I've played the demo of this. My impressions:

Graphics and sound are pretty underwhelming. Some sound effects don't have as much oomph in them as they should. To be fair, though, it's a Wiiware game.

When you first play the game, you have to create a profile, and then pick a character. I don't know if you can change characters though. There's around several characters to pick from, around 4-6.

To clear a stage, you must kill a certain number of zombies as well as collect a certain number of crystals. They don't change up the objectives in the demo version at all. I'm not sure about the full version though as I haven't played that yet. It can get pretty tedious for some.

There are 4 stages in the demo version. The fourth stage has a boss fight and the demo ends soon after the fight starts.

I will not be surprised (but mad though) when SNKP decides to keep TSS in Japan as usual just like they did to the Neo Geo, PSX, Saturn, Dreamcast, & PS2 version.

HUH! There's finally a 3rd party N64 game coming to the VC?!

(can't believe that some people would rather wait 4 years for some 3rd party N64 games to come to VC rather than to get the carts.)

You can't really expect the VC to serve all retro gaming needs I guess. It's why I still have a SNES & N64 handy.

Now is a good time to get a nice ole' PC Engine along with it's CD accessory & maybe an arcade card. Too bad we might not be seeing any more PC Engine games.

That's funny, he says that it needs to be multiplatform to put food on his plate, yet he only releases it on WiiWare & XBLA but not also on PSN. Am I missing something here?

In that case you won't be getting it. All the import games on VC arn't translated.

You guys do realize that the VC version of this game is actually the cancelled MVS/AES version, right? Not that's a bad thing or anything like that, but don't be surprised if the music ain't as good as the NGCD version.

Very true. If compilations lack the extras, they should have more games to make up for it. Around 30 games in total for the compilation at least.

Also, why is it that Namco never puts in their more recent arcade games like Tekken, Ridge Racer, The Outfoxies, Final Furlong, Soul Edge, & Time Crisis for example?

I'm hoping that there'll be DIP switches & great emulation present in the collection. Otherwise, no purchase.

They will bring those series. For now, Sega is on a mission to release every Wonder Boy game in the NA, JPN, & the PAL VCS. Maybe even Monster World IV

If MVC 2 can be released on XBLA & PSN, then I don't see why any of the games that I listed except for MVC 2 can't be on VC.
