I bought Metal Gear 3 as soon as it was released on the EU eshop. It did look very washed out. This update fixes the colors and they now look much more vibrant. A very quick turn around on that update.
It looks super sleek, the gimmick is actually awesome and differentiates it from the other consoles in a very clever way. People can still play it like a normal console with a normal controller, or on the go with a (assuming) normal controller, or on the go/couch with joycon. It's like what Iwata said; Wii U swallowed by Switch (with help from Kirby) and out comes a really nice hybrid machine. This is perfect for me, for my family... my friends... impromtu multiplayer anywhere.
Just hoping it will get lots of third party support. This could be a return to form for Ninty.
It might be late, but it's a good sign for Nintendos future I think. Minecraft might be a fad, but in the end having it on the Wii U is a positive thing I think. For those who champion the PC-version (which is indeed better) and forget the console versions; the console versions support 4-player splitscreen gaming which is great for families. I play Minecraft with my daughter on my ps3 - when I play with friends I'll play the PC-version.
Used to play this at a theme park about one hours drive from my home. It was the sitdown version, some type of chair + helicopter controls. If I remember correctly the chair would swivel as well. Played that game sooo much. Might try it again on my 3DS
One of my favorite Amiga-games of all time. I used to play this so much back in the day. Recently I have been playing the enhanced version for my iphone/ipad and it looks stunning with the graphical overhaul BUT the controls are sluggish. So I applaud porting this to consoles with real buttons. I will probably get the Wii U version over the 3DS. In the smartphone-version you could swipe between the original gfx and the enhanced.
Some said you can rush through the game rather quickly, which is true, but it won't happen on your first playthrough of it. It really is a step into Another World.
Being a swede, this is great news. I was a bit upset when I thought I wouldn't get any game at all. I also feel sorry for the people in the US with less games to pick from. Anyway, good news!
So freakin' hard to pick. So many awesome gaming experiences this year. 3D world, ALBW, Pikmin 3, Ye New Wind Waker HD, New Leaf, Wonderful 101, Need For Speed - gaaah. I purchased my Wii U late (early july) and my 3DS was the ALBW bundle; but I have had a hard time keeping up with all the awesome games. Games that focus on gameplay and control. I can't wait for 2014.
I game on my Wii U and 3DS except for two (well three) games: Minecraft and Left 4 Dead 1/2. So I would love to see Minecraft on the Wii U. Wonderful if it would support crossplay on PC-servers but alas, that will probably not happen.
@KevTastic84 Sadly no friends of my mine own a 3DS. I'll get it digitally so the cover won't make a difference for me either. Have a few other games on my want-list that I wanna get first.
Been thinking of getting X or Y (which one?) but online play will be my only option; so the cheats some people are using is off-putting. Hopefully this pans out well.
I find this odd. I remember how things were here in Sweden growing up; games would be released years after JP and US. Now some releases actually come out in EU first. I kinda understand disc/card games, but digital games. They should be the same for every "region", and more of them. Get up to speed Ninty. Nowadays there are no regions when it comes to digital - there is one huge - it's called the internet.
I love it. I find myself smiling as I explore the levels. One of the few games my gf wants to play and even initiates by asking if I want to play. My console GOTY, handheld GOTY is ALBW.
I read about this game when it hit the older consoles. It sure looks like and seems to play like Turrican; that's a good thing imho. Those sprites! Almost makes me cry with bittersweet nostalgia So many awesome indie/crowdfunded games potentially hitting Wii U. Good times.
I have played Minecraft on PC since it went beta. I have played many many hours. I have the 360 version and it isn't as fun because of the UI. Minecraft would be a perfect fit for the gamepad. As people have mentioned; crafting, map and hotkeys. Voice chat, text chat on the pad etc. I really hope Nintendo will reach out to Mojang.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Game Cards Limited To 16GB Size
Even though this article is tagged as a rumor the headline should be changed. The tweet mentions standard size not maximum or limited to.
Re: Nintendo Switch to Reportedly Use USB-C for Charging, But Dock May Not Support External Hard Drives
With an USB-C connector the port can potentially charge, send/receive usb2/3 AND hdmi/displayport out.

Re: Ice Station Z Is Bringing Open World Zombie Horror To The 3DS This November
I agree, it would've been awesome with more of a Thing vibe.
The game will launch November 3rd in NA and EU according to the dev. The price point was already posted in a previous comment.
Re: Dual Core Has Just Gotten a Significant Update in North America
@akaDv8R cool, thanks for the heads up. I'll get it so I can jump between twin-stick shooting and Splatoon for those rainy days.
Re: Dual Core Has Just Gotten a Significant Update in North America
@MitchVogel right, I haven't bought the game. I'm planning on getting it either way - but off-tv play would be sweet.
Re: Dual Core Has Just Gotten a Significant Update in North America
I am guessing the patch will be rolled out in Europe too?
Re: Digger Dan DX Dispute Settled, Will Be Back On Sale "As Soon As Possible"

I must get Splatoon!! It looks like so much fun.
Re: Splatoon Global Testfire Demo Confirmed For This Weekend
Nintendo, Nintendo, Nintendo. If they wanted to stress test the servers they would have offered 24 hours - up to a week. This is just pathetic.
Re: Review: 3D Fantasy Zone II (3DS eShop)
Spot on review and I gotta say, the most fun I am having on my 3DS at the moment. Link Loop Land is an awesome score attack mode.

Re: 3DS System Update Adds Nintendo Network ID, Miiverse and Unified eShop Funds
Finally I got in! 3DS eshop works but it is slow for me.
Re: 3DS System Update Adds Nintendo Network ID, Miiverse and Unified eShop Funds
Yeah I can't enter eshop on my 3DS or on my Wii U. Too much traffic or they have temporarily closed the eshop like someone above speculated.
