I like how he points out that so many companies are "following the same play book." Is that really a positive? Every company offers a product that is functionally the exact same as their rivals. I can't think of anything more unappealing.
I used to be a fanboy, and then Nintendo did the whole YouTube thing and now I can think clearly, because I am no longer a fanboy. Let's face it, Nintendo is probably done with living room hardware. They messed up. They released a console with no advertising and nothing but ports and bad games at launch. I ask my friends about the Wii-U and they give me a dumbfounded look because they have no idea what it is. The specs would have been amazing in 2006, but this is 2013. I think it will turn a profit once they release Zelda and the 3D Mario but they will finish in 3rd in the "Big 3". Nintendo is not on the same level as its fans, they just don't get it. They keep angering their fans and they continue to do nothing about the horrible Library of games. The 3D mario and Zelda should have been finished by launch not almost a year after.
You seem to have quite the chip on your shoulder. Come back after the Wii U has been out for a year and we'll have to see how well your post holds up.
I can almost guarantee my accuracy. Nintendo is failing. When I was a fanboy I didn't want to accept it. I just kept telling myself that they have billions in the bank and they will come back. I hate to say it, but I think they will just be a software company next gen. I think they will make handhelds but no living room consoles. The EA employee is 100% correct, the Wii-U is failing. The concept of Wii-U is cool for like the first month but then it gets boring. They are becoming more like EA everyday. The YouTUbe thing was just the last straw for me.

Taking bets I say in the next 24 hours he will claim his twitter account was hacked or something. But if not then he is allowed a opinion. He is most likely going to get some stick for the next few days but he shouldn't. If that is his opinion on the Wii U then people should accept it.
There's also a difference between expressing your opinion and being an idiot while expressing your opinion. This guy did the latter, and people have lost their jobs doing this.

I should have got the message when they intentionally delayed Need for Speed and announced a Mass Effect trilogy at the same time they were releasing the Wii U version. I honestly regret supporting them.
As for his comment about sales the same thing comes up. Wii U is doing badly but so is Vita. And strangely enough it looks like Vita was one of the other systems they pulled the plug on yet the media fails to mention this.
Is third party support really the best angle the internet has to use against Wii U? Nintendo have proven 5 times in a row they can thrive entirely on their own games. They don't need anybody. Not only that but they haven't even seen if the others can keep third party support. They just assume they can. The bashing behind Wii U would have merit if there were actual facts to back it up but it isn't. Internet reaction is not indicative of the real world.

You obviously haven't got a clue about software development. And if you call NSMBU or NintendoLand "horrible" you haven't got a clue about games either.
