Been wanting to play the gameboy version of Donkey Kong for awhile having played it once over a decade ago and really enjoying it.
Fire Emblem advance is very tempting... How would people compare the story to that in Shadow Dragon and Awakening?

I own Rayman Legends, AC 3 + 4 and Zombi U. Ubisoft's releases on the Wii U helped give the lineup a great deal of variation.
Assasin's Creed III was obviously going to sell better on the consoles with a 7 year install base who had previously seen every entry in the franchise.
Assasin's Creed IV on the other hand was the first major multiplatform release on PS4 and XBox One coming out at a time where there was very little else to play on the system. The Wii U on the other hand had Deus Ex, Wind Waker and Sonic Lost World all released that week.

It seems counter intuitive to cut away one of the only opportunities Ubisoft has to expand the existing playerbase but on a purely statistical level it makes some sense.
It will be a great shame to lose the support Ubi has given the system. :(

Galaxy plays on the Wii U already and looks great as it is. I'd be amazed if there were many Wii U owners who haven't already picked this up who would do so. Sunshine is a more interesting option.

Metroid Prime and Eternal Darkness would both be awesome although neither would be things I would invest in as I've already played those to death.
I haven't played F Zero GX or Blue Storm so I guess I'd consider those.

I think a Rogue Squadron HD collection would be enticing though.

Is this the notoriously voyeuristic game where burglars break into a house full of live action screaming woman in their underwear?
The same game which multiple sources have categorised as one of the worst videogames of all time?
'Oh yes! Please bring your irrelevant and dated remake to this third place platform!'

I hope Sakurai hasn't been showing too many of the unlockable characters... I don't mind if the third parties are but it would be nice for there to be some secrets left. Alternatively I hope there are lots of secret costumes : D

Well I just sacrificed a hard drive to be able to download W101 so space is no longer an issue....
Jeeez, tough call between Child of Light, Blacklist and Black Flag... I really should be saving my cash but ...VALUE
At least the deal is active for two weeks rather than the usual 1 week.

AJWolfTill commented on Sean Bean Declares His Head is 'A Bit Square' ...:

@Zobocop I started it again recently, it's still very playable, the visuals are comedic rather than bad if you have some attachment to the game already. The one thing which was really hard to adjust to was the game's enemy spawn/stealth system.

"alerting guards (either with sound, an alarm or being spotted by a camera) will cause all guards in the level to begin spawning copies of themselves. This will only stop when the original guard is killed."
This only applies to a handful of levels though.

AJWolfTill commented on Video: The 10 Best Zelda Games As Selected By You:

Twilight Princess was a perfect update of the style from Ocarina of Time and had the greatest enemy design and story in the series. It is however incredibly safe and didn't bring as much to the franchise as the other 3d entries. It's probably the perfect gateway drug though.

Without the nostalgia surrounding ALttP it just didn't quite live up to it's reputation to me when I finally played it this year. Link's Awakening is likely to remain my favourite 2d entry.

I see Atlus' strategy of staggered release dates as fairly wise. It ensures that they have a more uniform flow of income rather than occasional payday's interspersed with long periods of drought. It presumably helps them keep their numbers and therefore costs down.
And yes at that price I'm in! Although I hope we get a demo first : )

AJWolfTill commented on Yet More Hyrule Warriors Details Coming This Week:

@ricklongo This game better batter the Japanese sales charts with the amount of content they have been churning out!
Most likely character now are probably Groose, Tetra, a mask wielding Kafei and Medli.
I think I'm more interested in the representation than the game itself.

@ricklongo It would have been nice to have one in partnership with Comic-Con... I really hope they have one in August. The 3ds line-up seems particularly barren in the West.

Hope that Marth isn't final. Out of this first batch I'm tempted by Pit the most although Fox's looks pretty fantastic it has to be said. I'd definitely be interested in Lucina's though.

People annoyed about the lack of Shulk and Gannondorf need to chill! They just announced three people and you are complaining that a specific person wasn't revealed....
The roster isn't complete yet : P They haven't even added Ness yet so chill!

Awesome, I was holding out in the hope that Earthbound would receive a price cut at some point! Didn't think it would be such a spectacular one! I'll just have to remember to get it when I'm back from Holiday. I'd of got Steamworld for the plane journey but the update will probably come in a little late.

Does anyone know if you can access the eShop abroad.

AJWolfTill commented on New Fighter for Super Smash Bros. to be Reveal...:

I can't see it being a returning fighter since they are delivering a three minute long unique video for it. They have only done that with the newcomers. Shulk or Chrom/Lucina are rightly popular here among the fanbase but it's solo nature makes me think there is a good chance it will be a third party character. Best think on Nintendo's more reliable relationships.

Bayonetta from Platinum? (I'd rather have Amaterasu)
Professor Layton from Level-5? (We've had weirder selections)
Rayman from Ubisoft? (Because we've never had Ezio)
A representative from Square Enix, (I'm dreaming of a Sora KH3 Wii U combo)

Otherwise I'm betting on another Zelda character.

@outburst
Red Steel 1 is pretty maligned and not worth getting retrospectively. Red Steel 2 MUST have Motion Plus controllers, has an atrocious story/voice acting but has a great combat system. It is not something I've ever felt like replaying so only get it if you have what you need and it's cheap.
No More Heroes 1 is a game with some aggravating flaws but a very unique style which may just win over. No More Heroes 2 is a much better crafted game and one of my favourite Wii games. It would perhaps be more enjoyed after playing the first one.
I haven't played the other two but I would recommend Virtue's Last Reward and 999 above everything else.

@ikki5
Out of all the timeline mashing that this game is doing, this is the thing you question? Anyways the Wind Waker existed before the events of that game and was presumably an heirloom of the royal family. It makes perfect sense that Zelda could wield it.
Here is a quote
"That Wind Waker you hold was used long ago to conduct us sages when we played our song to call upon the gods. In those days, it was always the king who conducted for us...".

AJWolfTill commented on First Impressions: Hyrule Warriors Is Zelda, B...:

"hopefully these will add some problem-solving magic to the almost painfully straightforward Warriors template."
Throwing bombs into Dodongo's (et al.) mouths has become such a derivative trope of Zelda boss fights. If that is the kind of "added depth" to the combat system they are going for then that's almost a negative.
