New tech from a foreign company.. It was probably considered to much of a risk.

But that's how it goes. I doubt it'll haunt them though, its just business. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Things are unpredictable.

I really hope they release DLC for this game. I'd love more re-imagined retro stages. They look absolutely fantastic!

If they would ever do a remake of any Wii title I want them to do it like with Wind Waker HD. Added visual effects etc. Not just an upped resolution.

PacMan needs to happen. Having Sonic, Mario, MegaMan & PacMan in the same game would be amazing

What does the New Super Mario Bros. devs have to do with anything?

Pretty much what I expected. I don't trust Artoon (or Arzest, as they're called now apparently) after Yoshi's Island 2/DS. That game was no where near as good as the first, this seems to be in the same boat.

I don't get why they outsource projects to that studio to begin with.

That's a TON of people. Poor souls. I hope they find new jobs.

I kind of get it though. It must be easier to outsource projects to other studios, like how EA are getting to work with the Star Wars license.

If it was Nintendo would have shut them down. It's pretty awesome that they allow this IMO.

I wouldn't mind some more DKC personally. Though I'm fine with whatever they decide to make. I've loved all of their titles so far, amazing bunch of developers

999 & Ghost Trick for example. I've heard both are excellent. I would rather get them on the 3DS though. It's a bit weird this is only for WiiU.

Developers can post videos.

Sakurai have posted every new SSB trailer on Miiverse in a Miiverse post for example. And the New Super Mario Bros. developers post some amazing speed runs of levels in NSMBU from time to time.

I absolutely love the facial animations they've added to the characters. Looks fantastic & gives the game loads of personality.

Why are Mario & Peach driving backwards..? That's just weird.

This should feature a Lakitu telling them to turn around.

Would rather have had Mewtwo. Never liked Lucario in SSBB.

Man, this sounds & looks outstanding. Definitely a GOTY contender, DKC:R was my favorite 2D platformer last gen! David Wise doing amazing music, gorgeous HD visuals, awesome level design etc. etc. etc.

My fingers are itching to play this!!

Not at all. Both Toon Zelda and SS Zelda are better designs IMO, and they would both fit in better using the artstyle of this game (which is a lot more colorful than SSBB). Re-using the SSBB model seems lazy to me, there are better and more interesting choices when it comes to her design.

Because she is easy to implement. All they have to do is updated the SSBB model.

I hate that they're just copy/pasting SSBB characters. Extremely boring. Haven't felt excited for any veteran yet. It just feels like Brawl.

This looked so goofy and weird. Pretty fun co-lab, but I'm not a big fan of Dynasty Warriors, so I'll probably skip it. Nice to see them experimenting though.

This Nintendo Direct was really great. Full of surprises!

I'm hoping for a new Mario Kart 8 trailer, or some kind of info on it. I'd also like to know what Reggie meant with that "The year of Luigi will continue 2014".

It'll be fun to see what we can expect for the 3DS in early 2014 as well.

If you read the Miiverse code of conduct it says you're not allowed to spread any kind of personal information. A FC is considered personal.

Adding someone through Miiverse on WiiU isn't sharing any kind of information over the service itself with everyone. It's a personal invite to someone else.

I'm not trying to argue it's wrong of anyone to complain about it. Complain all you want, leave the platform if you want. It's all up to you. As I said, the best way to vote is to not use it.

If you don't want to follow their rules on their platform, I'd recommend you find some other platform you're more comfortable with. That's what I'd do. Users not following the rules makes the service a worse place (from Nintendo's standpoint), leaving would mean less work for the moderators, which is good.

I'm pretty sure you'll be fine without ever using Miiverse though. It's not like games on Nintendo platforms are heavily online focused.

Their service, their rules. Don't like it, don't use it.

That's how I would have done it if I created a network for others as well.

Been posting some 3D Land. The service is, unfortunately, really slow on the 3DS. Doubt I'll use it as much as on the WiiU.

I also have to say that I disagree that this should have been shown in a independent Nintendo Direct. I feel the exact opposite. It's better to announce it here than waste it on a Nintendo Direct. Save the big announcements for Nintendo Direct's or Game Expo's, not an award show.
