Re: Japanese Charts: Mario And Co. Can't Compete With The Nation's Monster Hunter Obsession

AndreaF96

Somebody accused Anti-Matter of being immature. I think exploiting the fact that he doesn't understand sarcasm in english is not really mature either.

What he said is actually really true. How many of you did buy a game that received very positive reviews even though you deep down knew it wasn't actually for you and then ended up regretting buying tha game? I knew It happend to me.

@Trajan so you believe that people should only post good things about games in comment sections?

Re: Japanese Charts: Mario And Co. Can't Compete With The Nation's Monster Hunter Obsession

Guys stop the @Anti-Matter hate. This is a comment section for everybody to give their opinions. You shouldn't tell him not to express his opinions just because you do not agree with them. Even if nobody agrees with him I think that his opinions should not be dismissed as stupid or immature just because they come from a guy with a pokemon profile picture that is not very good at writing english (since English is not his language).
I don't think he meant that all mainstream games are trash. He just said that he doesn't like this particular game and that hidden gems amuse him more than something like MH ever could.
I greatly prefer kyle hyde games or solatorobo to many switch and ps4 AAA games so I partially agree with him. And I believe that many of the people that read this comment have some if not many such "hidden gems" that they remember fondly.

I don't want to be anyone's lawyer so I'll stop here.

Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed For Tomorrow, 4th September

I would really love, in no particular order.
Persona 5 (yes, I know it's more than unlikely).
Kingdom hearts 2.8, kh3.
Third kyle hyde game (sequel of hotel dusk and last window).
Solatorobo sequel.
Mario odyssey 2/ mario odyssey dlc kingdoms.
Botw 2 releases in 2020.
Pokemon swsh dlc that adds the pokemon left out (not gonna happen, so I'm not gonna buy the game).
More about professor layton.
More about digimon (maybe I'll buy that instead of pokemon this time).
The other ace attorney games ported/new ace attorney.
Mario galaxy 1&2 remastered/mario galaxy 3.
Zelda wind waker/twilight princess/skyward sword remastered.
Splatoon 3.
Dragonball kakaroth port.
new pokemon mystery dungeon (if it is in the style of the nds games).
New pokemon ranger game.

Re: Cooking Mama For Switch Will Feature A Vegetarian Mode And Blockchain Tech

AndreaF96

@Timppis I'm not so sure about that. That is most certainly not true for the us and I believe it is not even true for Italy(which is where I live). Livestock usually use local crops because of costs I think. I may have to ask a friend of a friend of mine, which works in that field, to be sure though. Anyway that was what a scientific article I read a couple of years ago stated.

Re: Cooking Mama For Switch Will Feature A Vegetarian Mode And Blockchain Tech

AndreaF96

@Timppis actually there are scientific articles pointing out the fact that it's not just meat consumption. Vegetables and fruit that are imported from the other side of the world are hurting as much as meat consumption because they rellease the same amount of greenhouse gasses. We should limit (and not necessarily erase) our meat consumption and try as much as we can to only eat seasonal fruit and vegetables. The problem is more complicated than "one thing is good and the other thing is bad".

Re: Feature: Best Nintendo DS Games

Somebody's gotta vote "last window the secret of cape west", the sequel of hotel dusk. it currently has a mean rate of 9 with just 47 votes. I think 50 is the minimum to appear in the list?

Re: Junichi Masuda Releases Official Statement About Limiting Sword And Shield's Pokédex

AndreaF96

@Galenmereth the fact that new pokemon need to be animated has nothing to do with the lack of old pokemon. If you think about it you will understand. Even if you'r right about some of the new moves requiring new animations for old pokemon, do you really think that it would have made such a big difference? Pokemon animations are just a small portion of the amount of work that went into these games. And new pokemon probably need many more animations than old ones. Moreover, they will include a bunch of old ones. Now think, does not needing to animate a couple of the moves for the pokemon that were left out really cut costs in a significant way? It seems like saving 10€ when you are buying a new car. Furthermore, pokemon is the biggest franchise of all time, do you really think that they couldn't affoard a couple more people?

Re: Junichi Masuda Releases Official Statement About Limiting Sword And Shield's Pokédex

AndreaF96

@WoolooSweater because the first console pokemon main series game will be the first to lack national pokedex? Because people won't be able to import their pokemon from older games? Because the lack of the national dex means that you won't be able to import the missing pokemon to sw/sh even from future games (unless they release a dlc national dex). Most importantly, people are mad because of the lies game freak told us to excuse the fact that their new games will have less pokemon than sun/moon.

Re: Junichi Masuda Releases Official Statement About Limiting Sword And Shield's Pokédex

AndreaF96

@CosmoXY No. They want people to buy their games so that they make money from them (which is only fair since they are companies and not amateurs). They want customers to be happy so that they keep buying their products and they keep making money from them. What do they get from me if I don't buy the new game but buy it used instead (which I'm not even sure I'll do)? Nothing. 0€. That was the point I was trying to make.
For you it might not be enough to not buy the game. For me it is. Just different opinions. Also I didn't like that they said bs to try to excuse their decision.

Re: Pokémon's Junichi Masuda Explains The Decision To Limit Sword And Shield's Pokédex

AndreaF96

@SuperGhirahim64 i understand your point of view, even if I don't agree with you. To me sun/moon were the best pokemon ever: the hawaian setting and the plot and characters were just so immersive. I didn't finish usum because they were the sams with some additional content. But if someone asks me what is the bast pokemon game ever I say usum, because they are very much like sun/moon but better. I don't think that a game should only be evaluated by its replayability. Grim fandango is a masterpiece but its replayability is basically nonexistent.

@rjc-32 i hate the breed mechanic and don't play competitively. Not allowing to port every pokemon from pokebank just feels so lazy in my opinion. What if I did want to train a pokemon that is not included in the galar pokedex? Why the heck should I not be allowed to? There is literally no reason. If someone just wants to fill the galar pokedex they can do just that, there is no reason not to include the national pokedex with every pokemon in glorious hd.
