(Update 1: Tue 23rd Nov, 2021 15:15 GMT) In what is a very welcome surprise, the incredible life-size Lucario plush is also going to be available from Pokémon's official stores in the US and Canada.
Pre-orders are available now at $419.99, with shipping expected in April 2022.
Original Article (Fri 19th Nov, 2021 11:30 GMT): When it comes to Pokémon merch, nowhere has it as good as Japan. In the past we've seen a huge Snorlax plush that doubles up as a bed, a fantastic human-sized Metapod cocoon that's perfect for jumping inside and being sad, and now we have a life-size Lucario that can apparently help you do the washing up. It's just not fair.
The Lucario, which measures exactly 1.2m tall (its exact measurement in the official Pokédex), is currently up for pre-order on Pokémon's official Japanese store. They're being made to order for a limited time, but you can only have them shipped to a Japanese address – if you're lucky enough to live in Japan, you can order one now for 46,200 yen (roughly $405 / £302). That's... pricey, but not as expensive as it could have been?
To sell the product, or just melt our hearts, The Pokémon Company has shared the following images of how you might want to spend your time with Lucario. We don't have one, and can't get one, but we're already in love.
Do you know anyone living in Japan? Think you can persuade them to hold onto one of these for you? We might just go ahead and move there, to be honest...

package deal with a tenga on amazon pls
It's very cute, but my house has enough 1.2 meter bipeds in it already.
If Lucarios would exist, that's how they would look. Really awsomely done
It weighs nearly 9lbs too.
That's 110lbs lighter than an average Lucario.
i want it, and i want it now
this right here is how you get furries.
Japan gets the best stuff
@QueenSekhmet umm what was you planning to do to Lucario if you got one 😦
How long before Build-A-Bear makes a Riolu plush? Or even a Lucario? I know Charmander once had a Lucario costume, but it would be nice.
I hope he doesn't end up like those Halloween Pumpkins
@YoshiAngemon
It might come sooner than expected, gen 4 is fresh on everyone's minds with the Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl release.
Pokémon Center Japan has a line of plush dolls for every gen 4 Pokémon launching very soon, from Turtwig to Arceus.
@danzoEX don't ask things you don't want to know.>;3
Some people are going to be a bit TOO happy about this.
...I demand a Lopunny life-size one.
@SmileMan64 I feel like I know why you would want that….. and I don’t wanna know why you would want that 😦
Eccentric and possibly dangerous hermits: 1
Japan’s birthrate: 0
My sister would love this!
But does it Mega Evolve?
Is it strange that this is like the one thing I want right now.
@ryu_san https://www.pokemoncenter.com/product/701-94581/lucario-poke-plush-47-in
usa will get it
it looks fantastic, but if anything was going to start moving in the middle of the night, it might be that.
If anyone wants, it is available at the Pokemon Center's website for America
What I'd really like is a life size Bowser plush! I would spend money on that
Come to europe baby girl, you know you want to.
Pleeeeeeaaaaassssseeeee come to Europe!
what about Europe?
why is it always Japan & US?
I'm going to need a giant jar.
@MsJubilee
Call me when it’s a life size Drampa.
I'll wait till theres a life-size Snorlax
You can always tell a Milford man.
Creepy but still kind of cool? I do wonder who buys these, and how they fit them in their houses. Overall though, I’m glad things like this exist!!
No lucario the poki puff aren’t ready yet!
I feel like it would scare a burglar. Just have it sit casually facing the door. Maybe make its eyes glow.
£360? ahaha no thanks. I payed €170 each for 2 Gigantamax Eevee Plushies and I thought that was expensive. I would be lying though if I said I wasn't tempted because I am.
That image of it peeking out from behind the door still absolutely kills me.
This is amazing, I offered to get a friend a life sized Pokémon for a present knowing they were just available in Japan as a joke but now I may have to actually buy one!
I've said it before, I want a life size Wailord.
Who says money can't buy love?
That lady in the final photo looks like the coziest person on earth.
(spits out coffee) ppppppffffft!!!! OVER 400 DOLLARS!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!
I guess I can always ask Welsh expat Connor Colquhoun, a.k.a., CDawgVA, who lives in Japan. If he's always sending Ironmouse Cinnamorolls, why not send me a Lucario?
I joke, of course.
