Re: News Site Claims That Zelda "Takes A Dim View Of Workers, People Of Colour And Women"

3Daniel

The legend of zelda series hasnt made ganondorf out to be evil for the sake of evil. What little backstory we have of him paints a tragic figure. I do see the parallel between the real world struggles of middle eastern and western ideology but i find it to be more enlightening then offensive. As far as sexism goes they clearly overlooked the plethora of strong female characters represented in the game. And the arguement of animal abuse is laughable as the animals in the series DO have a symbiotic relationship with mankind. I don't remember any slaughterhouses in the series.

Re: Review: Pokémon X & Y (3DS)

are HMs back? and if so in what capacity? nothing is more annoying then having a super bad donkey pokemon only to have to find a PC to switch out with something that can cut a small twig blocking your path... or limiting your moveset to allow your flying pokemon the ability to fly.

Re: Sonic The Hedgehog Confirmed For Super Smash Bros. On Wii U And 3DS

3Daniel

Sonic looks like he has a giant moob on his chest. ol i was hoping for a classic sonic interpretation but this is good news! Altho smasg is centered around the games id love too see team rockets jesse and james alongside pokemon trainer to showcase nintendos reach outside games. And give us a pokemon villain.

Re: Poll: Would You Buy Grand Theft Auto V On Wii U?

3Daniel

No. Its not a game for me. I just never got intp sandbox titles. I passed on Lego City as well. However I am a huge fan of the original top down 2dthe affair. But that was mostly so I could run pedestrians over. And hey fox news, never onc did doing so cause me to do so in real life.

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (Wii U)

3Daniel

Definately picking this up even tho i still own original tho i will point out that again AB trio had no mention of price tho the games were released only a short time ago for far cheaper then the wii u retail disc but here we have price mentioned, i live in us so 49.99, so we arent going for standards in reviews?

Re: Feature: A Week of Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Screens - Issue Four

3Daniel

I thought they literally ripped the models of stages from the games they originate in. As in skyloft being the very model used in skyward sword. In brawl several of the trophies are from the actual games they appear in. Also peach is shocked in that last pic because of a curious placement of luigi's hand which the camera rightfully cuts off just enough to allude to what is going on. Mario must be pretty angry somewhere.

Re: CoroCoro Magazine Reveals Pokémon X & Y Starter Evolutions, Mega Mewtwo X and New 'Mon

3Daniel

@Archgamer some of us aren't into competitive battling its like adopting a dog. some turn out brilliant and others... not so much. but once we choose them we stick by them regardless of their stats and abilities. I love grass types even though they have the most weaknesses. And I always get a Jigglypuff on my team even though she's not the greatest battler by far simply because I have a soft spot for the singing puff ball.

Re: Talking Point: Considering the Methods and Means of Game Reviews

3Daniel

I think standards are in order. i'll point to the recent angry birds wii u review where price wasn't considered. typically, price shouldn't determine fun factor, but prior mobile to console releases did receive negative feedback due to increase in price, granted most are a more shallow experience than AB, related to the transition to console/handheld porting. now the review didn't bother me, AB just isn't something I care for, but at 10x the cost of the mobile versions might have been something to call out. Seeing as an eshop release would have remedied the pricepoint. But I don't review games, I just play them... so what do I know?

Re: CoroCoro Magazine Reveals Pokémon X & Y Starter Evolutions, Mega Mewtwo X and New 'Mon

I was hoping for grass dark for chespin line with an emphasis on the hood his starter wears much like scraggy in terms of deaign but o well. Ive never been a fire fan but fenns evo looks cool with the detatched tail. I really like mewtwoY but i need a xerneas. Funny how varied everyone's opinions can be. Also trex looks awesome, the poodle pokemon i thought was an absol preve...

Re: Early Estimates Place Pikmin 3 August Sales in the U.S. at 185,000 Units

3Daniel

@DrKarl lol the controls were fine. I mostly use the gamepad seeing as its wii pointer and not the better wiimotion plus thats used for the other set up. I would have liked a little more customization with controls but they get the job done. There was just something about bathing enemies with pikmin using march that felt better for me then charge but i take bigger issue with the returning day cycle. Maybe we will get to fight for our lives at night if pikmin 4the ever comes about.

Alao i downloaded this so you can add 1 to that total

Re: StreetPass Relay Issues Reported in North America

3Daniel

Ive never get relay passes or even street passes and i havr my 3ds with me fairly often. I wanted to pick up some of the new plaza games but i still hav a majority of puzzles incomplete due to lack of hits and the 10 coin limit combined with the overwhelming number of repeat panels i get hav made it a total hassle to complete them.

Re: Round Table: Let's Talk About the 2DS and Wii U Price Cut

3Daniel

@orravan85 im sure it is. I was just referring to the article, i forget who questioned it, as to why the placement of the buttons were above center. I wish the 3dswii had better rl triggers and id pick one up for myself but i love the 3d effect in games. Im getting one for my young nephew and it will be his first gaming device outside of leap pad!!! He broke the hinge on my initial 3dsannouncement so i love that they went with a slate design

I wish i could turn off auto correct a on my phone.

Re: Round Table: Let's Talk About the 2DS and Wii U Price Cut

3Daniel

Its such a shame the wii u has been in such a dire position as it really is a cool console with lots of options right out of the box. Nintendo has been trying to give control to the consumer and pikmin 3 embodies it perfectly. Gamepad, gamepro, wiimote and nunchuck. I love not being tied to a single configuration and this really needs to be marketed more. Not to mention offscreen play which is more beneficial then ppl give credit. My friend was watching sinister with his wife and she fell asleep so he switched over to the pad with his headphones and continued watching. I was playing pikmin the other day and did the same thing so not to wake my nephews. The digital deluxe promotion doesnt get the praise it deserves either and i love NOT being tied down to expensive proprietary memory or forced hardware installs. Nintendo fudged the release by not having the software to back it up and relying on third parties without proper incentives to get exclusive content. Had they invested in legends it never would have gone multiplatform and delayed.

Re: "No Plans" For Ambassador Program Following Wii U Price Cut

3Daniel

I totally get why people are peeved about this. I purchased my wii u with the understanding that Nintendo "learned from their 3ds launch" something people seem to forget that Nintendo stated time and time again leading up to the launch. then they released the system, and pushed the majority of launch window titles by 3 to 6 months. lost exclusivity with legends and essentially had a gaming drought. then they stated a price cut wasn't going to happen and that the release of titles this fall are what they are focusing on. only to then announce a price cut. I for one purchased my wii u thinking they had actually learned from the 3ds launch and ended up having to repeat it. I won't ever buy a Nintendo console in any launch window from now on, but i'm not expecting free anything for being an early adopter... although giving "ambassadors" early access to all major first party titles via eshop by a few days or a week would be AWESOME. this way they aren't wasting money, and can stoke our egos while counting their cash.

Re: "No Plans" For Ambassador Program Following Wii U Price Cut

3Daniel

the 30 cent virtual console promotion was a joke. we got Yoshi while japan got mother 2 and we had to pay 10$ for it. granted its completely worth 10$ and more for earthbound, but Nintendo needs to stop these lopsided promotions and staggered regional releases, and unfortunately with wwhd being released in September now I won't be picking up wonderful 101 since3 I was going digital for those titles. however, i'll now be able to pick up dkr trop freeze as my gaming slate just opened up.

Re: "No Plans" For Ambassador Program Following Wii U Price Cut

3Daniel

im not upset seeing as my only gripe was that I was under the impression that only the Zelda bundle could access wwhd on the eshop early, since its available to all im pleased, but I still would love to get that hyrule hystoria digital copy as compensation even tho I have the physical. but I'm selfish.

Re: Wii U Deluxe Model Gets Official $50 Price Cut in North America

3Daniel

the only thing that irks me about the price cut is the AWESOME Zelda bundle. i'd gladly take paying the full price for wwhd digitally early on sept 20th and i'd like the FREE digital hyrule hystoria as an ambassador incentive and i'd be happy.

Also, for everyone saying not to gripe for being an early adopter, just know we were the ones who truly believed in Nintendo and its latest machine. I purchased early because Nintendo stated they learned from the 3ds launch and wouldn't make the same mistake only to do the EXACT same thing with a long gaming drought with sporadic overpriced ports and denials of a price drop only to then drop the price. anyone who purchased a wii u yesterday should be PO'd. I'm not angry but I will forever hold off on purchasing ANY new Nintendo consoles in the next generation of their machines.

Re: DuckTales: Remastered Update to Target Leaderboard Issues on Wii U

3Daniel

I love this game. When playing on the gamepad theres some wierd pixelization that goes on at times with the character designs. An occassional hiccup with pogo fails. I can live with all of it tho for only 15. Havent gone on leaderboard as its not my thing.

I do miss the beautiful spritework Of the original tho.

@sinalefa I just took the lack of varia suit being the commander testing samus' loyalty while acknowledging the fact that she is more then capable of surviving those sequences, based on my playthru anyway as I had no problem. she is an accomplished warrior and was able to prove to the commander that she is a force.
the ridley scare scene was a moment that sako stated he wanted to implement in an earlier Metroid game but was unable to, I just chalked it up to her shock and stress of this monster once again returning and in an environment where people she cared for were, on the capsule, all the while knowing had she not saved the birdy, a great parallel to the baby Metroid, earlier he would not be there. I loved that scene and it gave samus a real sense of humanity.

(I posted this on my smartphone and it glitched so I hopped on my laptop to repost it so if the earlier post shows my bad)

also, retro irked the continuity of the story imo even tho the prime games rocked.
