With Nintendo planning an eShop sale to coincide with The Game Awards, in addition to being up for some of the upcoming event's prizes, it's been clear the company is continuing its run of involvement with the show. Now the hype is ramping up further, with confirmation that there'll be an 'exclusive new look' at The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild during the show.

First of all, the announcements are below.

It's worth remembering that the first extensive look at gameplay for the title, while it was unnamed, was during The Game Awards in 2014. The title has certainly changed a fair bit since then, but it'll be worth tuning in with the prospect of a decent amount of footage.

Despite the extensive Wii U demo at E3 and all of the Treehouse streams, much of Breath of the Wild is still mysterious. Nintendo will hopefully fill in a few gaps with its offering at The Game Awards, though naturally plenty will still be left as a mystery ahead of the 2017 release. It'll also be interesting to see whether Nintendo opts to showcase it on the Nintendo Switch, now that the upcoming console has been revealed.

The Game Awards go down on 1st December at 5.30pm Pacific / 8.30pm Eastern / 1.30am UK / 2.30am CET (starting with the pre-show); naturally we'll be streaming and live blogging it all here on Nintendo Life. Are you hyped for this Breath of the Wild footage?
