Tomodachi Collection New Life 3 DS

Another week of Japanese chart results, and another happy story for the 3DS. In recent weeks we've seen consistent success for Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and the ever-green Animal Crossing: New Leaf, but the release of Tomodachi Collection: New Life, the life-simulation game currently exclusive to Japan, has given another substantial boost to the handheld.

In the software results the new title has seized number one with an impressive haul of sales, with a number of other 3DS titles scattered around the top 20; in somewhat disappointing news, there are no Wii U releases in any position. One other landmark is that New Super Mario Bros. 2 has passed two million physical retail sales in Japan — lifetime sales are in parenthesis, below.
