y'all are doing Nintendo proud with all this damage control. Reminds me of the Funzo episode from the Simpsons when everyone in Springfield is fighting to be the first one to buy the toy and the toy executives are watching security footage, goading on the rioters.
"Only 22 seconds from muttering to door smash. That projects to a profit of $370 million!"
"I'd still sleep a little easier if I saw some trampling."
@Kit Indeed, adding a cooking part or two can add hearts to elixirs. I use mushrooms in my elixirs all the time. Seems like an obvious ingredient in potions
@Anti-Matter Yep, I got a something I think was called "barely edible" and it was pixelated as opposed to a full color picture of the dish. I had mixed too many cooking parts with elixirs bits
YES! One of my first comments on this site was my desire for mature games like Kingdom. Despite the art style, it's not your typical 8 bit throwback title. I had tons of fun with it on PC and I hope to see more titles along the lines of this game.
I haven't enjoyed a Zelda game since Wind Waker so hopefully changing up the same old formula by making it open world and minecraft-like will give me more incentive to play.
This is bad, any way you slice it. They either cut content or are going to spend more time working on this game when they could be working on the next Zelda, or a new IP.
I wouldn't have a problem with this if hard mode wasn't locked behind a pay wall. I don't care if it's an extra hard mode (not confirmed anywhere) it should be on the disc. The only acceptable barrier between the player and a higher difficulty setting should completion of the game on normal settings.
I'm so glad that Nintendo provided a good sized hard drive to accommodate these modern business practices. Isn't BotW supposed to take up half the internal storage?
@3MonthBeef Calling other people "kids" and proudly trumpeting false equivalencies is a great way to expose yourself as the true online juvenile. Private photos and system specs are at opposite ends of the spectrum. All the leaked Switch info would have been made public in a couple weeks when the system launches. You and every other fanboy are being drama queens.
Is Nintendo building a game machine or a time machine? A lot of these Switch titles are from 2 gens ago! I'm glad I've got disposable income to spend on the Switch or else I wouldn't be able to justify such a big purchase for so few truly must-have games.
Looks exactly like an Xbone controller, which isn't bad in my eyes since Microsoft has the best controller design this gen (by default, Sony fumbled with obsolete touchpad and frustratingly flat option/share buttons). I just wish this was a pack-in over the grips.
I don't use apps or multimedia features on my xbox or ps4, as my desktop PC is attached to my TV, but I could definitely see myself using them on the go when I've grown tired of gaming during a long commute. Something as simple as an ebook reader would be awesome. Tablets and the like are a waste of money because they don't offer enough bang for my buck, but next gen gaming + ebooks, videos and music would get a purchase from me. As it stands, the Switchs' game offerings are slim, with Zelda being the only title worthy of its high price tag. I was going to grab one sometime around launch but the lack of high quality games and missing portable features is a major turn off.
@capitalism Great parenting. And they say Betsy Devos is going to hurt the childrens future. Parents have been doing a fine job of runing their children long before Betsy Devos
@Ralizah We're in the age where the consumer dictates when they consume media dum dum, and this demo schedule is inconvenient for many early adopters. No amount of snarky comment will change that fact.
@Randomlight Microsoft was smart enough to change up the Xbone functionality after online backlash. Hopefully, Nintendo listens and finds some way to implement tablet features at, or soon after, launch.
@Paddle1 I'm one of those customers. I've been wanting an ipad type device for e-books and watching videos, but I find the prices too high for something that I would only be using on the 20 minute commute to work. I would believe all this talk about selling more than the Wii if the Switch had has much functionality as a standard tablet on top of next gen Nintendo gaming.
Nintendo makes a console that can be played anywhere but leaves out web browser and app functionality, which is necessary to login to 90% of public wifi hotspots. I'm at the airport on a two hour layover with Mario kart Deluxe in my switch, but I can only play against the CPU because airports require a browser (or something similar). How did they miss this? Am I wrong? The only places that I can think of without this restriction are local shops and smaller malls.

@Anti-Matter What a great little nazi you're turning out to be. Your comments are worse than sligreach, who isn't even bad at all.
Re: Guide: The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild's Captured Memory Locations
Merci buckets for this. the whole camera aspect of the game feels like a chore. I groaned when my final rune slot was filled by the snapchat app

Re: Video: See Sonic Forces At Its Best in Official Gameplay Footage
Sonic in 3D has always been crap. I really can't believe that people buy these disjointed messes.

These don't look good. The obsession indy devs have with super nintendo graphics and flash game art style needs to end.

Re: Talking Point: Lack of Nintendo Switch Details Close to Launch Made Wobbly Cam 'Leaks' Inevitable
It's unlikely that nintendo leaked the footage because they forced the leaker to return the Switch (no refund or assurance that he'd get a new console either): http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=230565117#post230565117
