Re: Nintendo Still Has More To Share On Switch Online Before Launch

sashj

I sure as hell would hope they have more to reveal considering they have 10 more games to announce for the online classics and they haven't told us how they will be handling the membership perks. I wouldn't be surprised if they announce console voice chat that is behind a pay wall as well considering they did it with backup saves.

Re: Nintendo Still Confident It Can Ship 20 Million Switch Consoles This Financial Year

Who said anything about deliberately overinflating sales? That’s not what they are doing. Imo they are just trying to damage control by saying they stand by their earlier projections of 20 mil in 2018.

In response to your claim that the Nintendo library will look very appealing to the gamers looking for a new console at Christmas. You fail to realize that nearly the entire Nintendo library can be found on the PS4. The only thing you won’t find is the Nintendo exclusives and maybe a few mediocre exclusive titles. Unless your a huge Nintendo fan, or want your games to be portable, people will most likely buy a ps4. So yes, the holiday sales will be heavily influenced by the Pokémon and Smash titles. The rest is just gravy.

I don't think Nintendo thinks they will make 20 mil sales in 2018. I think they are just saying they are confident to keep themselves from losing more investors. The lineup between now and march 2019 is just way too weak. The new Pokemon games are not being welcomed as well as a normal Pokemon game would be (people not happy with Go play style), smash is great but also not being welcomed like a normal smash game would be (being called a port). All the other games just don't make nearly as many sales. The only way this console will make those kinds of sales, is if they have some major announcements like Animal Crossing coming up for release in the next half of the year as well. I think we have seen all of the major releases that are coming though, anything else will be smaller. Even the game this supposed to come out this month from Panic Button is supposed to be a port. Ports are great, but they don't sell consoles.

Re: Ubisoft CEO Believes Future Of Games Industry Is Streaming, With Potential To Reach 5 Billion Players In Ten Years

Theres only one company that is perfectly set up to accomplish this, and that is Microsofts Xbox. They have the best services available and they just get better and better. Sony has a great console with more exclusives, but thats basically it, they have nothing good setup for the future imo. Microsoft is also buying out developers to add to their roster. Thats why I think the Xbox will dominate the next gen of consoles.

Re: Splatoon 2 Developers Aren’t Planning More Single Player Expansions

sashj

@HappyRusevDay Either you never actually bought the game and your just trying to fanboy on the PS4 or your really not very smart. Next time, instead of purchasing the same game twice and being disappointed that it doesn't have the features you want, maybe check to see what the features are beforehand? You will save yourself a lot of money.

Re: Splatoon 2 Developers Aren’t Planning More Single Player Expansions

I would like to see more customization options for hairstyles, weapons, and gear.

I also wouldn't mind seeing some premium turf packs that players can invite friends to play on.

I also wish they would make new kinds of turf battles available with different rules or something or different challenges like Salmon Run. Maybe even a co-op boss challenge that has a difficulty that is based on how many players join.

There are so many option, but more content is very welcome!

Re: Shots Are Fired In This New Minecraft Cross-Play Trailer

@Ralizah They will care when Micrsoft takes Sony's crown and dominates sales next gen. The only reason PS4 is now in the lead is because of exclusives, but now that Microsoft is buying out all sorts of major devs, Sony wont be getting as many of those next gen. Sony is basically burning its bridges. If they don't deliver the top console net gen, they wont even have the option to cross-play, cause god knows Nintendo and Microsoft with stick it to them.

Re: Exploring The Legalities Of Sony's Fortnite Restrictions On Nintendo Switch

sashj

Its very clear that Sony is simply doing this to make sure that they keep those PS4's selling like hotcakes. They obviously don't want people going to other consoles and want them on a leash and stuck to the PS4.

This is the problem with that though, by doing these anti consumer practices, they are making their player base question whether or not sticking with Sony in the future is the right choice. The other thing that they are doing is making any kind of possible cross-platform features very unlikely in the future. If Sony doesn't have the best console next gen, they will be in some serious trouble. Microsoft didn't do well because of the features they tried to push on its consumers. Since then they have back-pedalled on those features and made some extremely welcomed ones. Microsoft is also buying out a lot of great developer teams showing future exclusives will be a huge thing. Microsoft services are also amazing compared to Sony average at best services.

Sony is really pushing it, this could all blow up in their faces next gen.

Re: Here's How Voice Chat Works In Fortnite On Nintendo Switch

sashj

I think this confirms voice chat coming with the online subscription. I bet you any money that is why they still only have 1 game that connects to their Nintendo App. I also bet that when the subscription becomes available we will see an entire switch update with new party options and friend options integrated into the console. It just doesn't make ANY sense that Nintendo would not use this feature in any way. Just watch, they will figure out a way to make it a part of the subscription model. I bet you any money, they are making their own headset that will be required for this to work later on.

Re: Nintendo's Share Price Sees Dramatic Rise After Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee Reveals

sashj

@KcebEnyaw No clue, according to them the games aren't even finished yet. They haven't finalized a couple of last minute features including the levelling system. Theirs a lot of stuff they still haven't unveiled yet too. Apparently their is more Pokemon GO features to be shown and their is also a feature that they say will really get Pokemon GO fans interested in the games.

Re: Nintendo Announces Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu! and Let’s Go Eevee! For Nintendo Switch

sashj

@Yorumi Who said anything about unlimited resources? Gamefreak themselves stated that the games being released in 2019 have been in development for more than a year already. They were also the ones who mentioned that they have multiple teams working on multiple games at the same time. They have a junior team that works are simple projects and a senior team that works on more complex projects. Junior team is made of newer employees and senior team is made of employees with a high amount of experience. Its really not that hard to grasp.

Re: Nintendo Announces Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu! and Let’s Go Eevee! For Nintendo Switch

sashj

@Saego Its because they are trying to focus more on the multiplayer aspects of the games. It makes no sense to have a social app connect to a game that is anti-social. If they made will pokemon battles in the games then people wouldn't bother to play with other gamers. By cutting out the battles with wild pokemon, people will need to battle with others to get their battling fix.

Re: Nintendo And Game Freak's Latest Patent Hints At A New Direction For Pokémon On Switch

sashj

Here is what I am hoping for, but probably wont happen. I am hoping that Pokemon Amiibo cards are added to the game, BUT in a different way from what everyone else would expect. No the Pokemon Amiibo cards would not be able to unlock rare or unseen Pokemon in the game for you to find. Instead the Pokemon TCG will be a card game you can play inside the Pokemon game just like how you can play a card game in the Witcher series. You will be able to collect these cards either in the game or by buying a set from Nintendo. Buying a set from Nintendo could come with additional Amiibo functions, like getting customization items for your trainer in the game. The Pokemon TCG game could also be played as an online feature between trainers when you connect with other trainers at a specific location in the game. I dunno, just my take on what I would love to see.
