There are a bunch that I hadn't heard until today.
I am disappointed with some of the indie titles that I have seen on other consoles that are not on the way to the wiiu and there future releases.
@markybbop Have you contacted the indie developers themselves about that? That seems to sometimes be a fruitful approach.
I'm excited for several of these.
@markybbop The only one missing from Wii U that really should be there is Towerfall, its so good and 4 player. Transistor is also awesome but im not sure Nintendo fans would like it. Other then that PS4/X1 indie games are pretty weak but there are some good looking ones on the way.
Can someone ask RK if Treasurenaughts is cancelled? Its totally lost all hype at this point.
@jariw no ive never even thought about it. I should really and will on some. Dont get me wrong the wiiu has got some great indie games and more on the way but there are some on the ps4 especially the horror titles that id love to see on the wiiu.
@emblem what about valiant hearts, dust an elysian tail, counter spy, daylight, outlast. Come on they would do great on the wiiu
Kind of surprised at Gunman Clive 2's absence from this list, as successful as the original was.
@markybbop Perhaps @MrV4ltor wants to chime in with some tips on contacting indie developers? He seems to have been successful getting quite a few developers to make Wii U ports.
Glad to see S&S2 is going to be playable, it's my most wanted game. Whenever it comes out I'm ready for it.
@markybbop Well i own most of them and i can say Wii U owners are not missing anything imo. I agree about Dust though its great, forgot it comes out today .
Nice indi games. Now how about a proper account system?!
love indie games
Will keep and eye on some of these titles
Still waiting on the Oddworld titles Weren't they supposed to be out by now?
Where is FAST RACING NEO ... common guys, i need a trailer or something !
@xj220_afiles For now, I think you have to settle with the screen shots they posted a couple of weeks ago.
@jariw I do talk to lots of game devs about bringing their games to Wii U and in some cases I am able to make it happen. But the games that @markybbop wants on Wii U are all probably not possible on Wii U. Valiant Hearts is a Ubisoft Game, Counter Spy is party funded by Sony (Could come to Wii U in half a year or so, like Guacamelee), Daylight is published by Atlus and not that great of a game and an Outlast port would probably have to be gimped, just because of the Wii U's power. I also always like to look for the next "big thing" rather than chasing the thing that was big half a year ago.
I'll get Affordable Space Adventures, Chariot, Costume Quest 2, Shantae(!!!), Shovel Knight, Stealth Inc 2 and XeoDrifter for certain, and a maybe for Woah Dave! and The Fall.
Is Woah Dave! coming out on Wii U now, or is it still just 3DS?
Nindies. Heh, charming.
@Ignatius 3DS only for now.
Citizens of Earth? Or is that not Indies.
@MrV4ltor Yeah those games don't really make me think of Wii U indies. Plus Daylight was not very good.
'Nindies?' No. Stop that now.
Affordable Space Adventures looks great.
Nintendo has the best indy games of all portable and home consoles.
Affordable Space Adventures, Shantae and maybe Costume Quest 2. The indies interest me more than the big titles that are still to appear this year.
Shovel Knight I already finished on the PC but I'll get it on the Wii U too. My daughters want to play that game so badly. I'm giving them all the retro love I can
@Hero-of-WiiU Citizens of Earth is published by Atlus now. Don't know if they provided any funding. It's coming to Wii U around November.
I am ... Nindependent ... gets punched in the face
I thought Woah Dave! was going to be on 3DS, not Wii U. Not that I'm complaining but I'm just curious.
Affordable Space Adventures please.
Beatbuddy and Xeodrifter are on my radar.
WiiU has some nice Indies. I liked Trine2 DC, Unepic, and recently Tesla.
Really looking forward to Stealth2, Shinen's racer and also missing from this event is Pier Solar which is coming soon.
Still my favorite Indy tittle of all time is Mark of the Ninja (M$ published on Pc and x360). It is flat out the best 2D platform/stealth game I can ever remember. I hope they do a follow up and bring it to handhelds. Klei also makes Don't Starve which is a survival sim that would be great on WiiU.
Loving some of the Indy games I have on the Wii U, I would much rather sit at the TV rather than the PC and play these games. Going to play expo this weekend, hopefully there will be a decent Nintendo showing again this year.
@Thats-what-shy
As a Vita and PS4 owner, I naturally disagree. Nintendo has been smart this Gen getting Indies on board though, support seems to be increasing all the time
I approve the name of Nindies.
