While I like the option of key cards over digital only... I will only buy the physical games that are contained on the actual cartridge... so pretty much just nintendo first party then... its a odd choice with so many games you have to download with very little memory and the 1tb memory card i have wont work on it because it's not an express... so that's awesome!
Investing in themselves is a great idea, and it's what nintendo have been doing for years, they do have some of the greatest ips and talent, I'm also glad that they won't rule out future acquisitions and also wont compete directly buying out publishers willynilly and start bidding wars that they may not be able win as sony and Microsoft can throw larger amounts of money around, but I do fear that if capcom, sega, namco all get bought up by sony or Microsoft and nintendo not having access to the classics (Street Fighter, sonic, pacman) or any new version of a certain companies game will definitely hurt nintendo in the long run especially when partnerships and associations may no longer be possible...
I've always wanted Nintendo to acquire capcom as the history, ip and developers are amazing and with a watchful Nintendo eye the games could be even better on both sides, same with namco which Nintendo tried to acquire before, As always once a developer has been purchased it is extremely unlikely we would see their games on another console, it's not impossible but because capcom has games that go back to the nes the library is massive and as a Nintendo exclusive, Nintendo would benefit and would be stronger! It could buy ips from konami as it has licensed them off of konami before and if konami want to sell then I would actively pursue them (Hudsonsoft properties also) Platinum games would be awesome as they have some talented developers and could be another monolithsoft for Nintendo Koei techmo would be another good buy as they co own the project zero series with them, The worry is there are so many dormant ips that Nintendo dont use and I think they need to buy a studio full of talent to compliment them and help get quality games out and make full use of their ips
Liked this one better than the last partner showcase... looking forward to puyo tetris 2 but was hoping it would of added columns to the puyo and tetris sequel!
We had this at Segaworld in Bournemouth in 93/94 it was shipped back to Japan and I only got to play it a handful of times, would really like to play this again, but dont know how playing it without a trackball would work, but if anyone could do it justice I'm pretty sure its m2!
Actions speak louder than words.... but they have a library of amazing games from the past and present that I would be willing to part with my cash for, all they have to do is port and provide it!
Got my switch at launch and mostly use docked only, never dropped or had anything fall on it and upon inspection there is a crack by the top vent which doesnt hinder anything but it annoys me now I know that it's there!
Kind of want to play this... curious about how it feels in comparison to the other rayman games and how it changed when they changed development to playstation and saturn!
@ECMIM ahh I see... I'm still thinking about how things would of been if nintendo weren't blocked by the Japanese government from buying namco.. I know stocks and shares change on a whim in either direction but if capcom is worth roughly 1.5 billion and nintendo just added 2 billion in value from a capcom port anouncement I would be doing everything I could to aquire them! ( I know it's never that simple and purely wishful thinking on my behalf) but nintendo would gain a studio with a game library that goes back to the nes days and ip that could be exclusive and when anounced could potentially lead to stocks rising further?
I liked the wii u fifa 13.. the substitutions and formations being able to be toggled whilst in play was a good feature, I preferred it over the ps3 version although I may be in the minority with that, I'm just hoping that it won't be a half arsed effort
What is stopping nintendo buying capcom? The benefits for nintendo would be amazing in the short and long term? Think all exclusive content and back catalogue, didn't capcom take all the clauses out to be open to a buyout?
That would be awesome... i love rocket league on the ps4 with the delorean and batmobile! imagine the nintendo themed car possibilities... mario kart, fzero rocket powered greatness with portability!
I would of liked a starwars battlefront port from launch.. or anything starwars related, dead space trilogy would of been cool, to be fair anything from ea would of been nice but I don't expect anything other than fifa unless nintendo money hats a game for the switch from ea
I will probably get Bomberman and 1,2 switch but a lower price would help the decision.. even though I will most probably pay the high launch price for them along with zelda
I just hope that nintendo use that money to aquire a developer such as 'capcom' or uses it to fund exclusive games such as bayonetta 3 or throw money at Konami for use or purchase of ip such as Bomberman, because the nx needs to have a variety of different games to be successful!
nintendo is in a spot of trouble....it cant be fixed overnight but it can be fixed, they need to farm out their dormant ip's to developers who can help increase the quality game library, throw money at them for exclusives and possibly acquire a couple of game studios that can help them make games that appeal to everyone in areas that are lacking (sports, fps, racing other than mariokart) they just need to keep making games that make people that own a wii u rush out and buy it and people who dont already have the console put it on the list of next purchases and be the reason for buying the console (i believe that mariokart and smash will go along way towards doing this) but we dont really know what nintendo have in store in the future after the 4 or so big relases... i just hope they keep making the quality games and they dont panic and anounce a successor to the wii u for the next couple of years at least or the wii u could very well damage the next console like the saturn did to the dreamcast.
It is an amazing game... the closest a non nintendo made game has come to being nintendo like.. enjoyable from start to finish and quite rightly best experienced on a nintendo console!
i genuinely believe that nintendo has been hit with a serious case of bad luck, from releasing the wii u and not being able to get the games out for it quick enough to capitalize on the year head start on the ps4 and the x1, to ignoring the importance of 3rd party publishers and how helpful it would of been to have games releasing whilst nintendo were struggling with the transition to hd gaming. nintendo just need to keep doing what it has done best since the days of the nes and thats continue to make amazing games and the people will play!
daytona usa 1 and 2, scud race, jet set radio, manx tt and fighting vipers as 3d classics or on vc, i would be pretty happy if they would happen to find themselves on a nintendo platform!
