Noire

The first day I played it at 100% until my battery drained and made myself sick.

Today I've been playing at 70% and with it plugged in, and nothing has stopped me yet. o__O

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

It vary's, sometimes after a day at work my eyes seem to struggle with the 3D but other than that I pretty much have it on all the time, unless I'm doing a lot of hectic fighting (I never realised quite how much I moved around while playing a handheld till the 3DS ).The graphics are truly stunning in 3D though. You would never guess this game wasn't originally designed to be played in 3D, there is so many great visual treats from the chickens feathers flying out of the screen , the spinning Spritual stones / medallions and that cut scene when the Deku Tree explains how Hyrule was created! OMG just beautiful I can't wait to fight Ganondorf again and see that amazing ending in 3D. The perfect game ever just got better!! How!!!!????

What's this bit for again?

Wide-open all the time in OoT!

@Waveboy The trailer looks great, but I literally sat stunned for the first ten minutes or so - until my wife told me to shut-up and quit grinning from ear-to-ear - at how beautiful the game is with the 3D slider at Max. Take it down even a hint and it depletes the image (my opinion). This game is simply beautiful and it looks 10x better than the memories you have of the game on the N64.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is like taking the magic of Nintendo, and putting it in a bottle to sail across the cell-shaded seas for 13 years, only to be reopened and found to be aged to an even higher level of perfection; gaming bliss!

Super Mario 64/Majora's Mask next please!

@Slapshot I would like a Majora's Mask 3D, but I never liked that game to be brutally honest... it never felt... fun or interesting like OoT. Super Mario 64 3D would be amazing! Even if it was just for flying around the levels as Mario in a 3D Mario world.

GoldenEye 3D would be good too, okay it was remade for both the Wii and DS, but there's no harm in re-recreating the classic in full 3D now is there? :3

Has anyone else noticed that in particular areas in the game, no matter where your head/DS is positioned you see a ghosting effect? For the most part, the 3D in this game is awesome but it seems like whenever I am in a really dark area (like the black loading areas) I always see 2 of me whether I'm looking straight at the DS or not.

Yea, I've noticed this as well. When going through crawl spaces it's very apparent.

The mild ghosting effect occurs in any 3DS game where there is a very bright object against a very dark background. I've seen it a few times in OoT in dark places, but it's really minor and just looks a it like watching a TV with a few reflections in the background.

However, it gets much better typically if you adjust your position vertically, just a bit. If you're viewing the screen from slightly lower than straight on, the ghosting is much lighter.

Anyhow, I love 3D + gyro controls for looking around. It's like a window to another world.

all you need is steady hands and your good, but if your laying down in bed, and someone next to you is trying to sleep and your moving all over the place trying to get the best visuals its just easier with the 3d off, but in all other places its so fun!

I always keep the 3D on But does anyone else notice that sometimes the 3D seems to randomly flatten out? Like it seems just.. flat, for a second, then it pops back to normal. It's only on certain angles, so camera adjusting I presume?

I want to want to use the 3D, but there's so much ghosting for me, so I tend to play it in 2D. Ah well, the game looks and runs smoother in 2D. I only want to turn it on for the amazing water effects. When you dive down and hold L, the bubbling effect is really great.

DrKarl

I have the 3D slider to the Max all the time.

Had I just purchased the 3DS, I am sure that I would only have it half way up. However, since I have logged countless hours on the launch titles, Pilotwings especially, my eyes are now fully adjusted to the Max 3D setting.

Here is a tip for using motion aiming with the 3D on. Close one eye, just as you would when firing a real slingshot or a bow. Having shot both of these weapons in real life, I can state that it actually improves the immersion.

@DrKarl: That's a really good idea! Then it not only enhances the immersion but also makes it so that the image can't double since you can only see one perspective at a time trough 1 eye. I think I'll try that next time

just tried it! it makes you feel like your actually shooting. and no double image:) thanks for the tip

I noticed that as well — it actually seems to simply be that one of the two "cameras" gets push against a wall or obstacle, so the two viewpoints are basically brought into near-alignment for a moment. I've found certain place where I can make it happen with some regularity. It's very subtle, though; I suspect few players even notice the transition.
