the review missed 2 ways to earn extra diamonds. about half the miis I save in a stage give out a diamond as a reward, and when you buy 3000 diamonds you're given a diamond mine which gives out 20 diamonds every day.
the eon ticket is actually the first key item event I think was done right. giving players the ability to redistribute it allows everyone to get it, while still making it special because you have to encounter someone who got it.
I too live in a bad streetpass area, but I did manage to catch an eon ticket streetpass.
could you perhaps start including links to the videos? with multiple images or videos on the page the videos sometimes refuse to play. the same sometimes happens on smartphones, and if the video doesn't play there's no way to get to the youtube page.
@treeofmana it's irrelevant whether the EULA is legally binding or not. if you break a law, you can be taken to court. if you break a EULA you can be denied service. banning someone from online play is a form of denying service.
@WaveyChristmas I have an old XL and a standard size n3DS. I don't get the 6th brightness level on my XL either, but the n3DS looks brighter on 5 than the XL. I tried on/off charger and with or without power saving on both an old XL and a small n3DS, neither showed any brightness changes.
@WaveyChristmas there's no 6th brightness setting, but the 5th setting is already very bright. I currently use setting 2/auto which adjusts good enough for every situation.
@WaveyChristmas it takes less than half a second to restore proper 3D, and only if you tilt your head so far it's impossible for the camera to see both your eyes.
this behaviour is unavoidable with any eye tracking 3D, and is hardly an issue because it takes as long as that to find the sweetspot again with ss3d off.
@chiefeagle02 youtube app is the same waste of space as on the original 3DS. the website works far better, with HQ and 3D support.
another nice thing they skipped: i just watched this video through the nintendolife website on my n3DS, while i have a game suspended in the background.
yes, you can pause your game and watch a video walkthrough on your n3DS to see how to continue.
the info about hordes isn't exactly accurate. hordes work like double battles, most attacks target only 1 opponent but large attacks like surf, razor leaf, and earthquake hit all opponents. a fun detail about hordes is that if rival pokemon appear together in 1 horde they will fight among themselves too(like a seviper among zangoose)
i'm a bit annoyed that i can't use my sitting duck or flying sword in sky battles. they can both fly.
pikachu is rare, and can be caught in viridian forest, just like in R/B/Y(not the real name, but when you get there you'll understand why i call it that)
nomeacuerdo: the games will differ in features/modes. the plan is actually to make the 2 games work together. supposedly the handheld version will feature some customization options the console version won't have, but which can be transferred if you own both versions. and no doubt they will add some extra game and multiplayer modes to the console version.
I just got it, but they could just as well have released it as DSiWare. it doesn't support 3D or widescreen. the entire game runs in 2D mode, graphics are nowhere near as good as the psp luxor, everything is tiny, and there are 40 pixel wide pillars on the screen at all times, effectively making the width of the main game screen the same as that of the bottom screen. oh and the controls feel awkward. move: circle pad/touch screen shoot: L/R swap colors: every other button this while all previous handheld luxor games had the confirm button(cross/A) for shooting and the cancel button(circle/B) for swapping colors, and you can no longer move with buttons.
yet again they silently delay this game. there's absolutely no news about the eshop release, and the retail release seems to have been pushed back to September.

Re: Battery Manufacturer Mugen Reveals Bigger Battery for New Nintendo 3DS and XL
@brewsky it wasn't officially removable, and removing the battery would break streetpassing.
Re: Learn With Pokémon: Typing Adventure Now Costs as Much as a Posh Sandwich on Amazon UK
the game also comes with a stand that doubles as a protective case for 1 game.
and just the keyboard would be worth 3-4 times as much as that discounted price.

I already assumed it would be the same, because of the planned connectivity between the 2 versions.
