It's an interesting and somewhat surprising realization that Nintendo as a company has vast and diverse enough of a history to open their own museum. Not exactly something that can be said about many other companies(Speaking of which, Disney is certainly one that could, it probably already exists).
Such a shame to see how much the quality of Pokemon Games has dropped, although I guess if it children buy it they'll keep making em. Honestly, I'm glad there are better alternatives that have come out in the past couple of years.
@Nintendoh You're not wrong but Nintendo directs are like breaking news in terms of game trailers so most Nintendo fans watch it. in terms of a podcast for people to voice their opinions and perspectives, I prefer something less corporate and biased and having restrictions on what they can say makes the experience less valuable to me.
@aumgn They were definitely allowed to talk about Non-Nintendo games on Nintendo platforms but I remember a tidbit in an episode where one of the podcasters admitted that they couldn't mention a game because it wasn't on a Nintendo platform
I thought it was pretty good for Nintendo News and discovering new games on the eshop but it did get annoying when it became obvious no one was allowed to criticize a Nintendo game or even mention any non-Nintendo games.
@Arawn93 Pirating a recently-released game that is easily accessible on modern-day platforms is wrong, pirating games that the company doesn't give any option of acquiring anymore is morally acceptable because there is no way to buy the games anymore anyways, like with the recent 3DS/Wii U eshop closures, that's when game preservation is a valid point.
In terms of the Mario movie, Absolutely nothing is going to happen to Nintendo if a couple of people decide to watch the movie illegally, they're a megacorp, so its pretty dumb to get mad about a couple of people pirating the movie, yes its "stealing," but who gives a damn. oH nOOO Nintendo is only making $1 billion off this movie and not $1.1 billion! those poor souls. Also, why get mad at the people pirating the movie to watch by themselves when we could be focusing on all of the evil and scummy things megacorps like Nintendo does to their fans, that's what actually affects us as consumers.
Would it really be that hard to credit everyone who had directly worked on your game? Seems like it would be a great way to avoid the hassle that might come later down the line when a developer you didn't credit calls you out.
Good for them! Unpacking was surprisingly relaxing to play, didn't expect to enjoy it this much! This is made even more impressive by the fact that they haven't ported it to mobile.
Based on the quote, I'd imagine it's probably gonna be a game-creation tool similar to Roblox, which if that's the case I won't be interested at all. They also refer to them as "sales" so I'm assuming this won't be a live service game, which wouldn't make sense if it was similar to Roblox
@HotGoomba using .5 is super weird to me, Pikmin Bloom is Pikmin Bloom, a spinoff Pikmin game. Do people call the Ps4 pro the PS4.5?
I'm aware that Kingdom Hearts does it but I've always found their naming weird and confusing.
Kind of like how some people classify games as "2.5D," although I do understand that a little bit more.
Cool! I definitely totally really want a skin for a character in a first person shooter that I can't even see during gameplay! Totally worth the time and effort!
Expected for the launch, in a few months is where the player count's gonna really matter, but for a free to play Overwatch game theres no doubt it's gonna be popular for a LONG time unless Blizzard messes up really bad.
@Astral-Grain Life-sized version of an ant is the size of a real ant, life-sized version of a Hylian named link is the size of a real Hylian named Link...
Cool! Star Fox 2 was one of my favorite SNES games! Although it is kind of weird that the website is making an article on the anniversary of a rerelease of a game, I guess it is a Nintendo website after all
Uh, no thank you. Honestly feel like I got ripped off when I bought it at launch, the gameplay was really wonky and got repetitive fast. The only redeeming factor for me was that it looked really good, so on switch it's most likely gonna have 0 redeeming factors for me. Really unfortunate as the world and characters are really intriguing and well designed
