Re: Talking Point: 5 Reasons That Nintendo Switch Is Still A Hot Product

thiz-

I am a bit weird. I buy a console when there are interesting games to check out and then sell it. Then rebuy it when a few new games I care for are here... then sell it. I dont like having things sit around that are worth a good amount.

I bought my first Switch for Zelda and Odyssey, my second one for Fire Emblem, Pokemon Sword and this OLED one for AnimalXing, Metroid Dread and Pokemon BDSP/Legends.

I will probably soon sell this OLED too and buy another one when Kirby and Bayonetta are out.

@Meteoroid You are not easy to talk to. There is no reason to change the pace of a game thats over in 3 turns. You draw, you summon your whole extra deck, you win or lose. All matches are decided at third turn unless you play a very very gimmicky deck. This format also exists in real life and no matter if you play real life or in video games, the pace is still "roll you your face from left to right and play 50 cards a turn".

YuGiOh as a whole is an awful game that should be reworked completely. This Rush format is not it. I made a mistake by using the word "professional" in my original comment.

@Meteoroid You are not part of the scene or never been I am assuming? Even at the most casual local events, everyone plays meta. If you dont have the money for meta decks, you dont show up. Rogue decks are also played but the difference is paying 200 or 600 for your cards. The entry point is still pretty high. I am talking about real life play, there is no "endgame". You either pay 600 for your deck or you lose.

Re: Round Up: The Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl Reviews Are In

@Damo That is very interesting. The question then becomes, how much info you are forced to cut away and how much you actually just chose yourself to not include. The review we are talking about is not really a review by any means. I am repeating myself, but it sounds like someone watched a trailer and is writing a very quick critique on the art style they've seen in it. There is almost no substence or deepness apart from that.

And I want to make it clear that I am certainly not just a fanboy, being mad about the rating, I couldnt care less if you gave it a 3 or a 9, I am simply refering to the text itself.

I am not saying spoil people the whole game and tell them every nook and cranny, but you must certainly be allowed to talk about more than one topic.

Maybe another format is required. Something thats going deeper into certain gameplay aspects. If reviews are not allowed to be deep in any kind, maybe articles should be released after a games release talking freely about those aspects.

If that would be a regular thing, everyone could get used to it and know "aha, well this is more like a first impressions, the real thing to give me an idea of what the game can be before launch, while I know there'll be a deeper talk for it a week later". That could fix alot.
