Chris720 commented on Wii U Pro Controller Feels "Amateurish", Say K...:

I'm sure it'll be fine, it'll be good for shooters and RPG's with the "mushy" buttons and it's not designed to be the primary controller anyway... so why care? As long as it works and it does what it's supposed to I see nothing wrong with it.

Also, the closer the buttons are, the better it is for your thumbs. The GamePad won't be good for this because you have a massive screen in the middle... some times a more compact controller is just better for some games.

Why would you want to end the Layton series? I've played every single one and their all amazing! My mum likes playing them too and I think she'll be upset knowing that the Layton games are coming to an unwanted end.

Chris720 commented on Nintendo: There's No Such Thing As Too Much Mario:

The NSMB series is definitely getting very old, very quickly. Also we have two NSMB games in the same year... what the hell for?

Indeed, Mario sells systems and it's a great franchise, but they keep dishing them out too quickly. The 3DS has been out for over a year and it already has two Mario games and nothing from the other series, except for N64 ports...

Chris720 commented on Bayonetta 2 Dev: Wii U Exclusivity Isn't a Snu...:

Yeah and the PS3/360 never got any exclusives that never showed on the Wii.. and the Wii games were always of the same quality as the PS3/360 games.

Sarcasm aside, these fanboys moan for the sake of what? Nintendo is publishing the game which means it can only be shown on a Nintendo console in the first place. We put up with the PS3/360 getting all the best 3rd party games while we were kicked to the side, so now it's our turn to kick them to the side.

Chris720 commented on Review: Fractured Soul (3DS eShop):

Reminds me of Chronos Twins and that game is still unbeaten, having to look at two screens simultaneously is a right pain in the butt! But it's incredibly fun...

I might pick it up if it comes EU side if the price is right, it looks like a nice game. I'd like a demo before buying it though...

Chris720 commented on Nintendo announce Nintendo Network Premium:

Yay or nay? I'm not sure what to make of this... I'm sure the 32GB will be sold out of stock when it hits stores. I'd like the 10% discount, but I'm not sure if it's really worth it or not...

Chris720 commented on Rumour: Nintendo Land May Not be Bundled With ...:

If it's not bundled with the console I don't think Nintendo Land is going to do that well, who wants to pay £40 or so for a few minigames when they could buy the likes of Zombi U? In my opinion I just don't think Nintendo would be stupid enough to sell Nintendo Land and the Wii U separately...

Chris720 commented on Rumour: European Wii U Release Date and Pricin...:

€70? You have to be joking... I'm not paying that amount of money for a game... if the prices for games are going to be anything like that then I'll be waiting a couple years before I even think about going near the Wii U.

I'm hoping that this will be unconfirmed in a few days, come on Nintendo just release the prices and dates already so that we know how much explosives are going into our pockets.

Chris720 commented on Wave Race Trademark Resurfaces:

Seems there's more than one series that's missed the Wii completely... Wave Race and F-Zero. Maybe Nintendo will finally put one of them on the 3DS or Wii U... come on Nintendo, start rebuilding those classic games back up again!

Chris720 commented on Capcom: The Next Gen Doesn't Start With Wii U:

I'd say it is a next gen console, mainly because it's trying something new with the world of gaming. Yes, Apple has Air Play but it isn't cheap nor is it a very mainstream device...

However, the Wii U isn't all that next gen either because it has all the features and needs of a current gen console making it more like a catch up. We'll see how it goes when the next Xbox and PS are released how the Wii U will stand.

Chris720 commented on Talking Point: Miiverse and Social Networking:

Miiverse looks like it'll work perfectly, but I'm hoping they'll stop people trolling and releasing spoilers all over the place - I know it'll most likely be moderated, but it's still a massive online community that will constantly need inspection. This is the one and only thing that really concerns me about Miiverse.

Chris720 commented on Talking Point: Challenges for the Future of Ni...:

@Waltz I forgot to explain what I meant by this sentence didn't I? :P "If an Apple product is your first line of gaming then I think you're an idiot"

What I meant by that was this, if they prefer playing on an Apple product over a Vita or 3DS (if they own one) for their gaming needs then I personally think they're a bit weird. Everyone has their own choice of where and how they receive their entertainment, but when I see people saying that the "iPod experience" outweighs the experience on a dedicated handheld... well y'know... and @ChunkyDroid has helped make my point, nothing can beat playing on a dedicated console, Apple/Android are still useful for those 5-minute games, but in my opinion, that is as far as I would ever take that Apple product.

Also, since when I have been making myself the supreme arbiter? I've just been stating my opinion and you've been stating your opinion. Oh and how are you the only "sane" person on this planet? Get off your high horse and stop thinking you're Mr. "Definitive" and you know best for everyone and that your opinion outweighs everybody else's.

Some times I do agree with some of the statements you make and you can back them up rather well, but I'm pretty sure that just goes to your head and you starting drifting around the stratosphere.

Chris720 commented on Talking Point: Challenges for the Future of Ni...:

@Waltz Okay, yes Apple has a footing in everybody's life somewhere, so developers can easily target them and sell them games. However, I'm personally not a fan of touch screen controls, I like them on the 3DS because they work well and also aren't the main way of controlling the game. The iPod and iPhone both rely on touch control entirely which is alright for some games, but terrible for others - for example, platformers.

If an Apple product is your first line of gaming then I think you're an idiot. The iPod can play games but it will never be a definitive handheld console while Sony and Nintendo are around - it's holding in the gaming market may be large, but when most Apple owners most likely own a 3DS, Vita, Wii, 360 etc. in the first place then Apple's footing in the gaming market is very weak.

Chris720 commented on Talking Point: Challenges for the Future of Ni...:

@Waltzy I personally don't think of Apple as a gaming competitor simply because I find none of the "games" on their App Store appealing to me in any way, shape or form. If I want a true gaming experience I'll choose a Vita or 3DS. However, others, like yourself, enjoy these games.

Just because others don't think the same way as you about Apple doesn't allow you to think they hate Apple products - not everyone will have the same opinion and YOU have to respect that rather than being Mr. High & Mighty and that you know best for everyone.

OMG PEOPLE THINK DIFFERENTLY TO EVERYBODY ELSE, HOLY SHI-!!!

Chris720 commented on Reaction: Nintendo's Steady Start in Retail Do...:

It would've done better if it wasn't so expensive, full price for a game with no cartridge, no box, no artwork and no manual. Really?! I can buy all that for £25.

Downloads need to be on par (or lower) than physical copies. I mean seriously, there is no middle man and no transport needed for the download option, only the development costs.

Oh and I get charged for the middle man, transport and development at £25... yeah... Nintendo, you need to find a new plan and quickly.

Chris720 commented on Nintendo Power Magazine Looks Set to Shut Down:

To be honest though, the internet is quicker at getting to the news while magazines take a month or so before they're released... I'm surprised gaming magazines have lasted this long really. It's a shame when old icons pass but life must go on and we have to change with it.
