Re: Nintendo Predicted To Become "Primary Partner For Third-Party Game Publishers"

“Of course, it’s likely that both Sony and Microsoft will release their own native handheld consoles in the coming years…”; I disagree with this. The most Sony and Microsoft are going to do is release a streaming or remote-play handheld device. Streaming / remote-play devices are not the same as a handheld console.
Sony and Microsoft don’t care about handheld gaming and will put in the absolute minimum effort into that category.

Retromania Wrestling comes out soon (no WWE license) and that uses the old WrestleFest game engine from the arcades, so anything is possible. Problem is that WWE probably doesn’t care about bringing back the WWF No Mercy game engine to their games. They probably don’t even remember that it existed. Therefore we will probably have to rely on an independent game studio without the WWE license to bring it back like they did the WrestleFest engine. Hopefully we all haven’t died of old age before that happens.

I loved WCW/NWO Revenge and WWF Warzone because Bret Hitman Hart was in those. Unfortunately, he left WWF right before AKI got the WWF license, so he wasn’t in Wrestlemania 2000 and WWF No Mercy. This two games were great, but Bret Hart’s absence was definitely felt in those games. If they were to ever remake them, I hope he is added to them.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 7th)

I unexpectedly played Turok Dinosaur Hunter for four hours last night. I had been stuck on the level 3 boss for a long time and I decided to give it another shot. Last night after four attempts, I finally won and I was on a roll and having fun. I finished levels 3, 4 and 5 (level 5 boss was much easier than the level 3 boss and I beat him on my first try). This was my first Nintendo 64 game and I beat it in 1997. Playing through it again is a nostalgia trip.

Re: Reggie: Don't Expect Nintendo Switch Online To "Mirror" The Competition

I'm happy with NES games for now as long as they put some licensed games on the system, such as Ninja Turtles, Friday the 13th, Top Gun, Ducktales, etc. Virtual Console wasn't very good without these games.
To people asking for SNES, N64 and GC games, give them time. They are just getting started with this streaming service. Those will get here eventually.

I might get this. I just hope they don't put "Internet download and microSD card required" on the box art like last year. I think that puts a lot of people off on buying the game. I can understand that it needs updates, but can't they just use a bigger cart to store all the data that the game needs so a microSD card is not needed?
