AJWolfTill commented on Koei Tecmo Europe All But Confirms Fatal Frame...:

Well I was really looking forward to this game until I read an interview with the creators about it and man... Their priorities were just awful...
They kept going on about how much work they put into making the clothes revealing in water and getting tips from Team Ninja about how to model and program "chest physics". Ayame from Dead or Alive is actually one of the main characters in this game...

@unrandomsam
"in this day and age there should be no load times at all"
This is a very unrealistic expectation seeing as game developers will continue to push the hardware they have to it's max. Actually how on earth is a video game supposed to do anything if it doesn't load anything first?

OH MY!!!!
The collective DLC pack seemed like good value but I'm waiting to see what they do with the additional "scenarios" and adventure maps.
I'll be disappointed if they just release a reshuffled map of the original, New Game Plus style.

@aaronsullivan
Well I definitely wouldn't recommend this for a 5 year old but I can't think of any specific moments where a character did something that would have been too violent for a mainline Zelda game, I haven't seen anything bordering on any of Ganondorf's executions in TP and WW, but I haven't finished the story mode. The special moves are more showy and cartoony than gory.
Cia's design is probably the least appropriate thing in the entire game.

On a personal note there was one level in the game where...

Spoilers!
you have to mow down hundreds of Ocarina of Time style Gorons. Whilst not exactly worse than usual it caused me an extreme amount of heartache XD

Spoiler end

If you feel they are old enough for Lord of the Rings then this wouldn't encroach on the violence in that.

I'm not going to lie, as a Dynasty sceptic I wasn't expecting to enjoy this much but... oh my is it fun and addictive. The mainline challenge of the game isn't usually due to what you are fighting but how you apply yourself across the battlefield and whether you can finish fighting a particular group of enemies fast enough to save a companion on the other end of the battlefield.

@Mega719
I meant what if there ARE characters in the Wii U version that aren't in 3ds.
For example what if the Wii U version has an asynchronous multiplayer game mode involving the bosses that have been teased and semi-confirmed?
Just maybe gamepad users can control Ridley's or Metal Faces attack patterns to tear up the stage 0_o
Can't wait to see Viridi flinging reset bombs at the other players : P

Played a couple of rounds as each character! Link's new sideways jump attack smash is a beastly move, as is Megaman's charged shot (projectile A attacks!).
All the characters on offer play extremely well but the ridiculously tree felling attack has got to be my favorite move so far.

@Jllanos22 @BossBattles @Emblem
Thomas outlined some solid complaints, notably that the games visuals have somewhat dated since it's original release and these were not overhauled to bring it inline with the sequel. The questionable gender representation, while not be a detractor for some is certainly worthy of nicking it down from a perfect score.

To anyone who has played these games, do any of the non Nintendo outfits allow you to cut down on the nakedness that seems to follow combo execution? It just seems crass and excessive.

Also what is the point of complaining that this stuff wasn't already in the game. Tecmo Koei powered through this game to get it out as quickly as possible. They probably hadn't started working on some of this content by the time the game was nearing completion.

AJWolfTill commented on Immediate DLC Reinforcements Arriving Soon On ...:

I don't mind DLC. Nintendo has done it near perfectly with Mario Kart and I would be happy for Smash DLC to be a thing in about a years time. I can't help but think that amiibo is going to be an alternative to DLC though. What if the Smash bros Link figure unlocks the Zelda Mario Kart DLC and the Villager one unlocks the latter.
What I do mind about DLC is when the prices aren't scaled so that individual DLC packs cost more than the game. (Mass Effect 2)

Very much what I was expecting, my girlfriend preordered it so we could play through this weekend. : )

Can anyone tell me if there are any unlockable characters which weren't repeatedly shown in promotional trailers?

AJWolfTill commented on Sakurai Explains Reasoning Behind Removal Of I...:

@Tobias95 Oh Tobias, http://youtu.be/cEsdLNG3u6I?t=22s
The inclusion of those other characters doesn't mean those games will be cropping up soon, (although I would imagine every character's amiibo would have to have some function outside of smash bros.)
It just means there was no incentive for them to break their backs over trying to fix characters that weren't working, potentially delaying the game.

@Josaku @MajinSoul To anyone worried about the Wii U version's content, do not forget that the 3ds version did not use any of the cut scenes we have seen, and both Ridley from Metroid and Metal-Face from Xenoblade have been teased at various points.
This suggests some sort of mode similar to subspace but I don't want to get my hopes up too high.

Otherwise I would probably be getting Phoenix Wright.
Definately getting the Smash Bros demo when that hits on Friday.

AJWolfTill commented on Watch Dogs Wii U Release Dates Confirmed:

@NbaJunkie Deus Ex really is amazing...

I was so excited for this at the beginning of E3, it was even my most anticipated Wii U game of the year at one point. Since then the excitement has ebbed and I've heard pretty negative things from my friends who got it. I really wanted to reward Ubi for bringing this to us... but it really is so late now.
If they have utilised the console's features, include at least some DLC and market it at a semi-reasonable price rather than £60 I will still pick this up.
Otherwise I will probably wait for an eshop sale or something.

I loved Project Zero 2 on the Wii. This game looks like it shares a lot of the things that made that game stand out as well as having the perfect controller possible for the franchise! Here's hoping they won't make us wait too long : )

Well I'll definitely tune in at the beginning to get an idea of how it is going to work. I'm sure how much new stuff I can expect. I'm sure we will get the 2 new levels of C. Toad that have been demoed and probably a tonne of Bayonetta.

I very nearly backed this awhile ago, but I'm happy to wait for awhile for the EU release as I've got half a dozen games on the go right now.

@PvtOttobot If you are looking for story rich games get 999 and Virtues Last reward if you have never played them : )

I don't understand the gripe against sword users... There are four fighter archetypes in these games.
Brawler/martial artist
Gun Wielder
Sword Wielder
and Mage/Psychic.

It's not like all the characters with swords have all the same movesets... they just use slashes instead of punches. I love that Shulk is joint with MegaMan, take that naysayers : P

I got all the characters I was really hoping for in Shulk, Lucina and Palutena and got Robin as an additional treat.
Having said that I can see myself using Mii's an awful lot as I have been getting more attached to them recently + the amount of customization is incredibly exciting!

AJWolfTill commented on UK And Australian Pricing For Nintendo's Amiib...:

There is no way I can justify spending this much on these as it stands. I was tempted by a couple of them but Nintendo is going to have to really work at instilling value in these purchases. I'm hoping for an amiibo direct before they launch.

@hcfwesker That seems incredibly plausible! I really would not be surprised if they did that tomorrow.
These single game directs are great but there is very little room for surprises in them. Compare the last ones we have had with the Japan only 3DS direct.

I wonder if they will release a Bayonetta Amiibo?
