It was a near tie between MK Wii and MK64...until MK8 came out and blew me away, that and alot of my favoritre retro tracks being redone on Wii U in HD (with more to come in the DLC part 2 next year) puts #8 head and above everyone of the others.

Nintendo/Namco REALLY needs to release one of these in the US for Wii U! would be a day one pre-order for the drum bundle (and an extra drum).

Also since Wii U is picking up steam, how about Namco you go back on your "we aren't gonna release Pac-Man Collection w/ Pac-Man Battle Royale becaue the Wii U doesn't have an install base worthwhile" HMMMMMMMMM

With the 25th anniversary of the US release of Super Mario Bros 3 being next February, I'd LOVE to see a Koopaling set (along with some powerup Marios, namely a Tanooki Mario Amiibo)

@Drobotic They are at least $20 for good condition official nintendo GC controllers on ebay...I'll probably buy the special bundle and at least one other GC controller (anyone else would be on their own/have to use Wiimote/Nunchuck)

Just got mine about an hour ago at Walmart in WV...played through two cups in 50cc....love it! I'd be playing now, but I gotta work in the morning, but I have aaaaaaaaallllll weekend to tear up some MK8

@AugustusOxy I MAYBE bought 3 "retail" games for Xbox, the rest of my gaming purchases was for XBLA. Why pay $60 on a game I probably won't complete when I can get the same about of gaming fun (at least for me) with a game that costs $5 to $15?

Soft mod your Wii with HBC and get your games "elsewhere" and you ain't gotta worry about losing them if your system dies, get another one, re-mod, re-install...

This "local multiplayer" experience is why arcade manufacturers of old ought to unite under this console and do what Microsoft and whoever the hell that company was that did it failed to do, Game Room, with REAL arcade games (not crappy Atari 2600 and Colecovision ports), the "virtual" arcade w/ cabinet representations, etc. There was nothing more social than the arcade scene in it's heyday. And Nintendo could kick it off with their biggest arcade title, Donkey Kong!

yes! if for no other reason I can play Taiko No Tatsujin legitimately and not have to download it...

I could see them doing a NSMBWii-style graphically upgraded version w/ 4 player multiplayer support (Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad) and do it as a couple level minigame in a future release of Mario Party (or unlockable, or even a downloadable game or something) would be neat. That being said, I like the arcade version.

full version is actually available on the DVD or as a downloadable extra with the purchase of the DRM free version of the documentary. It's insane how good this man was/is at Tetris. Ecstasy of Order is well worth picking up!

screw that bag, NA CN blows compared to Europe and Japan...Europe has Super Famicom Wii controller, the Mario Kart 7 trophies and Japan has/has had lots of kick butt stuff...

Moonwalker was garbage on the Genesis, arcade version was so much better.

got the retail version pre-ordered at GS, only downloadable retail game I have is Mario 3D Land and that's only because of the free game promotion through Club Nintendo (recently upgraded to a 3DSXL and got a Club Nintendo code from the Pokemon game that you could register to get the free game offer.

Instead of rushing out the next full game in the series, they ought to do Mario Kart Arcade GP 1(and 2) as a Wiiware release (with upto 8 player online multi - the same # of cabinets that could be hooked up together in the arcade) then focus on MKU (or 8, whatever) by having a legacy mode with all the past courses from SNES, N64, GBA and GC.

got it for my Wii, got it reserved for the 3DS, wasn't a fan of the wiggle controls, so playing in the same way as the original DKCs (with buttons) will be nice

Pokemon, Skylanders-style...makes perfect sense and they would make a mint on this expecially at $2-$3 a figure.

If only Nintendo would put the Mario Kart Arcade game(s) (except the new one that's coming out in Japan in the next couple months) on the next Mario Kart on Wii U, that would be awesome!

played the first Mario Kart GP when I was in Hawaii several years ago...I'm REALLY hoping (even though I don't have one near me) that Dave and Busters decides to put these in to replace the NASCAR game that they used to replace Daytona USA...

gojiguy, I wouldn't mind seeing them release a 2d/3d redo (not remake) of it (with DK Jr and DK3(in the same graphic style as New Super Mario Bros) with the original arcade versions as well, and make it a bundle. You'd figure with all the press the original DK is getting, that the Big N would try to capitalize on it...

agreed dude, best accessory you can buy for the Wii is that Mayflash NES/SNES controller adapter, beats paying $65-$80 for a Club Nintendo Super Famicom Wii controller on eBay.

I got 15 Super Famicom controllers from Japan for $60 plus a Mayflash for $15, I'm set for VC gaming

Wish we had the SNES Wii controller in our store like UK gamers do
