Re: Review: Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion (Switch 2) - Decently Deep Mech Combat, But Clunky In Parts

Agree with review and comments. I was excited to hear about it because I had never played a mech game before until last March, when I loved Xenoblade Chronicles and its beauty and smoothness. So I thought it's time to try mech again. I played the demo. Good intentions but way too average, especially for highest tier price. For 40$ + big patch, I'll take it. Not to mention same release week as Silksong and Star Wars Outlaws.

Re: Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Gets A Free Demo On Switch 2

I played the demo until the end. That's a shame because the looting and upgrading is what I like a lot. But the textures, graphics, controls are way too average. Once you have been speen spoiled with Tears of the Kingdom map and Xenoblade Chronicles systems, everything else is pale. If the game prices hadn't become so crazy, I would habe gone for 40€ max. It's gonna be 70€. Shame. Also, Star Wars Outlaws same week for cheaper.

Re: Talking Point: How Are You Finding Mario Kart's Open World?

hyperion31

I made the mistake to get it day1 digital because I hadn't preordered the console and the physical separate game in case I would be disappointed. As I expected, it's not a flagship in my mind. I'm fan of open world but it's very strange to explore when you can't jump or climb like we have been used to in so many wonderful games.

I'm also surprised about the lack of options to track the unlocking of everything. No pinning, no tracking.

Online is fun but being a big Fzero99 fan where skill is all that matters, I can't accept that random items can change everything.

Ironically, I'm having a blast with discounted No man's sky, which I should have started years ago. I'll stick to Cyberpunk, Outlaws, surely RDR2, surely Mario Odyssey 2, solid open worlds.

Re: Round Up: The Final Previews Are In For Mario Kart World

Downloading at the moment. I'm doing exactly like I did for Tears of the Kingom: I read nothing detailed, I watch zero video. I was so glad I did that for Zelda, I got to enjoy every surprise by myself. Only after I finished the game at 60/70%, I started reading detailed guides for 100% completion. I hope it's gonna be the same for Mario Kart.

Re: Select EU Retailers Are Abandoning Nintendo's Suggested Retail Price For Switch 2 Games

France, famous supermarket chain where I always got AAA new games for 44.49€, latest example being Xenoblade X 44.49€.
Switch 2 : 439€
Switch 2 + digital Mario Kart : 499€
Mario Kart World physical : 69.90€
Donkey Bananza physical : 59.90€
Upgraded Tears of the Kingdom physical : 59.90€.

That's a little bit more acceptable than Nintendo official suggestions. It will even encourage me to get Mario Kart physical and not a lame code. Because good luck downloading 23Go on the 05/06.

Re: Poll: Are You Bothered By The Frame Rate In Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom?

hyperion31

I had not finished Link's awakening because of the framerate. Or so I thought. I finished Echoes. The framerate drop is noticeable, especially outside, especially f you horse ride. But since we spend lots of time in caves and dungeons, it was acceptable. Then, out of curiosity, I retried Awakening 5y later and I wonder why I got pissed by framerate at the time. Maybe it's because I was in love with Breath of the Wild perfection.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Celebrates First Anniversary With Special Artwork

I had spent years willingly avoiding any info, any video, any teaser. I'm so glad I did it. I knew nothing. The memory of the music, the yellow leaves. Only TOTK could make me feel that. Then I got scared that the game wouldn't surprise me on the ground because I totally knew BOTW, but no, they somehow managed to revamp everything, expand, and add two layers. When I see what how much they've put in 16GB... I'm speechless. I had a 150h run to beat the game comfortably. I started another 300h run to 100% it.
