8. SilentJ 21 Jul 2011, 13:18 EDT I'm in LA but won't be going since I'm the only geek among my friends. I'd have to go alone so I'll be passing on this.
To Hell with the rest of your friends. I went to Video Games Live alone and it was flippin awesome! Go enjoy yourself, embrace your inner nerddom
3. Rapadash6 24 Jun 2011, 12:27 EDT Clearly Nintendo is running out of games to put up for Wii's Virtual Console. Sad to say we may not get games like Yoshi's Island or Starfox, unless they are saving those for Wii U or something. Say, come to think of it, has Nintendo even mentioned Virtual Console being available on the new system yet?
Still haven't release Contra, Mega Man 6, Battletoads, TMNT II & III, and many more good games (and those are just NES titles). They could do more if they really wanted too, but they're phoning it in for the remainder of Wii's lifespan. And why would you want VC on the Wii U? You just paid for these games during the Wii's run, why would you want to pay for the exact same game on the next system?
Gotta love being able to buy codes on eBay and other sources. Got Platinum Status on both of my accounts for the second year in a row for less than the cost of one game
Will be doing the same this Club Nintendo year too
@Gameday: It's reminiscent of WCW/NWO Revenge? That's all I need to hear, I'll definitely be buying this game eventually...
The basic controls are just like WCW/nWo Revenge--WWF No Mercy--Virtual Pro Wrestling 2--
Hopefully for the next one they go back to that control scheme with a couple of minor tweeks instead of the semi-complicated reversal system and not being able to interupt your own taunts when someone is coming at you.
Yeah, I couldn't believe how bad the sound was. But other than that, this is as close to a N64 WWF/E game that we have gotten in the states, not too bad.
Could this mean that the CD is on it's way out the window!?!
lol, just kidding
Actually you're not too far off. With the ever falling prices of flash technology, I wouldn't be surprised to see the next generation of movie players to go to solid state/flash devices instead of optical media (CDs/DVDs/Blu Ray). Probably gonna be another decade before we see a start to a transition though...
Walked into Sears today, and what do I find...this on clearance for $19.99! One copy left, so I immediately grab it. GameCrap still sells it used for $44.99. Not even sure if I'm gonna open it, but for $20 I couldn't pass it up.
Played this 2 years ago when I had a DS Lite and a rom card. Flippin awesome game (both of them). Wish they'd take more chances and release stuff like this in the states...
If you're in the US and you want the figures, but not the games, just follow these steps:
Step 1: Pre-order and pay for the games (when they release) Step 2: Pocket your figures Step 3: Proceed to your local Wal-Mart, say you got them as gifts and get store credit.
Won't have cash, but you'll have Wal-mart credit (which is just as good) and your figures :0)
According to Nintendo Power, it's Sonic 1, 2, 3 and S&K (w/ lockon for 2 and 3). Awesome that we have a port for the DS now (without having to resort to emulation).
There's a bunch of stuff on the Wii that I'll get and already have, plus it's this gens regular Xbox as far as emulation and hacking goes, so I'm satisfied with it.
With Wal-Mart offering a $50 gift card with the purchase of a Wii starting on Sunday December 6 and running all that week, that'll bump up sales a little...
ROFL at the Mario 3 drinking game. I remember I was at my aunt and uncle's house in Virginia the summer this came out. We did nothing but rent Nintendo games (I remember getting Batman, Contra, and this game to end the week). Plus I watched one of my favorite movies of all time for the first time (Big Trouble In Little China). As far as Mario 3 goes, I've owned this on NES, SNES (via Mario All-Stars of course), GBA, and I even bought it on the VC on my first Wii b4 I found out about softmodding it. This game is a permanent engraving into my video game life.
All around the country and the coast... People always sayin' "What do you like most?" I don't wanna brag, I don't wanna boast... I always tell em, "I like toast."

Re: Review: Dead Space: Extraction (Wii)
$14.99 on clearance at Sears. Since there's a crapton of shovelware out there at this price, I figured at 15 bucks, this game was worth picking up.
Re: Review: Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Wii)
Just found this on clearance at Sears for $19.99 and picked it up. For that price point, I'm sure it's well worth it.
Re: First Impressions: Sin and Punishment 2
SMG2 and S&P2 are must buys. NBA Jam in the fall, great year to be a Wii gamer!
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Arcade Games on Virtual Console?
Donkey Kong most definitely! The others I'd love to see as well, but at least give us the first Donkey Kong arcade game.

The Japanese music is intact for Muscle March. This game is so worth $5.00 just for the sillyness factor.

Got this when it came out months ago. Freaking hilarious and well worth a 500 point price tag!

It's already dumped for those who dabble in homebrew...
Re: Vintage NES Game Up To $8.5K On eBay
Zweck36, no. They played the actuall full SMB3 in The Wizard.
I'd love to see the ROM dumped, but the only way to get it w/o spending a crapton of money is to get it here: http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=68
And it's onsale for $65 (instead of the regular $85).
Re: Doc Louis's Punch-Out!! - First Screenshots
For those who homebrew...everyone will have it at some point I'm sure
