Topic: Guys, I'm worried that I'm losing intrest in the Wii.

I love TF2! Such an awesome game.

I'm not. I had that worry for a minute a while back, but I love the WW games and theres so much good retail stuff that I'm not concerned. I also don't have that much time, though, so if you play everything as soon as it comes out I can see your point.

It's hard to help you there without knowing your situation. Do you play a lot? Are there some great games you might have missed? Are you looking for something more "hardcore" and wanting to get an xbox or something? Have you done the Metroid Prime games? If you haven't you really should. I still don't have Sports Resort but I know it's really fun. Have you played Okami? It's really amazing and probably tops the Wii Zelda game.

Personally I've become more casual about my gaming since I don't have much time anymore so theres enough content to keep me engaged for a long time to come, but you may need more, or you just need to be open to going back and exploring some odd titles that you missed, since there are lot's of pretty fun games

I'm one that briefly lost interest but gained it back as my taste in gaming is fairly broad. 2008 was such a shovelware year for the console despite my wide range of taste as the CLOSEST thing to a holiday killer app for me was de Blob.

I waited and then games like Deadly Creatures, Punch-Out!!, Excitebots, and The Conduit came out. Holiday 09/early 10 look ridculously full of quality as well. Plus I have yet to play Little King which saddens me.

I was losing interest too. Of course I bought Metroid Prime Trilogy after that so now all my other consoles will collect some dust for some time.

How's the Wii on it's last legs? It's doing perfectly fine as we speak.

I am just saying Wii is likely approaching the end of it's life cycle ...Nintendo must be working on (and close to completing) a new console by now.

Nintendo works on its next console before the current one is released. They started working on the Wii back around 2001 when the Gamecube was launched.

I would be very surprised to see anything other than a minor update to the Wii in the near future -- expect the Wii to mirror the DS with incremental upgrades rather than a brand new system. Remember they're trying to create a new ecosystem here and the old way of putting out a totally different piece of kit from what went before under the assumption that enough of your existing userbase will naturally upgrade is likely to go out the window.

The appeal for 3rd parties will be not having to shell out as much for new dev kits -- anyone else notice that Microsoft has dropped the 720p requirement for games on the 360? They finally recognise that Nintendo is eating their lunch not only by appealing to a broader userbase but by keeping the dev costs down and not requiring them to buy new HD platforms.

I agree with this man. TF2 is a game that can entertain you for years!

This is a fun gen, finally the graphics model imploded. MS and Sony burn boatloads of money and still have not released software and controllers that can compete with Wii.

The #1 selling game this Christmas may well be a home console 2-d Mario - Paradise FOUND!

Well, the seventh generation's timespan can last more than Nintendo's normal 5-year span so maybe a Wii HD is in the cards, just upgrading and not changing things like how the 360 has a future Project Natal bundle(correct me if i'm wrong) in the works for 2010. And Sony... with the PS3 Slim and its sixth-generation miracle, the PS2.

Wow, horrible post, honestly, if you don't want your Wii to gather dust, play the games you have! If you have played them to their fullest, trade them in, you should get enough trade for something else. Wow, horrible post!

Sure it matter if it sells. That is how we get more 2-d home console Marios. Plus it is a nice killer app game - keeps the WIi moving. If the WIi keeps moving, it has a longer life cycle. It if has a longer lifecycle, it gets a stronger library. If it gets a stronger library, it becomes more fun, and you get more out of your console invetment.

Mario games are still amazing,however...i completed New Super mario bros DS in 7 hours....straight.

Sorry but i want a Game that can give me a challenge and i am gonna be one of those people holding out for reviews on all platforms(PS3,360 and Wii) until i see a review of the game first and then see if ill buy it.
