Re: Watch Dogs Wii U Release Dates Confirmed

yvanjean

@Cyberbotv2 Well at least $39.99 they're at least making an effort.... let's face it the game will release at $59.99 with statement soon after the release that further support drop from WiiU due to the bad sales figures from Watch Dogs.

Re: Review: Wii Sports Club: Bowling (Wii U eShop)

yvanjean

@MadAussieBloke - You've obviously haven't played the game yet.... it's really much improved over the Wii Sports counterpart (I never played it in Resorts). Unlike the Tennis, who suffers from unresponsive, non-casual friendly controls with a lack luster online mode.

The online in Bowling is a little bare also, I would of like to be able to select the numbers of opponents you play default is 4 online opponents.

Re: Video: Check Out Captain Toad's Contribution To Super Mario 3D World

yvanjean

Wow, just when you though Super Mario 3D World couldn't get any better.

I bet you this is going to be completely optional and just for occasion when you want to take on a slower pace, wind down and play a more puzzle game. This game will focus on thinking and problem solving rather then platforming skills.

Wow Nintendo is bringing out all the gun, just like Super Mario 3D land revived the 3ds. Here Mario to the rescue for WiiU. If only they had a Mario Kart WiiU as a one - two punch... oh wait they do But, that would not be enough to knock it out of the ball park that would probably need a game like Super Smash Brother WiiU.

2014 predictions:
1. EA comes crawling back to WiiU and renews the unprecedented third party support for WiiU.
2. 10 Million WiiU sold worldwide by March 2014.

Re: Talking Point: Regional Online Multiplayer Misses the Point

yvanjean

What the heck??? The international online competition is what make this game worth $9.99. I though this game was in development so long because they were adding a robust online system. Come on Nintendo, get your act together, next-gen start in two week and your online system is two generation old.

Re: Rayman Legends And Splinter Cell Blacklist Both Sold Less Than Expected, Says Ubisoft

yvanjean

Ubisoft is just a large corporation making games with the intent to make a profit. Ubisoft could of build a good relationship with WiiU fan base, did us a solid by delivering us a game we desperately needed back in February. But, instead got greedy and expect us to bend over. I'm going to boycott Rayman Legend till there a price drop or I can find a cheap secondhand copy. I'd rather support Platinum Games, Monolith Soft, 5th Cell and Nintendo. These are the guys that will make games worth buying on the WiiU, expect nothing but lame half donkey port from Ubisoft going forward with some keys features missing when compared to other consoles.
Watch the profanity please — TBD

Re: Pokémon X & Y Pass 1.8 Million Retail Sales to Top Japanese Charts

yvanjean

Why are you guys talking about WiiU on a Pokemon Game release week, obviously any Japanese Nintendo Fan will only be getting Pokemon this week.

Next week shouldn't be any better as all Nintendo Fan will only be playing Pokemon. The October 30th is the important week for WiiU. If they can't break 50k on that week then it's just sad.

Re: Watch_Dogs Pushed Back to Spring 2014

yvanjean

@rjejr Just saying the game is suppose to be release this November, but was delayed to fuel the Xbox One and PS4 sales numbers and to improve the 2014 Ubisoft earning. The WiiU version of the game was initially schedule to release November 12. The WiiU version is complete and ready for release. So, your talk about cancellation of the WiiU version doesn't make any sense. At this point the cost of developing the game on all five console as already been incurred and none of the five version of the game will get cancel.

Re: Watch_Dogs Pushed Back to Spring 2014

yvanjean

@rjejr game development stop at least one month before release date, hence why the delay is announce today, Ubisoft would not be delaying the game because the WiiU version is not ready. But on the other hand all game were near complete because everyone at Ubisoft before todays delay were aiming at a November release. The WiiU game is already playable and probably 99% finished.

This is the same thing as the Rayman Legends delay it's done for financial reason.

Ubisoft to shareholders:
"Our long term goal is to win the next generation. The tough decisions we are taking today to fully realize the major potential of our new creations have an impact on our short-term performance. We are convinced that, longer term, they will prove to be the right decisions both in terms of satisfaction for our fans and in terms of value creation for our shareholders. We are building franchises that will become perennial pillars of Ubisoft’s financial performance. In a context of growing successes for mega-blockbusters, the additional time given to the development of our titles will allow them to fulfill their huge ambitions and thus offer players even more exceptional experiences.

Fueled by strong momentum for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, calendar 2014 will see the return of growth to the console market. Combined with the quality of our line-up and our strong financial situation, this growth will allow us to achieve record operating income in fiscal 2014-15 and 2015-16."

Re: Watch_Dogs Pushed Back to Spring 2014

yvanjean

@rjejr only you!!!! If anything the WiiU version might actually get better. This current delay was done for financial reason. Ubisoft did not want there new IP to get lost in all the shuffle of next gen launch title and current holiday release.
But, I bet the team working on the WiiU version can use the extra time to make the game better on that console.

Re: Watch_Dogs Pushed Back to Spring 2014

yvanjean

Just like that Wii U 2014 line up is look that much better.
DKC Tropical Freeze - February 2014
Mario Kart 8 - March 2014? or Q1
Watch dog - April 2014
Smash Brother (Wii U) - May 2014? or Q2

Re: Nintendo Confirms Three New Wii U Hardware Bundles for Europe

yvanjean

@Shadowkiller97 Once Nintendo start offering some great deals on the eshop, I'm afraid 32 GB will not be enough.
I've already install my 1TB HDD... It was very easy to install. I think other people would feel more comfortable buying a HDD with a Nintendo Logo on it.
On my HHD: I have Zelda Wind Waker HD, Pikmin 3 and Super Luigi U.
I also have Trine 2, Star wars Pinball, Zen pinball, bunch of smaller games.

Apparently Lego City is like 8-10GB, game like that would make the 32 GB insufficient.

Re: Hands On: Pure Chess (Wii U eShop)

yvanjean

Cross platforms actually mean WiiU, 3ds & Smart phones and tablets.

The developer better not screw over WiiU & 3ds owners by offering this game on the Smart phones and tablets at a fraction of the cost.

Re: Hands On: Pure Chess (Wii U eShop)

yvanjean

Here what I would like to see from this game:
1. Classic view.
2. Robust online mode and online leadership board.
3. Imagine this game with online chat and camera view.
4. All of the above options + cross platform with 3ds.

It would be worth 10$ for simple online mode, 20$ if it enable online chat and video.

Re: Video: Want To See Just How Much Better Zelda: Wind Waker Looks In HD?

yvanjean

@Incognito_D

I feel like the new version is much brighter but if you think about it, Link is on Island with bright sun overhead it should be brighter. Beside, WW cartoonist art style was always meant to be this way they weren't going for Batman vibe which would of been colder and darker.

If you look at the dungeon level in the short clip (22sec-25sec), the area as been brighten up but now the focus will be on game play rather then struggling because the area is too dark. They can build tension with music and just the fight you encounter during the exploration of the dungeon. Beside in the gamecube version the lamp from the minion barely as any lighting effect, the new WW HD version add much more realism to the game and the HD make the entire area look so much more crisp and beautiful.

This is actually the very first Zelda HD and it look amazing. I can't wait to see what the new Zelda WiiU will look and play. It's going to be epic.

Re: Video: Want To See Just How Much Better Zelda: Wind Waker Looks In HD?

yvanjean

@SilentHunter382

The Gamecube was standard definition and the new WW HD is in widescreen. In order to match the size they would of had to stretch the Gamecube image which wouldn't of been fair to the original graphic design.

The image size was smaller back on SD, hence why the WW HD is such a great improvement over the original, Just the added viewing angle will make this a much better enjoyment to be played.

Re: Video: Want To See Just How Much Better Zelda: Wind Waker Looks In HD?

yvanjean

@6ch6ris6

That comment just make you look ignorant.

It's like saying "Oh I like my black and white tv, these new color tv's make the image blurry"

Wind Waker HD look amazing and I actually never played much of the original never really dig the art style back in the day. But, I'm ready to put that aside and enjoy this brand new experience for myself.
