Moving on to Catherine, right after finishing Xenoblade Chronicles and Future Connected. I got burned out at Alcamoth (first visit) on my 3DS a few years ago... But this version is most definitely the Definitive.
@Cyz, make sure to pick up Operencia then! It won't last that long (27 hrs by Epic store timer for me) but it never gets repetitive.
Also depends on how long it will take you to solve the keys puzzle (can take a couple of hours but that moment when you solve it is worth every minute)
@Cyz, sure I did.
In exploration it may be similar or even trump the second Grimrock: environments are very diverse and environmental puzzles are clever (but ultimately solvable).
Combat though is very different, it's a separate-grid turn-based combat usually more akin to JRPGs. But contrary to JRPG principles (pointing at Etrian Odyssey or Labyrinth of Refrain), enemies are always visible and do not respawn. There are NO random encounters, and as such enemies are carefully balanced, EXP pool is limited and grind removed as a gameplay element.
I've completed it on PC and it's a total blast. I don't know if I want to double-dip, but I just might only to replay it with another character. PS. mage player is the strongest.
It's no more than a few days ago I remembered Conker and realized that it would be a perfect Switch port. And here you are, stopming all over my innocent (not really) dreams...
Finally picked up Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The cringy 'summon' system is thankfully offset with one of the best combat systems I know. If only AI knew how to properly perform BTLS combos...

Re: Nintendo Will Reportedly Release A $250 LEGO NES Console Next Month
Make it a LEGO set but also an actual working console and I'm sold.

Re: Soapbox: I've Been Playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons Wrong All This Time, But No More
The star rating is vastly overrated and totally unnecessary
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 6th)
Only playing Xenoblade Chronicles. Until I beat it at least once, nothing else for me.
Re: Review: The Elder Scrolls: Blades - A Grindy Free-To-Play Bastardisation Of Bethesda's RPG Classic
Sounds just about right.
Re: Free-To-Play Elder Scrolls Game Expected To Launch On Switch Later This Week
Another TES game that I will never play...
Re: Video: 19 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In May
Xenoblade

And probably Xenoblade!
Re: Community: We Want To Visit Your Animal Crossing: New Horizons Island
I'd love to participate. But I need to do some massive-scale deforestation before that...
Re: Gallery: New Screens Show Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition's Gorgeous Environments
Holy... I'm doubledipping, hands down. I have played 3ds version and loved it. This looks gorgeous!

Re: Start Living The Good Life When SWERY's Next Project Arrives On Switch Later This Year
@nessisonett if only it doesn't get the D4 treatment and uprooted before it could bloom.
Re: LEGO Super Mario Officially Unveiled, Features Interactive Mario And Fan-Favourite Characters
Nightmare-inducing stuff. No way I'm letting my kids near that.
Re: Random: GAME Mentions Non-Existent Nintendo Direct, Quickly Removes All Evidence
C'mon, give us a Direct! I want Mario Kart 9!
Re: Nintendo Discounts Top Games For MAR10 Day On Switch eShop And In-Store (North America)
And here I thought I'd cave and get SM Odyssey and Mario Kart...
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 29th)
Witcher 3 for the whole weekend. Nothing else until I beat it.
Re: Nintendo Download: 27th February (Europe)
Maybe, just maybe, Rune Factory 4 to remember those days with 3DS. But I still have a lot of hours planned to sink into SWitcher so probably not.
Re: Dangerous Driving 2 Brings Split-Screen Open World Exploration To Switch This Year
I instantly got Burnout Paradise vibes from watching this.
Are you saying it's coming with a local multiplayer?
I must play it with my kid.

Three Houses DLC all the way.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 8th)
Astral Chain. Makes me realize how bad I am at action games, lol

Only five choices? Get serious guys! I want them all!

Re: Rune Factory 4 Special Will Launch Physically And Digitally On Switch This February
I totally loved it on my 3DS. Seems like another month or two of my life will be going down this drain in anticipation of RF5.
Re: Huawei Is Launching A New Gaming Phone To Rival The Switch, And It Costs Over $1,000
@Deeran113 I'm saying that because I've been using Android for years and this is quite literaly the contents of Play Market out there.
Re: Huawei Is Launching A New Gaming Phone To Rival The Switch, And It Costs Over $1,000
It's Android, so what users will be getting is 50% utter trash, 49% microtransaction-riddeen gacha games and 1% of ports of decade-old games.
Re: Kariosoft Releasing Three Simulation Games On Switch eShop Next Week
These games stand quite far apart from shovelware. Personally, I don't really like Game Dev Story but I totally enjoyed Dungeon Village on my phone.
