote and nunchuk, it doesn't do anything new.

Well, I'm completely stunned...Ys 1&2 is an instant buy and I'll consider Samurai Shodown(doesn't seem like my kind of thing). Brilliant week. =D

Yeah, I agree with Super Mario. Toki Tori is under appreciated. I hope it somehow manages to cling in the top 20 for a while, but sadly it almost certainly won't.

I''m happy about Defend Your Castle though. It wasn't really my thing, but it's affordable and fun(just not a whole lot for me ). #3 for a non-Nintendo game is great.

Last I checked, Hudson doesn't announce SNES games for Nintendo when they're talking about TG16/PCE games. Still, KD3 should come eventually...

Looks like a pretty good month,. If Mega Man comes too, this will be one of the better months of '08 for North America in my opinion.

Wait, I just noticed "Stanley the Bugman, who never made an appearance in another game since" in the article. I'm guessing you meant as a playable character, right? He has made at least three other appearances: The G&W version, which is quite different, and in Super Smash Bros. Melee as a trophy. His game appears as a mini-game in Wario Ware Touched as well. I think there was one more...

Hmmm...Major League Eating once looked like just shovelware to me, but as the article says, the fact that they'd add any form of online means it might be better. Guess I'll just wait for the review.

I just got Game & Watch Gallery 4, so I'm getting back into this stuff. Perhaps I'll get it just to see the differences between the G&W version...

This is a pretty good week for Europe in my opinion. Pop is pure arcade fun, and Pokemon Ranch is a great storage tool. Enjoy.

Yup, I saw an article on Serebii that said pretty much the same thing. This will be good for those that need extra storage space or want the elusive Mew.

I'd get Eggy and Fire Emblem:Thracia 776 in a heartbeat if I were in Japan. I've heard Eggy is like Toki Tori, and I just love Fire Emblem. Too bad they'd have to translate FE so likely none will make it to Europe or America.>_>

I wish Nintendo of America followed this pattern to be honest. We'd get more games than we get in two weeks(sometimes three)! Or maybe put them on different days of the week so there's more than one Wii Shop Channel update a week...?

That was stated, but by Dazza. Not really the article itself. Sounds like an assumption to me rather than confirmation.

Maybe I read too quickly or something,but I saw nothing stating that this was for WiiWare. Perhaps they have no relation and would just go in a new category of their own. There are three others.

I think Rexy deserves to have her points posted, but just not here. Isn't this article about the game being rated by the OFLC rather than the game itself? I've got nothing against a debate(in fact, I wouldn't have read the comments unless Rexy posted;her opinion is nice and fresh)but, I think it should go on the game page...Honestly, I didn't find it that great, but it's got nostalgia so I'll end up with it anyway. >_>

Glad to see that this one got rated. Might not be the best RPG, but Nintendo is giving exactly what the fans want by releasing this one.

I've been reviewing games for quite some time, so I'll try to join. =D Only one thing though...Would we get the games given to us or would we have to use our own money? I might be able to afford a game a week, but it would sort of cut some bucks...

FOUR games? And not all "bad ones*?" And Europe gets both the Master System and Commodore 64 while US gets the Master System only? Impossible...Impossible Mission! =P This sure makes up for Yoshi's Cookie only last week. Too bad I'm not in Europe. XD Maybe US will get something good like this?

One thing though...unless we get Gameboy/Gameboy Color/Gameboy Advance games on the Virtual Console, Majora's Mask will be the last Zelda. If it's going to be last, wouldn't we expect Nintendo to hold it out a while? Hmmm...

YES! I'd love to play that too. One of the few Sonic titles I haven't experienced.

I don't know much about the system but Sonic CD is great and that Lunar game looks interesting. I'd like to try out some of these. =)

Er, shouldn't they have added a Master System game since it's a new and all? The Baseball one doesn't seem to interest me. sigh
However, I'm a big Yoshi fan and look forward to getting this title on my Wii. Unfortunately I have 400 Wii Points which means I'll have to go buy more with $10. XD Can the difference between the SNES and NES versions really be significant enough to cost 3 extra dollars? I think it was smart to release the NES one instead.

I can't believe this is true...Too good!*denies it* I wasn't one for the Master System before, but my uncle showed me some games(particularly some Wonder Boy game that's part action and RPG(Monster land or something?))and that got me interested. Plus, those Sonic titles would be good. I'm willing to take risks in games that cost four dollars so perhaps the SMS will be a hit from the price?
