If you like the idea of collecting tonnes of trophies, customizable moves and other things from throughout Nintendo's history, playing as all of their most iconic characters, and having a game with hundreds of songs both original and remixed from a huge number of Nintendo games, then yes?
You can still play the multiplayer online if you want to play with others.

As awesome as this game looks I can't help but wish there was a meatier single player mode. I'm glad to see the event matches are back though.

I was just about to cry over the fact that even in an article discussing Platinum Games, nobody was talking about Okami! I'm finding it really hard to accept that that series is never going to continue...

I'd put off the W101 as from the start it's visuals tone and gameplay didn't appeal to me. My momentary hype by the dedicated direct was buried by my mixed feelings from the demo. There is no denying that when I eventually got it through the MK8 promotion it's unique identity really shone through and can proudly say I'm a fan. I know I'll enjoy Bayonetta but I'm still not willing to commit just yet.

The new DLC has really fleshed out this already meaty title. I love that playing as Dark Link also makes Epona black.
The new Adventure map is great fun although I do really really hope that the subsequent Adventure mode maps do not just reuse the map from the original.

@DrunkLuigi Assuming you have already paid for the other stuff you may need to start the game from the home menu rather than the quick start one.

I found the demo pretty frustrating, showing me all these buildings, including a gym was bad enough but you aren't able to catch anything unscripted and any xp keeps getting reset every time. Also the bite size missions just do not match the series...
If that is not bad enough the enemies you face don't challenge you and the 3d effect is the least exciting use I have seen in any game designed for the 3ds.

@xilef It's got to happen! It was a second party game after all :) I think Nintendo co owns the series and has the rights to Fatal Frame 2, 4 and all future installments.

Glad to see these two franchises made it into the game. I never actually got a copy of the Last Story so I would happily buy a Wii U version if it happened, and like many others I am hoping to get some international love for Black Haired Shrine Maiden.

Good man! I adore game music and often listen to it by streams or other methods but I don't think I've ever spent money on a soundtrack specifically. I hope we continue to see a wider acceptance of the great compositions of the medium in more main stream locations. I truly hope that I can one day see music from video games being performed at the Proms and I really feel it is time for this to happen.

HYPED FOR DIRECT! I just hope it's a good length one and not entirely focused on Smash Bros. We need the Amiibo validation as much as we need the Wii U modes of Smash. Be nice to hear about some new things or updates on next years games.

A Zelda game set in a post Industrial fallout period where nature has reclaimed large amounts of the land would be awesome. Driving a bike through flowering ruins and vast countryside fields would be very cool.
The Desert region of Skyward Sword could have easily had this technology if the space was there.

A lot of this looks fantastic or silly fun BUT
Motion Controls on the speeder bike level is an ATROCIOUS idea. That level was incredibly challenging and required fast reactions and tight steering. Not sure what they were thinking on that one.
I always wondered how it was the Rogue Squadron games were no longer around. At least I know the missing link now.

This is not that expensive, people need to chill. This is three games which are easily worth £10 each. If you are comparing it to ios price, you may need to consider whether that was the original release price or a later discounted one. Capcom also regularly has sales on the eshop so if you waited you could probably get this for around £16/$20

I thought that too then I heard that they:
1. Shoehorned Ayame from Dead or Alive into the game
2. Asked for Team Ninja's guidance on 'chest physics',
3. Designed the clothes of the school girls to be transparent and clingy when in water, a large focus of this title.
4.Focused on making it the most casual friendly entry in the series by making it more of an action game pacing wise.

I'm sure a lot of this is stuff is a positive to certain people but it has crushed my enthusiasm and respect for this series. It is probably still a great game though.

It's because these games are marketed to people outside of the 'gamer' demographic. Football and Motor Sports have a huge following and people pick these games up who wouldn't know their Master Swords from their Master Chiefs. They also receive a huge amount of advertising.

I'm actually really happy for Shadow of Mordor, it looked like that game was going to slip completely under the radar for most people.

I was sadly expecting this. I had started visiting it regularly around the time Chandra left. At the time they had a bunch of podcasts and youtube series all of which seem to have suddenly stopped not that long ago.
Whilst I was always an irregular buyer, I'd often buy Christmas issues to get an insight on what to ask for. It hurts that I will no longer be able to pick it up.

On an interesting note, the job vacancy they advertised earlier in the year was the most applied for job in Future Publishers history.

We need a general Nintendo Direct to explore the benefits of Amiibo, the unique modes on Wii U (I'm still expecting asymmetric boss fight multiplayer) and updates on everything beyond Bayo and Toad. Surely a general direct is round the corner?

That's not what he is doing! He appreciates the competitive player base but is not going to customize the game to their desires at the expense of the other 95% of the people who will get this game. He is in charge of making what is likely to be the biggest selling Nintendo game of the year, possibly even the console generation.

@rp17 I don't understand why the boundaries are an issue. If recovery is a big deal then can't you just up the damage ratio to 1.2 or something to compensate?

Well I was really looking forward to this game until I read an interview with the creators about it and man... Their priorities were just awful...
They kept going on about how much work they put into making the clothes revealing in water and getting tips from Team Ninja about how to model and program "chest physics". Ayame from Dead or Alive is actually one of the main characters in this game...

This is a very unrealistic expectation seeing as game developers will continue to push the hardware they have to it's max. Actually how on earth is a video game supposed to do anything if it doesn't load anything first?

The collective DLC pack seemed like good value but I'm waiting to see what they do with the additional "scenarios" and adventure maps.
I'll be disappointed if they just release a reshuffled map of the original, New Game Plus style.

Well I definitely wouldn't recommend this for a 5 year old but I can't think of any specific moments where a character did something that would have been too violent for a mainline Zelda game, I haven't seen anything bordering on any of Ganondorf's executions in TP and WW, but I haven't finished the story mode. The special moves are more showy and cartoony than gory.
Cia's design is probably the least appropriate thing in the entire game.

On a personal note there was one level in the game where...

you have to mow down hundreds of Ocarina of Time style Gorons. Whilst not exactly worse than usual it caused me an extreme amount of heartache XD

If you feel they are old enough for Lord of the Rings then this wouldn't encroach on the violence in that.

I'm not going to lie, as a Dynasty sceptic I wasn't expecting to enjoy this much but... oh my is it fun and addictive. The mainline challenge of the game isn't usually due to what you are fighting but how you apply yourself across the battlefield and whether you can finish fighting a particular group of enemies fast enough to save a companion on the other end of the battlefield.

I meant what if there ARE characters in the Wii U version that aren't in 3ds.
For example what if the Wii U version has an asynchronous multiplayer game mode involving the bosses that have been teased and semi-confirmed?
Just maybe gamepad users can control Ridley's or Metal Faces attack patterns to tear up the stage 0_o
Can't wait to see Viridi flinging reset bombs at the other players : P
