@Lizuka exactly. And generally NiS of America usually publishes fantastic physically collector editions of what they do publish. Usually with CDs, which in many cases is the only way to get the soundtracks. There are a few exceptions but by far they tend to prefer physical. Which I can see that stopping...
@retro_player_22 NiS really doesn’t put out triple A games though. They really never have, Disgaea has always been niche. What they do do is publish a lot of AA in the west that otherwise would never see the light of day. I think Disgaea is their biggest in house. However if you care so much the recent LapisxLaybrinth will be released and that’s classic NIS. I actually think NiS does better on the west with publishing... I really hope Alliance. Alive remastered gets published.
@CaPPa Nintendo knows how, they just don’t seem to like the feature or it’s an after thought that they think no one wants. I say this because Gen 6 pokemon had the PSS feature and voice chat, and they ripped it out with Gen 7.
@Crono1973 they are Tactical RPGs considered RPGs at their core. That’s where people look for them. And unless they are making separate list for strategy/tactical RPGs, which I doubt. It does harm to separate them because no one would find them. They are smaller subset of RPGs. Where would you put them?
I don’t know why they compared the pro vs the Switch as opposed to the base PS4 vs Switch. I mean I’m sure it’s matter of what they had, but it’s not a good comparison.
Here’s hoping Digital Foundry does one using bass PS4
@Hikingguy and me pointing out that you don’t have to import a controller from Japan equates to you getting upset at me? Nintendolife was suggesting importing it in the post, I said you don’t have to and you go off on me !?!
It’s one game. Don’t complain, don’t buy. It speaks volumes louder.
@Hikingguy You know because the pro controller is included with every Switch. And while we’re at this my older sister only had the three button controller for her genesis. I remember my childhood quite well thanks.
@retro_player_22 and they sucks for SF, but the system is really about high-lighting those games that haven’t gotten much love in a long time. The games we remember from our childhoods. People can be upset for SF, fine that’s fair but there are better options if that’s the game you want to play.
@BanjoPickles Official Licensed 6 Button Retro Bit controllers will work with the Sega Mini. It’s confirmed through the website but also RGT 85’s channel as well.
The whole micro transactions issues has been blown way out of proportion. The PS4 update has tripled the amount of currency you earned and taken the TOT difficultly levels down. Still, if you just want to go online and battle people or story mode you, you won’t see it. This coming patch for Switch as PS 4 has it now, makes a lot of good changes. There was also an earlier patch that fixed a few of the gameplay and graphics issues (super minor)
As for the connection issues, you can force a reconnect by restarting the game. Easy on the Switch but annoying; I’ll give you that.
The game is good and doesn’t deserve the disrespect it’s been given. If you want to stay away from the game because the micro transactions; your choice. Stick to your guns, totally.
As for the supposed feminist agenda + backlash rolls eyes whatever It’s not worth it for anyone to pollute the internet with more negativity. I don’t agree with review bombing, but I don’t agree with the bans either. The game itself deserves neither and should be taken for what it is and it’s gameplay.
At the end of the day this changes address many of the issues that fans have had. If still don’t want try it for yourself after the update, well that’s personal choice.
@westman98 yes but I was trying to point out those numbers are horrible for showing that. They are incomplete and the sales growth there might be digital.
@westman98 well I should say using those numbers it’s impossible. For one, those numbers don’t include the all Switch physical sales due to the delay, and two MK 11 has a higher age rating which could make digital sale far more appealing. Of course, I don’t think MK 11 is hiding giant sales number somewhere, but it’s not truly comparative to Smash. I’d also like to point out Smash is not nearly as niche as MK 11.
I mean which one is grandma more likely to buy? That aside I do think the smaller hard drive and younger audience might be what’s helping Smash do so well physically.
@RyanSilberman the problem is that Shiver needs MK 11 to do well to get to attach themselves to something else, porting titles to switch is becoming a good business.
That said I respect anyone that chooses to boycott something based on principles.
Considering I was playing this game on Switch at Starbucks on my lunch break well worth every penny. It’s just nice to know technically they also did a impressive job with it. Honestly good port.
The micro transactions thing is blow way out of proportion. Waaay out.
@Yosher people spend that much or a little less on a Movie and all they do is watch that usually once in many cases. I mean I think because we label things we forget how tied into everything it is. Story mode is basically an interactive movie.
@Agramonte I think it depends on what you consider to be a big game. For Nintendo, Pokémon/Animal Crossing/Mario Maker are Heavy Hitters and sale well.
And for those games, Pokémon especially, the Mini is needed more than a “Big Game”. A kid proof mini for those 2DS families would be welcome.
@Jayofmaya the two ships are basically Reskins of current ships. The weapon at least for Cerebus comes with the Deluxe package, not sure about Levi’s Scramble. The Startail pilot was a time limit exclusive for the Uk, she will be added with the crimson moon update which is free. I wouldn’t be surprised if the other two ships came as well.
Ubisoft has done a good job reshaping the game from the old Toys to Life model.
This literally the entire game. The only part you’d have to pay for is the new star fox content, the Crimson Moon part is FREE. And it goes on sale every other month for half that price.
@BenAV oh no the whole thing is stupid. When I first got the game it wouldn’t let me play FF X without X-2. I might have done something wrong there :c It’s like a mandatory 13 gig day one update for both games. Which if they had just gone that route would have annoyed people less. But I assumed I’d be able to play FF X-2 without the cart, no bueno. :/ it’s cool because X-2 is literally my favorite, but that’s going to make a lot of people mad.
@BenAV the problem is it doesn’t have its own icon (at least NA version) Both games share an icon. You have play the game to select which game you want to play X,X-2, or Last Mission. I still haven’t messed around to test if you can use FF X without downloading FF X-2.
FF X-2 is actually my favorite final fantasy. It looked gorgeous on a PS2, the battle system is one of the best. It’s biggest crime was that it wasn’t really X-2, but something different. The Switch version is pretty good and takes advantage if the touch screen which is a nice touch pun intended. It’s easy to read and looks like it was made for handheld mode My biggest complaint and maybe I’m doing something wrong but X-2 won’t play without the cartridge and FFX wouldn’t play without the Download. Did I do something wrong?
@sanderev so this why I couldn’t download FFX-2 last night.

@Gamer83 Capcom a different matter they treat all Switch owners equal. Poorly, but it’s equal. Square-Enix it’s just westerners.

@retro_player_22 Wow so your buying a 60.00 system for 1 game?
The rest of them don’t really need it. Anyway whatever don’t buy. I simply mentioned it so people don’t think they have to import.
Frak me for forgetting people would rather complain about something that actually do something about.
If anyone feels that strongly about it don’t buy.

@Tisteg80 patch fixes were around in the GBA era. You needed Fire Red/Leaf Green to fix R/S/E berry bug or are you too yong yo remember that ?
