@SLIGEACH_EIRE haha, correct me if I am wrong but you do not own a Switch, right? Why do you care if the game is released on Switch post other platforms? You will be late to the party anyway!
This is amazing. I love the game and really hope for a second part post DLC. Hopefully, with online multiplayer!! I am missing online strategy games on the switch.
@GravyThief oh alright, I thought you were hoping for a discount pre holidays! My bad, sorry! A discount next year sounds a lot more realistic. If you can (or have to) wait for that long, fair enough!
@FX102A I have played probably for a similar time or a little more. I am at about 40% of the story and I had one crash.
So, not a big issue in my eyes. Not enough of an issue to miss out on this seriously amazing game. Love the graphics, the style, the humour, the strategy piece, the exploring piece. Well rounded game!
@GravyThief I would be very surprised if they lowered the price any time soon. Why would you lower the price of a product that is still selling everywhere like hot potatoes? They even said that they are not making any promises on available stock for Christmas if I interpreted the news headline correctly (didn't read the article). However, there are and have been lots of promos... gameseek did a 200£ deal recently for a very few lucky people. Tesco direct often has reductions via codes on electronics (I got like 30£ off by buying stuff over Tesco direct). In the US, there were codes through Amazon on electronics. You could look into Amazon prime and get it delivered through prime now where I believe you get a code for your first purchase. You have to check but I think the switch is now on prime now at least in gray I think to remember. So if you want and spend sometime researching you can get cool deals. I also bought Mario + Rabbids, Mario Odyssee as well as Dragonball Xenoverse 2 for 25£ each. So you can save on the games side as well.
This game is an amazing addition to the existing line up of games. It's a wonderful singleplayer game which offers a well-designed world with lots of collectibles which make you replay levels and make you want to explore every single corner of the worlds. The jokes are quite funny, the style is great and the music is adding a nice relaxing atmosphere to it. The levels have a good learning curve. This game is a great singleplayer game post Zelda in my opinion. It's also perfect to relax after the odd, quite fast-paced Splatoon session. I say this even though I have never really played a proper Mario game before nor am I a huge rabbids fan. If it had online multiplayer of some sort it would be perfect. Great to see it in 2nd place!
@Maxz Hi, I would be interested! I am not that highly ranked, mainly because I have played more salmon run and turf war. I am level 27 and A-, B, A. I am profreshional in Salmon Run. Happy to try league mode or so to check if we match?! Let me know!
I am new to Splatoon and I love the variety of this game... all the clothes, all the abilities, all the weapons and subs/specials. You can basically play any way you like. I would love new maps as well!
PS: what do you use this point sensor for? I don't see myself using this in any situation?
@Dang69 I have been playing a few levels by myself and I can confirm it's fun. The commentary of the guy and the AI does make me giggle every once in a while. Also, they kind of explain what this is all about and what you are seeing on the screen in small bits and pieces in their conversation. So you want to continue to get to know more about the story. Also sometimes the left stick is the blue robot, sometimes it's the red one. It constantly makes you rearrange the controls in your head. I died a couple of times just because of that. I have to say it's great fun and keeps me playing.... it's a typical "just one more level..." kind of game. Great!!
Update: I just tried the party mode. You can even play this mode by yourself. You activate the different robots by holding down the shoulder buttons... so I would not mind playing through the story mode and then the party mode by myself. It gets more and more complex and makes your brain smoke while still rewarding you constantly as the levels are completed fairly quickly (at least the first 20).
Did I understand right that I am not able to play split screen online or offline matches on one console with a friend who doesn't own a switch or the game?
I have to admit that I love the visuals of many PS4 games. However, I love a great story or concept more than amazing graphics. I loved playing Walking Dead season 1 on my very old MacBook Pro. The graphics... not great... comic visuals. However, the mechanics and the story was amazing. As long as Nintendo follows this way - like it did with BOTW - I am fine with less power. They should just take out effects and give us the bare minimum game for less than the PS4 or Xbox version. Then it's our choice to pay for the PS4 full package or the portable version with worse visuals.
Has someone else lags in the starting sequences (Sumo digital clip and unreal engine clip)? On my switch it does not go through the clips fluently - there are stutters at the beginning of the sumo clip and the unreal clip stops before it's finished - and I wonder if it's the game or my switch is defective?

Re: Review: Unbox: Newbie's Adventure (Switch)
@shani I think I saw something around 25£. So quite expensive. I rather buy one of the other top rated indie games which all are between 10£ and 16£.
