Some of you may remember Dual Core, a futuristic twin-stick shooter that launched a couple months back. We thought it was a pretty good time, praising the variety of modes and the couch co-op action. Of course, it's not without its flaws, but Gray Fin Studios aimed to combat some of these by submitting a patch to NOA about a month ago.
We recently received word from the developer that the patch just went live and it seems to add a few significant extra features to the game. The headlining feature here is Off-TV play support, so you can play it on your GamePad if you wish. Additionally, there are new character upgrade options in the form of speed/agility stats, and a number of bugs have also been squashed. The developer stated that they're hard at work on another update, though there aren't any details as to what will be added next.
What do you think? Did you enjoy Dual Core? What would you like to see in the next update? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Been meaning to get this game. Love me some twin stick shooters and this looks cool from the videos. Looks a little slow paced for a twin stick honestly, but the multiplayer will hopefully make up for it.....
I thought this was a very enjoyable game. I am hoping for some sort of expansion.
yes new updates i can use but i might not use the speed as much when playing in a group but i do very much hope for off tv play to allow tv and controller up at same time.
I am guessing the patch will be rolled out in Europe too?
@rixard Not sure. My understanding is that you guys already got the game with this in it, didn't it just launch a week or two ago?
@MitchVogel right, I haven't bought the game. I'm planning on getting it either way - but off-tv play would be sweet.
This looks like a good time, don't know how I missed this.
@rixard Europe got the game last week I think it was, and we got the UPDATED version.
I have been playing the game soley on the Game Pad, and am enjoying it a great deal. I hope they release some add-on DLC with new levels, characters and possibly some mote game modes.
All in all, a fantastic game, and the pricing is about right.
@akaDv8R cool, thanks for the heads up. I'll get it so I can jump between twin-stick shooting and Splatoon for those rainy days.
Cool,I have to remember to put this on my wish list, for when I clear some backlogs.
