also be sure to check the nintendo eShop. There are a ton of good independent games on there for fairly low prices, and classic nintendo games on the virtual console.
I do want to get the Wii U but the thing is that I just played Mario 3D land and New Super Mario Bros 2 so 3D world while still looks to be a great game still doesn't make me want the Wii U though I'm gonna get the game around next year.
I only can wish there will be one game on the Wii U that will want me to get the Wii U. I am planning to get it but not now, around next year which by then hopefully I'd get games that I wanted.
I still not desided which game should I play first: SS or TP. They're both on my favourite timeline.
Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the world of Nintendo. Trust me, living in Portugal, I too know very well what's like in a country where everyone including retailers seems to hate Nintendo. Although, over here the situation is improving because we got joint operations with Nintendo of Spain recently and they've been treating us well now. Hope in due time Nintendo decides to invest in more marketing and distribution efforts in your country. Then, your friends will start to understand why you were drawn to it earlier.
Twilight Princess is the cheaper option and a great game, Skyward Sword requires Motion Plus but has impressively tight controls. I'd play TP first because in many ways it feels like an improved version of Ocarina of Time, it's more formulaic. SS is more experimental in gameplay and setting. Anyway, you won't be disappointed.
Another game I'd highly recommend you to get it Super Smash Brothers Brawl. It's a lot of fun, even in single player and there's no better way to discover the whole world of Nintendo characters. And next year, you'll be more trained to jump into Super Smash Bros for Wii U.
I suggest playing Skyward Sword simply because it'll justify your Wiimotion Plus purchase. I prefer TP by a wide margin, but SS is still a good showcase of what the Wii was capable of...which could make or break things for people.
Start with Twilight Princess, if you start with Skyward Sword you're really going to feel restricted going from Wii motion plus to normal Wii mote play.
Thank you guys for your opinions! Today, I finally made my choice and purchaced used Wii U Premium in good condition. I hope, I'll not regret this.
Congrats! this was my best purchase in a long time. You can get a lot of games very cheap now- Sonic and All Stars Transformed, Need for Speed, Assassin's Creed 3, Mass Effect all for less than $30, some even less than$20....

Hey there, instead of listing great games at random I will make you some recommendations which as a fellow Zelda fan, I think you will enjoy.
Between TP and SS I would perhaps say Twilight Princess first since as someone else said, the step back in Motion Controls might take away from it.
Regarding other series...
1# Find a copy of Okami for the Wii. Everything about this should appeal as a Zelda fan. Fantastic visual style, beautiful sweeping soundtrack, overworld and dungeon gameplay in the vein of Zelda, you even get your own miniture companion! Plus one of the most unique and lovable lead characters I have ever encountered. Every Zelda fan owes it to themselves to enjoy this wonderful game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3fVFq-R9IM
I would also cautiously say to check out Xenobalde Chronicles and it's upcoming sequel. Although they are RPGs and have a completely different combat system to Zelda the fantastic overworlds and stunning soundtrack will give you that real fantasy explorer type vibe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRGh8Vv7HRE If this video appeals to you then it's 100+ hours of content may well be a wonderful suprise. (I will admit that I took some adjusting to the combat system).
Regarding Wii U games, If you enjoy the dungeons in 3D Zelda games then you may want to try Darksiders 2. The story and characters aren't up there with the other recommendations but it does have some of the best Zelda style dungeons, has a great soundtrack and looks really really pretty.
Although completely different to Zelda in every way the next smash bros would probably be a safe bet if you have internet. The smash bros games feature character, stages and music from the series.
I hope I have helped you find some new experiences.
@TC That depends there are some amazing games like The Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3, but if you are a little low on money right now I'd suggest holding on a while longer. For instance Best Buy will be selling the Wind Waker Deluxe Model bundle for $199.99 during their early bird Black Friday sale so you might want to see if you can get lucky with one of those amazing Black Friday deals. If you aren't struggling financially then I'd say you should take the plunge.
For me, Nintendo plus Sony every generation. I went Nintendo plus Microsoft 7th gen for some odd reason. Will be purchasing a PS3 before I purchase a PS4.
So to answer you question...Yes, buy a Wii U. Life without Nintendo is an empty life (a gamer's life). That's why you see so many people wanting them to go 3rd party. They miss them some Nintendo action!
EDIT: Not to mention, if you missed out on the Wii's library entirely? Hit up Ebay. The Wii has a very underrated library of games.
